You sometimes can't tell the difference without looking down their panty.

I think what this guy meant is LT price for the girl is 2500 pesos-not a tip.
In EDSA you need to pay the girl separately. Unlike AC where barfine includes everything and if the girl is good you give 300-500 Tip.
EDSA-you can negotiate it down to 2000 pesos for LT. Girls will accept 1500 pesos for ST apart from the barfine. Most girls from EDSA like to run away after ST. If you choose young girls they will stay with you. There is a rule there that if the girl is barfined she has to report to work the next day,so I was told. Once I Barfined a hostess from one of the bars who was real pretty with nice figure. She said she worked only part time there, her being a mistress of some lawyer in Manila. She even gave me his card. For the next three days she stayed with me from 4PM - 3 AM. The reason is she said her BF sometimes check on her to make sure she goes home directly after work in EDSA. Usually I take a dim view of these stories but this seems to e true as he did call many times while we were together. I had to pay her only 1500 pesos per day apart from dinner, drinks etc. She took me to some very nice restaurents and bars. Very nice classy company because she looked like a model. I elieve she said this lawyer takes care of all expenses including rent etc and gives her 10,000 pesos a month for pocket money. But she said they never go out in public and only sex sometimes in her apartment. She wanted me to go to her apartment to stay all night but I declined. Definitely did not want a lawyer with high connections in Manila as a enemy.

First, thanks again to everyone for the advice on hotels and where to find the action. I was only there a few nights but had a good time and I’m looking forward to returning.

The first night I had just got in from Thailand and was pretty beat from all the fun I had there. Plus the fact that I’m working all day long and can’t sleep in. So after my business associates turned in for the night I grabbed a cab and headed for the EDSA Complex. It has an interesting layout with the bars, but they all seem to have pretty much the same system going, the difference being the theme of the bar which to me is meaningless. I’m there for the girls, not to admire the décor.

Being tired and spent from Thailand, I decided to take the night off and headed back to the hotel and got a good nights rest.

The second night it was off to Burgos. There were a lot more bars than I thought there would be and I tried a few out. Defnitely higher prices, but the quality of the girls seemed to be a bit higher and there was more fooling around in the booth, though nothing like Thailand. I settled on 2 girls and had an OK time chatting and fooling around a bit in the booth, but it just didn’t seem worth it when they quoted the 3000 peso bar fine and 3000 peso LT fee on me. After I said no, mama dropped it to 2450 each (not sure where that number came from). I actually told her I’d do one for 2000 but she said no. The girl I sort of wanted to do was willing to drop her price too with the “up to you” thing. It’s not that I’m cheap, but I just wasn’t that into the girls or the scene so I left.

I was thinking of heading back to EDSA when I ran into 2 street girls who offered themselves for 1000 each. My experience was telling me don’t do it, but I figured for 2000 pesos I’d at least blow my load and maybe it’ll be OK since again I was really tired and had to leave for work the next morning at 7AM. So off to the Dusit we went. I’m not sure why, but I didn’t feel like going thru security and the lobby with these two plain looking girls so I made them come up after me. Dusit security called me to make sure and minutes later they were at my door. The other nice thing is that when they left, Dusit security called up to the room again to make sure nothing bad happened. I like that added security; one more thumbs up for the Dusit.

I’m sure there were some comments made as we strolled through the lobby, but the Dusit staff was cool about it.

I’ve done most of my playing in Thailand and from the limited stuff I saw in Manila, the PI is better than most places but to me falls short of the LoS. The girls are certainly good looking but I like the wider variety of establishments and systems in Thailand. I’m not trying to restart a Thailand vs. Philippines debate, both are good and better than almost anywhere else. In Bangkok or Pattaya there are just so many options and different types of places and I like that. But it's also that I don't know Manila very well yet.

I’m hoping maybe next time to check out the re-opened Manila Bay Café and maybe even swing down to Angeles for a couple of nights.

That place sounds familiar. When I was staying at the Palm Plaza there in Malate right arround the corner and down 1/2 a block was a Japanese bar like you explained. I went in there with a filipina friend as she told me she wanted to try a threesome.

I cant remember the name of the place but it is setup for Japanese men. There were about 12 nice young girls working that were instructed to stand and greet outloud each customer that entered and did the same when you exited. There was an entrance fee that came with 2 drinks of your choice and some snacks from the small buffet table.

you are correct, you still need to try ac. barfines are still at 1400 pesos, with hundreds if not thousands of girls to choose from. no tip is required.

Well... there's no place on earth quite like the LoS. The downside to that is IMHO, that a lot of the girls have now gotten quite commercial and mercenary. The 1 thing in my opinion that the Thais have taken to a whole new level is the air-mattress-soapy-all-inclusive massage, or Arb-op-nuat - like at Poseidon, Chao Phraya, Emanuelle, etc. [i]That[/i] you cant find anywhere else in the world. Good info. In the first 2 Burgos bars I went into (not much data I know) the hostesses were really aggressive and wouldn't go away or take a hint.

But the other thing was the dancers were really passive, almost uninterested. I know all I had to do was approach one or motion one over, but I was hoping I'd get one to at least walk by and some indication from one that was interested.

The first few dancers did do that but like I said I wanted to sit back and check out the whole lineup, so maybe after they saw me turn down the first couple they figured I wasn't interested in any of them. The hostesses did keep coming up and asking me which I wanted to choose.

I learned my lesson by bar #3 and that's when I was more agressive and chose a couple that I wanted. It was just different from what I was used to or maybe just a odd night for me, I don't know.

The other thing was after I had my girls, the waitresses and hostesses (mamasans?) pestered me a few times for drinks.

Overall I found the girls to be pretty good about not sucking down their drinks really fast. The great girl I met in Cotton Club only had 2 drinks in the 2 hours I sat with her and I had to almost push her to order the 2nd one after she refused a few times.

In some bars the girls are agressive, in some bars it seems every woman in the place will ignore you (and you are the only customer there).

A different approach is to sit with the pushy waitress or mama first, and buy her a drink. For a ladies drink, she'll give you 20 minutes of her time and tell you anything you want to know (actually she will do that without a LD, its her job). Tell her what kind of girl you are looking for (or what kind of naughty), then ask her to suggest a girl who might be interested in you. If she suggests herself as a candidate, and she's not your knockout-type, tell her you are only interested in the dancers. Don't let her call over a girl right away, ask her to point out two or three girls that might be interested in your junk. As she points to each, stop her and say, "Tell me about that one. " That way you know the age and how long they have been working in the bar, and can then decide which (if any) that the mama pointed out, to call to the table. Once the new girl walks over to your table, look at the mama/waitress and say, "Thanks for your help hun. Let me talk to Jenalyn now. " Pretty strong hint for her to leave. If you don't like Jen, call girl #2 that mama talked about.
