I can't imagine the Police enforcing a ban when the Park re-opens on Putas on the streets surrounding the park, versus inside the park which they can regulate.

I'm waiting for the day when the Putas migrate up the hill and start plying their trade in Provenza. I've never seen any working up there, and it's basically just a few blocks up the hill from Lleras.

I just came back from my first visit to Medellin and this is a short post with some observations.

I was not robbed or drugged and I did not feel that it was any more dangerous than other Latin American countries. I followed all the usual precautions and I was fine. I think that if you do the same, you will be fine too.

I only speak the bare minimum of Spanish and I was able to get by. In Poblado, there are a lot of gringos and so there is some English spoken. Even in places where English is not spoken, using Google Translate will help you communicate.

I decided to focus on Facebook girls and they were as flakey as you would expect but there were some gems among the Facebook girls and I was happy with the results. Based on research, I decided that 200 to 250 mil for 2 hours plus transport was my target price and for the most part, I was able to get young attractive girls 18-22 years old to agree to that. I might have been able to go lower but that price seems fair to me. Some girls were open to barebacking, some were not. Some girls wanted condom for everything and would not budge. The gem of the trip was an attractive slim girl who just turned 18 a few weeks ago (with ID proof) and was friendly and sweet and good in bed. She was the only girl I saw twice on this trip.

Surfer you probably know the self appointed mayor of Provenza. Her real job is owner of La Tasca, the noisy hole in the wall Spanish restaurant that specializes in Paella. It's directly across from the also noisy Burdo and Gato. She is a champion of the anti puta policy in Provenza. Yes it has, Luna is flirting with clip joint territory. I think you can negotiate lower prices during daytime hours. Of course the selection is not going to be as good. Also, buying drinks is optional. My favorite thing about Luna has always been its 24 hour opening hours.

With Seeking I perused the major destinations with direct flights from the east coast. After a few days evaluation the options, the abundance of Medellin talent was very clear. I do prefer the petite Asian type, and after years of dating accordingly -- I was eager for a change but also looking for familiar territory. There are certainty many chicas in the 18 - 25 range that have nice slim figures, flat bellies and cute faces.

But importantly and perhaps obviously, there is a wide array of different body and face types, that I wasn't necessarily looking for, but happy to encounter in the process of broadening horizons. I think it's safe to say that the Paisas are built different (in many ways), but generally more curvy -- even for the seemingly slim chicas. Not was I was looking for exactly but happy to have some variety.

Upon arrival:

Things do become slightly blurry here on out so it's hard to provide a good play-by-play as others have done. The options on Seeking were all very good in quality, but varied drastically in price point. Quotes anywhere from $80 to $250 USD for TLN. In a pinch, I went with a 26 year old on the higher end of the price spectrum because of her responsiveness, willingness, smoke-show pictures and overall vibe (pics for reference).

[/QUOTE]I've been going to Santa Marta for years, and have never witnessed or heard of anything un-safe within the town.

What you may have heard about though was the violence associated with the drug cartels within the Magdalena Department and their turf wars which has been happening.

In reality, Santa Marta is a hidden gem in Colombia, and most people prefer it over San Andres and Cartagena, and it's way cheaper. It's where a lot of the Colombinas go, especially Rodalero, about 12 km away from Santa Marta which is similar to Cartagena with a wide beach and high rise apartments.

My recommendation though would be to stay in Santa Marta versus Rodalero.

It was a place that people would walk through to get to the other side. Now they can't while it is under construction. I don't get the obsession about the construction and the park part being closed whatever. It never had anything to do with anything other than being a bit of greenery in an entertainment district, part of which is considered Parque Lleras. Yes, you could not consume alcohol in the park, but you could carry an open beer on the streets around, and that is where all the people were. Police have, in the past, at times kept working girls out of the general area, with mixed success. When I was there a few years back there were very very few working girls on the streets in Lleras, but police of the city or whoever decides apparently backed down on that later on. But it had nothing to do with the 1/2 square block that has the trees and is actually a park.

Parque Lleras entertainment district was Calle 9 A, 9, 8 a, and 8 between Carrerra 37 and Carrerra 40 then 39. That is it. West of that is Provenza which is part of La Florida I believe, north is LaLinda, immediately east is Astorga, and south is El Poblado, but all of these are part of the communa of Poblado which has a population of almost 130,000 people. Poblado is Comuna 14 of the 16 or so in Medellin.

First time was with my LT GF. Second time was for a 3-some I couldn't turn down (could have been anywhere). 3rd time was cheap flights and only 2 nights with a girl that was begging me to go. Whereas I spent maybe 3 years in Santa Marta, on and off. Am there now.

Cheap as always most places $1-$3 USD for Uber. 90 Mil /$32 approx for for Airport rides. They always pull that scam toll "peaje" not incl, this time I caught the fucker.

And said yes the fucking peaje is incl in the fee, when we arrive I will show you in the app if not I'll pay. And of course the toll was there. I still tipped the fucker.

When going to the casas, many of the regular taxis don't know them by name nor can get there even if you give them the address, so I use use Uber and voila!

Thing is not all regular taxi drivers have a cell w GPS, most don't and all Ubers must have GPS obviously.

- HOTEL / FOOD:

We stayed at the most noob friendly place, Hotel Dorado LA 70 due to the area being closed to everything like clubs, restaurants, walking distance to metro, stadium.

Street gym, etc. Can walk everywhere and no influx of dirty gringos LOL. Thankfully my bud is money smart as well and didn't like the El Poblado gringo taxes.

Dorado costs less than $35/ day, baclcony view, hot shower, Cold AC, great staff, very comfy bed, good breakfast, chica friendly even two at once and never a fee.

(booked for 2) - Every biz is nearly opened back up, thurs-sat it's a party city till 4-5 am.
