Quick report of Bangkok visit. Quite a few things have changed post covid
Was in Bangkok in first week of March and quite surprised and a bit saddened by post covid changes. The soi 23 sidewalk is completely torn up, its getting fixed. Several massage shops on this road closed although 5-6 still in business. The "nana road" from sukhumvit road towards grace hotel sidewalk was also completely torn up. Didn't see a single FL in this area whereas in past this was a good place to find a few dozen. Grace hotel was looking gloomy and had may be just 2-3 women outside.
Sukumvit road from Asok to Nana petrol pump has become a regular, tourist filled road with very few freelancers. I used to find well over 100 in this stretch few years ago, now, mostly I found no more than 15-20. Some of them near Thermae area. The Biere garten as it was named then is gone, replaced by a newer, smaller and open concept bar named beer garden. Didn not see more than 5 FLs when I visited it twice around 10 PM. Quite sad actually.
The quality and quantity of massage girls in soi 24/1 is seriously down. During the day, there were very few girls sitting outside. Not even one was attractive to me. It did pick up quite a bit around 7 pm. Visited new snowhite but the offerings were meh. 1800 for 40 minutes and 2100 for an hour.
The only positive point was that more FLs now congregate in nana area, the street usually had close to 80-100 ladies around 9-11 pm. The area is simply too busy but one can still find a diamond in the rough there but requires great deal of effort and walking. Quite a few African and stani women too. Asking rate was 1200 bahts, thought it would be 1500-2000.
On the whole Bangkok has become much hotter, and somewhat expensive too. Can't walk far without a A / see taxi which now a days costs about $5-6 just for a km or two. Traffic has become seriously worse. Bangkok is fast declining as an affordable mongering destination and becoming more and more family tourist friendly.
All FLs I sampled were still pretty good except one dud. But it not the same as it was. As it was. I miss the good old 2000's.
