If you ask for a Bolt car, you will pay less than a Grab, IF and WHEN it shows up. If you order a Grab car, it will show up and on a long trip, you will pay 10% more than Bolt. But it will show up. And if you want to go fancy, you can even get SUVs and Benzes. You can get bikes too. Please check your health insurance to ensure bikes are covered.

Budget travelers: Taxis and Grab bikes and Motocys are cheap. You will stand there waiting for Bolt cars as those of us in Grab zip by. But you will save $1. Then you can report here that you saved a dollar to the kudos of the budget crowd. Riding a Bolt bike through back Sois in 100 degree heat and pollution to bang a photoshopped chick in a cheap hotel to save $20 gets you kudos in that crowd.

Anyway, to the non budgeters, I say, nay, I shout (with appropriate finger gestures):

Do you want to stand in the heat somewhere while waiting for a car because some budget traveler told you you can save. A DOLLAR? Do you want to adjust YOUR plans to accommodate the fact that your car might not show up or is late? Hows that bladder feeling at 4 am with all that cheap beer gurgling while you wait for the car? Can't shell out an extra dollar, piss your pants instead?

The ones in Soi Nana are the skankier ones, although there is rotation that will bring a few "decent" ones past you.
