It's an utterly stupid and foolish act. No offense, but there are many fishes.

His foolishness will make very difficult for seniors to share, which is obvious.

Recently similar incident happened in Chennai forum also.

There are at least 25 FRs that I have not written. It's really tiresome. A flood of PMs, mostly from new members. And if a contact is shared. A flood of calls or messages to the lady.

I now share anything only with seniors, that too only those who seem willing to communicate and help.

It's not a gem if it's asking for advance. It's a trap with a mirage.

Just block and move on. FYI, Many of the genuine birds have also started asking for advance but did you know why? So that they can just take the advance and not provide you any service. This is a very true incident where a known bird (s) did it for a few seniors too because apparently, she learnt that people fall for it and pay advance and it's a much easier and faster way to make monies than provide services. As simple as blocking someone as soon as the advance is in.

So no matter who that is, never send advance. Even if it's known to be previously trusted ones. Keep in mind, At the end of the day, it's the money for which they're working in the first place and if they can get it without providing any service, then you really think they'll have some morals. They're in this biz by leaving aside the morals and then jumping into it. So strictly avoid.

And of course many of these are not even legit birds. Some guy with a stolen identity building a mirage and running the fraud biz.
