First time in thaiand was last year in August for a week of debauchery and uncontrolled spending.
This year, in August again, I am trying to prepare myself for expenses.
Your detailed expenses are irrelevant because you won't do the same things everyday. Even for a week, Bangkok can be boring so I would suggest you the Following:
Bring 100,000 with you and you will have a Very good time.
Bring 100, 000 with you and you will have a Very good time.
My previoulsy posted daily budget estimate translates into a total of 127, 000 baht over 15 days. And this without tips, bar fines, etc. But I guess you're right, prolly gonna go on tours and treks and such and take it easy on some nights.
Any recommendations for non-mongering daytime activities in BKK?
well well well....

don't telegraph that before you get a booking or some other bastard will book her first.
i think you need the upstairs room for some extra action rather than just sit back coach potato style.

Watch out for the tooth diamond ;)
Actually diamonds are getting popular at Tulip but I prefer all natural look as far as possible (exception is that I llike shaved).
Knowing Miss Tuk, the couch will be fine.
But she is such a BJ expert that I don't even want to fuck her at all. Her Deepthroat feels so much better than any Covered FS.

The discussion of how much to take on a trip to BKK got me wondering about something related:
If you go into a bar, are you automatically expected to drink?
That might seem like a strange question, but many years ago, I had reason to give up the drink (and the reasons are still valid today). I know a lot of stateside "gentlemen's clubs" will throw in a "free" drink as part of their cover charge, and if you don't order one, they just bring you something anyway and set it on the table. A waste, but the forms must be followed I guess.
So, if I go into a bar in Bangkok, and don't start drinking right away, am I going to have trouble with the wait staff/owner? Are they just going to come over and hound me to "buy drink" and, if I don't, give me the heave-ho? Anyone have any experience with this?

When you into a bar anywhere in Thailand and most countries of the world), you don't have to drink, but at least you have to BUY a drink!
I don't drink alcohol at all, so I just order a 7-up when I go into a bar.

Are you really expecting an answer to this Question? seriously?
When you go to a restaurant, do you order food? what would you think of a customer that comes in, sits down and just looks around... ordering nothing? he's just a waste of space.
If you don't order a drink (not even water), they'll throw you out. A bar makes money not on girls but on drinks so if you ain't drinking, you ain't staying.
In the busy bars, you are even pushed to order a new drink often because they don't like people hanging around and nursing the same drink for ages.
It's a business, not a companionship agency. If one wants to look at girls without drinking then Soapies are the best place for that, not bars.

The Bars do serve non-alcoholic drinks and even water. You are not expected to drink but you are expected to buy a drink in a bar.

Yes!
...So, if I go into a bar in Bangkok, and don't start drinking right away, am I going to have trouble with the wait staff/owner?
The answer to that question is "Yes" of course. The bar is in business of selling drinks, and depending where you go, the price for the first drink (and maybe the following) includes what is effectively an entrance fee,
So you have to order a drink!
But nobody forces you to order an alcoholic drink. As long as you fork up the money for a drink, they'll be happy to serve you a coke or even a bottle of water. You'll pay the same as for a beer, but your choice of poison is up to you.

I agree with you. It is a very strange question! Of course you have to drink something. It’s a bar.
I don’t like being too drunk when I finally roll out with a lady so I often switch to bottled water towards the end of a night. Note that non-alcoholic drinks cost about the same as alcoholic ones so be prepared to pay 100-120 THB for a water or coke at a go-go. It’s not what’s in them, it’s how the bar makes money.
And there is no cover charge at these bars so I don’t understand how there is any parallel with US clubs, there is next to nothing in common between the two business models except each feature girls inside.

You will get hassled as you should be. What’s the issue with buying a soft drink or two? Obviously you’ve gone into the bar to enjoy yourself. Why should you be able to get this enjoyment for free?
It’s how the business model works, the bar makes some money off the customers who come in and just admire the ladies. If you want to enjoy their closer company, you buy them drinks and the bars make a little more for this extra level of enjoyment for you. If you actually take the girl out and deprive the bar of their money making employee for the rest of the evening, you’re “fined” an additional amount for you to enjoy this further level of pleasure. This system has worked well since time immemorial.
If you don’t think it’s worth 100 baht to enjoy what the bar has to offer, then don’t go in. You should not expect to get it for free.
