But I can see why she and others like her would take that approach. Maybe she has a day job and is only supplementing her income. If that is the case, than I can understand raising the price to the ceiling even if it limits her to only a few customers. Less hassle, and each encounter is more worth her time. To be honest, it's probably what I would do.

But if she really depends on this income, than it is a very risky maneuver. If you have priced yourself out of most of the market, than all it takes is one or two bad postings, just a few whispers of dissatisfied customers, and her business is DONE.
