I have been to Medellin just once in 2019 and absolutely loved it.
I am contemplating going back to Medellin but Dubai is also an option that is possible.
Never been to Dubai, Anyone who has been to both places can you provide me some comparison points.
Other than the obvious which is high cost per encounter in Dubai, would Dubai offer better options in diversity, venues, better things to do during the day etc?

Based on the context of his post, comparing what you get from La Isla, to what you get from Scandallo. It is a waste of time spending time in La Isla even if it is closer and cheaper. I speak from experience that I have been to both in the past few months.
For you or others who have many other options, that will be different.

Hi everyone, am currently in Medellin since Sunday and wanted tô give a Quick Update on some points that have been discussed here:
All BBVA ATMs I've tried spit out max. 300 k peso and costs are 15 k pesos (that was an equivalent to 72 EUR) Bancolombia gives 600 k and costs are about 22 k pesos (damage in checking account: 151 EUR). So the BBVA option is definitely better.
All the nicer Hotels in el Poblado charge an extra fee if you bring girls so staying there. So the hotels make only sense if you already have a girl that travels with you. Best option therefore is an individual Airbnb. I cannot recommend Factory Lofts Laurels BTW.
Walking around laurel is and el Poblado is super safe. People here are really friendly and nice and during daytime you need to be stupid as fuck that something happens.
Please just don't take iPhones or iwatches with you. An iPhone 13 pro is a half year salary for a regular Colombian. So do the math. I always have a cheaper but good Huawei phone with me. No one cares about that.
Best sim carrier is Claro. Buy the SIM card at any street vendor or Kiosk (5 k peso) and top up with a 15 day package with 10 GB, limitless calls and SMS (20 k peso). Do the top up and stores called "gana" - green colour, minuscule letters.
Girls in el Centro around Veracruz were all really really nothing I'd ever touch. I'll go and have a look there today again. Better options:
Mia at Ella's Erotic. (130 k for half an hour with BBJ). This woman is pretty fantastic, definitely an 8 out of 10, about 30 years. Earlier, I also saw some posts and fellows complaining, that Lysto spray got expensive and over 25 $ a bottle. Well, maybe that's the case in the tourist rip off center. But just go to any farmacia o drogueria. The official price per bottle is around 50 k peso. I just bought one today at Farmacia Pasteur. Red with blue in the logo. Regular price for the bottle is 43.330 pesos, I got it today at a promotion for 36830 peso. That's about 9 USD. I'll try it out right now, not that I would need it. Just for fun. Have a good time.
I was looking for an ATM that allows you to take out a fair amount of pesos. At the Banco Davivienda ATM, I was able to withdraw the equivalent of $440 US. I don't worry about the fees because I have a Charles Schwab card and I get reimbursed. I was impressed at the amount of pesos I could take out but it came out in 100 mil peso notes. I prefer the smaller notes but the 100 mil notes went fast with the Facebook chicas.

There are definitely women abvailable, but the experience isn't good. It’s also IMO not much of a tourist destination. I'the never go back unless it was extremely convenient for me.

But from a numbers perspective, there are other cities in Colombia that have a lot more strip clubs and casas and better food.
