Medellin Reports

You may or may not get your Medellin back. Medellin is what it is, was what it was, and will be what it will be. The subject of Internet resources like this one that are oriented toward Colombians has come up lately. Besides content that is all about providers, cost, and performance appraisals rather than self assessments and self promotion, the other notable difference is you never see nostalgic pining for past times. It's all useful information about what is available today and what may be on the horizon. On the other hand, I remember during the pandemic you could expect one or two guilt trip responses to every report you posted because there is segment of uribista conservatives who decided we were posing an existential risk to Colombia every time we fucked a prepago. It's the typically Colombian mentality of situational conservatism among people who can afford the mid range providers that are the focus of review websites. We've all since made peace with each other. It's interesting how the elimination of blue balls promotes peace and understanding.

It was already bad before the pandemic. It's not the weekend warriors that ruined it. I would do weekend trips. It's the "Make it rain" fools that fucked it up. On a side note, expats living in Colombia during the pandemic experienced favorable pricing. Can you imagine why?

Unfortunately, MDE will never be like it was before the Pandemic, and based on all of the posting activity in the last year, I would guess at least two thirds of the posters started showing up here after the Pandemic started.

And most of the new posters seem like pretty good guys, and I don't blame them for showing up here.

At least for us "pre-pandemic" guys, we pretty much had the place to ourselves, albeit MDE was getting more and popular, but since the onset of the Pandemic, mongering has exponentially grown here.

Then the price went up and the performance went down, way down. All due to the high amount off dumbass flocking to MDE. I normally hire Uber por hora (Uber by hour) and that works as most of the information anyway is all around. I sometime then make a deal of per day rate with some uber and indriver guys and do outstation trips etc.

I don't get the negative comments about Medellin from a few people. I don't really understand the guys making comments like 'oh, this is why I don't go to Medellin" .or "this is what Medellin used to be " what is the point of this? Who does that help? And how does that help?

Anyway, I have been coming here 7 years straight and I have an absolute best time every time I come. Dollar is stronger than ever. I pay less now in dollars compared to 5 years ago. There is so much variety for all tastes and price ranges. No one is ruining it for anyone. You could pay 40 mil or 1000 mil a session, there are girls and venues that offer that and clients willing to pay that, 11 am to 2 am every day of the week. Hard to beat.

Planning a solo trip to MDE Jan-March. Just started going through the forum as a first timer, but hoping for any catered advice or to chat with anyone willing. I plan writing an extensive trip report so I can contribute some value to the forum.

Background: Mid 30's American. Started mongering this year. Have done RLD in Amsterdam, strippers in VIP rooms / hotels in Miami Atlanta. Poor Spanish, but using this as motivation to get to functional tourist fluency. My 1st trip to South America. Considered Barcelona as an AMS equivalent, but this is slightly closer and cheaper.

Goal: Being ISG, knowing that there's variability and always risk I want to make this simple, hassle free, safest for high volume of "high end" girls 8-10's. My tastes are the conventionally attractive, in shape, slim thick Instagram types, enhancements or natural even if a 6-7 would perform better. In Amsterdam I was doing 3 girls a day from window girls, which is child's play in difficulty compared to MDE it seems. I plan on coming back to MDE / Colombia, Sao Paolo, Barcelona in future for Latin mongering, so this 1st trip I want to play it safe.

Targets: La Isla, Fase II, Loutron, Gusto. Seems enough volume of safe options for high end girls near where I'll look to stay in El Poblado. If 1 sucks, its not too far to do the loop. Maybe once I settle a couple days I'll be more adventurous.

1) I've been told that race may matter. I'm ethnically east African, but ambiguously brown to where I'm Cuban / Dominican, maybe pull of dark skin Colombian. Muscular but avg height, so maybe I'm not the easiest target but being solo I won't push it & will dress plain to local standards. Will my look change general recommendations with safety or girls?

2) Is it worth forcing a 2.5 day trip sooner, or just wait until I can do a max 5-7 days to do it right?

3) Budget: If 5-7 days, for food and lodging I'll go the mid / high end route. As for the girls, I'll have the energy for 2-3 sessions a day. What would be an upper limit ceiling for 10 encounters giving buffer for covers, transport, a few drinks, expendables?

4) Transport: Uber to those clubs from Poblado are all 10 min or less. Is walking 30-40 min too risky?

5) Ignoring budget & assuming Poblado location, any major benefit of mid / high end hotel vs high end SuperHost Airbnb? Airbnb's may more easily allow guests, but hotels have security. Read nice, guest friendly, Poblado hotels are Hotel Dorado La 70, Hotel Poblado Plaza, Art Hotel Boutique.

6) Is there a general curfew that it gets exceptionally more risky to be out solo? I'll be making daytime visits and only want to be out at night only as late as needed for the best menu.

I've spent a fair amount of time in other venues that I've come to dislike over the years. I no longer frequent those places. I rarely read about them and I 100% never spend time broadcasting my displeasure with them. I consider it self destructive to spend the limited time we have engaging in that sort of thing.

Oh my, I am feeling waves of gratitude I haven't experienced anything like this. I can remember having minor irritation after short term binges back when I used to squeeze a month of action into a week or less. Even now I immediately stop and correct any girl who gets to handsy during oral or heaven forbid hits me with teeth or a piercing instead of tongue and cheek. New Skin works great, is waterproof, and I brought a bottle with me from the States and it would probably work on your Johnson. It comes in a small bottle with an applicator brush and stings when you use it until it dries.

In your current situation, you might try some Baby Diaper Rash Ointment, which I think is basically Zinc Oxide. I've used it in the past when I've gotten road rash, and it's very sticky and seems to heal things up quickly.

I welcome the negative comments about Medellin because it lets guys know that it is not all good in Medellin. As with all places, there is good and there is bad and sometimes you get a mixed experience.

That point is that there are some guys on the fence about going to Medellin and negative comments allow them to make an informed decision.

For guys who are going to Latin America for the first time, I actually think it would be better to go to Guadalaja, Mexico or Costa Rica first because it is just easier for gringos who don't speak English and it is a safer experience.

That being said, I just came back from Medellin and I had a good time but there were some negatives to the trip. When I have time, I will post a few comments about my trip.

All the clubs you mentioned are just high price, not really high end. Scandallo alone has more bars than all the places you mentioned combined but it is much more expensive.

I typically wear basketball shorts / joggers, basic t-shirt, and some adidas or nike shoes. I would leave the jewelry, watches, and brand new phones at home. Not worth the risk imo.

2. I would personally wait till you can do a longer trip but if you live in Florida its a short direct flight to Medellin.

3. Energy living apartment complex is going to set you back $100/ night minimum, food is going to heavily depend on if you are dining solo or with a chica. Sessions are going to set you back 250-300 k minimum more if you go to the clubs and pay cover drinks etc.

4. Lots of hills in El Poblado so I would recommend taking an uber unless you want to sweat your ass off.

5. Lots of high end airbnbs are in apartment complexes with secruity, pools, gyms etc. No personal experience with the high end hotels but I hear they charge guest fee after a certain time or just flat out charge after 1 chica / day. varies by hotel and whether or not you book the room for 1 or 2 guests.

6. Its probably just the American in me but after 2 am I don't really see a point in staying out any longer, its not going to get any crazier or better in my opinion. But there are spots that stay open till 8 am (not sure if this is still true post pandemic).

But yeah if you have mongered in MIA and ATL I don't see money really being an issue for you unless you just want to budget your costs in order to take a longer trip.
