Another trick people do when they have lots of carry on is they have one of those large shopping bags and load it up with stuff. Most airlines won't weigh those or even count them as a carry on. As Global wrote some times you get lucky and Air Asia doesn't weigh all your bags. Possibly cause he paid 1100 baht for over weight carry on already.
Has anyone used Smooci lately? Some nice FL on there. TIA.
As a first time visiting, is a trip worth it in late May? I know it's considered the shoulder season, will I get the full experience? I have seven days and open to suggestions.

As a result, the random musings about pronounciation, cabin baggage, food, Thai politics, etc make this forum one of the BEST sources of DEEP information about traveling, living and FUCKING in Thailand on the Internet foir Westerners.
Why? Because only the rat really knows the sewer. Gutter crawling mongers know where its at.
Now consider: all the other Thailand forums can give you good information but censor the funner aspects. Hell, you can't even write the word fuck. And while I roll my eyes at the porn novels some folks write here, I read them anyway to glean that IMPORTANT information, good food, good rooom, good route, cool sight, fun market, interesting interactions.
When I, 30 years at this, need some info, I search here FIRST, then go to other sources. And if I see a respected member say, hey, after I got my turgid pole slobbered over, I ate a Burger at. , I put it on my list to go there. And I already know about Air Asia, I have flown it 8 times in the past 12 months, but I bet Billy Bumbleshoot from Sheepdip-on-Tyne doesn't.

It's a good time to be in Thailand if heat is not an issue for you. The Songkran fools are gone. The girls are coming back down to earth having spent all their money they made over Songkran. The ball is back in the men's court in terms of pricing. Sure there may only be 70% of the number of girls by mid-May but 70% of A LOT of girls means there's now only a lot of girls. The girl to guy ratio is crazy.
A lot of guys whine how crappy Thailand is now but I bet we all wish it was our first visit to Thailand again.

So many are so disgruntled with the hobby scene (price and girl quality) but still live in Thailand. I saw the demise coming in 2018 so moved to Japan even before COVID.
Why do you guys remain in Thailand assuming you don't have a Thai wife? There are places out there with tons of girls even cheaper than Thailand. PP, Jakarta, PI to name a few. imo Jakarta is currently hands down the best place for value for pretty young girls.
Admittedly, Bangkok is a better place to live if girls aren't your main priority but for me if not for girls I'd live in Switzerland or Tokyo.

I can't imagine living in any of the sex tourism centers like Pats, AC, etc. Bangkok is an interesting city in its own right with many attractions but also horrific traffic and pollution etc. Jakarta I agree is the best place for Asian pussy today but I couldn't live there either. Its no wonder expats living in sex tourism centers (sexpats) eventually get jaded and bored. For me it happens on day 4 so all my trips are usually less than 4 days if sex is the main purpose.

Thai wife, friends, etc. I was mid 30's when I moved here in 99, and Bangkok ticked all the boxes. Now approaching 60 and the weather hotter in the pollution worse, it's not that enchanting especially with the changes in the p4 p scene. Absolutely jealous as I can be of you living in Japan. I've made a few trips and absolutely love the country. It's clean, everything works, the food is outstanding, transportation is wonderful, it's not particularly expensive, and you have four seasons. I found that as I get older my ability to deal with heat has decreased in cold weather really agrees with me. We're thinking about spending February March and April in Japan every year. Unfortunately in Japan you only have three visa options, marry one, start a business, or get a job.

But I suppose the reason I and so many other expats I know don't choose to move elsewhere is because we are not all that disgruntled by it, assuming, as you point out, the P4 P scene is such a big or sole reason for our living here.
I certainly have had complaints about it, but I don't know if I would say I was ever disgruntled enough to consider moving.
I have still managed to have Real Sex / DFK, DATY, BBBJ, BBFS+CIP and BBBJ+CIM plus occasional Swallow with hundreds if not thousands of above average lookers since I moved here 12 years ago. Then, wonder of wonders, a sweet and lovely, English-fluent young lady fell in my lap at my ripe old age of 70 who has demonstrated more loving care, affection, total sexual satisfaction, fun and great company at a relatively silly small additional expense for me to keep her jobless and free to travel, explore and goof around with me 24/7 than anyone I have ever known.

Would all of that have happened or been normally available to me in Jakarta, PP or PI? Maybe. But I hear despite BBFS being normally available in Jakarta, simple DFK, DATY and perhaps BBBJ+CIM is not. And I seriously doubt the quality of day to day living conditions are anywhere near that of Bangkok or Pattaya.
PI? I haven't been there in almost 30 years but even back in those good old days for farangs in PI it was much more of crime-ridden shithole than Thailand. I did like the PI P4 P situation better than Thailand, Bareback sex being much more hassle-free there. But I have heard being a farang stopped being such a lucky outcome in terms of getting Real Sex with above average lookers there about 10-15 years ago.
PP, I don't know, never been there. Is it really a better place for 60-75 year old farang expats to live than Bangkok or Pattaya?

The body type are usually same or close to image from the ones I've visited. Only had one that looked a lot slimmer in pics than real life. Most didn't speak too much english and don't really deal w / farangs w / their size restrictions usually listed on their page. A few I had real close to reality face but the usual PS is there like in TF. Only seen maybe 10 ish different ladies from FF so a small sample size.
No clue about negotiating price but my guess is probably not. Guess could depend on the lady if she's popular or not.

Once a month or so is enough for me. Ill end up back in the States for 5-6 months anyway soon /.
