First night was after a nap, shit, shower, and shave. Stayed at the Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit. Very pleasant and visitor friendly, excellent breakfast.
I stayed in that Hotel for a week the last time I was there, on the apartment side, it has full kitchen etc. The reason I choose to stay over there in Soi 57 vs around Soi 11 was the Octave rooftop bar. I had heard the bar is filled with freelancers. But in my experience, all nights I went up there, including weekend nights, I did not find any; all girls there were with someone already. It was a good try-out for me but next time I am going to stick with the Hotels around Soi 11.

Question
Where do the deaf girls hang out?
The girls inThermae talk about me so I always have to be on my best behavior as I have a reputation to uphold. On the other hand, because they talk about me and I always uphold my reputation, I get the pic of the litter there so to speak. I guess 30 years of attendance in the same brothel counts for something. Just as an aside, the boss told me that they're going on 27 years in this location.
On Sunday night, the stroll was 99% ladyboys. Most of the genetic girls I see on the stroll we're missing. Rainbow five or four, the one not in the corner, was dead. The lineup at billboard was weak. There was some hotties at bunnies on the main floor but my usual Mama son wasn't there so I passed. I did not stroll soy Nana. I did notice there is still a paucity of deaf girls.
For you true pervs out there there's a midget ladyboy with the deaf girls. I apologize to the admin in advance for even mentioning that, but it is way too unique to not be commented upon. Although I've had a midget or two in Bangkok, I would of course draw the at that point although some of you won't.
The Nepalese dude on the corner of soy Arab was packing some fabulous buds coated in crushed diamonds. Quite potent, and he'll negotiate. Don't even think about buying it from a store, the stand in MBK Center was selling the same product for it 3,000 Baht a gram. Yeah, right, head down to Soi Arab.
Minimizing Jet Lag
I suggest a different imperfect solution to jet lag. I try to schedule short layover flights that arrive BKK in the afternoon and then I use the following routine: check in hotel, get laid, eat dinner, go to bed between about 7-10 PM, and sleep as long as possible. That usually gets me well rested and up in time for the hotel breakfast. Jetlag is about 80% resolved only 20 hours after arrival and is 95% resolved about 44 hours after arrival.
Interesting strategy from Mr. Trader. Food for thought.
Here's what works for me when I cross a dozen time zones. My philosophy is to make the trip as quickly and comfortably as possible, and to arrive at BKK around sunrise. Toward that end, I book trips leaving in the evening with just a single stopover of less than five hours. I've connected in Tokyo, Frankfurt, Istanbul and Doha. Flying Turkish Airlines from the east coast of the United States and connecting in IST results in two flights that are roughly equal in length, and that airport is pretty nice. I've reached the stage in life where I fly business class. Preferably using points / miles. But even if I have to pay out of pocket it's worth it to me to have a comfortable seat on the plane and a luxury lounge during the layover.
I don't drink alcohol when I'm flying. Plenty of time for that when I reach Thailand. I eat modestly. I won't claim to sleep well, but I get a few winks here and there. Arriving around sunrise gives me a second wind. I feel sharp getting out of the airport and into my car. Usually I head straight to Pattaya, arriving mid-morning. Plenty of time to check in, buy supplies and have a eat a light lunch before fatigue overtakes me and I take a nap. I set the alarm for a few minutes after sunset, and I resist the temptation to party all night. After a few drinks and some what not, I'm usually ready for bed in the wee hours.
I know I'll bolt awake near dawn, but that's OK. I force myself to get outside in the sunshine and walk to breakfast. For the next couple of days I'll still need that afternoon nap, and I'll still wake up earlier than I'd like. But by the third day I'm usually adjusted.
All of the previous reports tend to show how YMMV the whole scene is. For example, I would never waste my time on an Escort or Fiw Fans or TF simply because I want to pick out what I am spending my money on in the flesh. I don't do massage parlours as I prefer my girls a bit more untouched. I don't do Soi Cowboy, too many tourists and too much drama.
I get all I need out of Thermae and Nana. At prices cheaper than that referenced here, but that's the beauty of being an old timer.
Funny how we old timers are all different. I'm exactly the opposite, only utilizing fiwfans and oilies. Haven't pulled from GoGos or Thermae in well over a decade. About once a year when a friend is in town and wants to hit a Go-Go I'll accompany him, but I'm quickly reminded why I don't go. Thermae was my number one hunting ground up till about 2007 or so. Can't even begin to count the number of gals I pulled from there. It was also the hangout of a lot of dudes who had been in Bangkok since the '80's and a whole lot of the Southeast Asian writers would hang out there, so there was always great conversation to be had. Was a fun party every night. But now when I go in, just kind of depresses me.
Oilies and Fiw allow me to go and get the job done anytime in the afternoon or early evening as well. I don't think any of my friends here, who are also long term residents ever pull from Go-Go's or Tmae. In the evenings will usually get together for a decent dinner and then hit a nice craft beer or wine bar. Hanging out with friends has and always will be one of the great things about living in Bangkok.

The problem I have is that their in-flight food is so outstanding that it is difficult to not overeat. Then, you get to the IST business lounge where they have an insane number of good food options.

Trip Report Update
I have been on the ground for over 10 days now and I have been to many of the gogos and beer bars and all three red light districts: Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy, and Patpong. Here is what I have noticed about the gogos to have success. You can't just walk into a gogo and point to a hot girl on stage and expect all out GFE and an amazing night. Its not quite that easy. I have had better success when its a little later in the evening, as time winds down the girls will be more willing to go. Also, here is my best tip, get the girls who come up to you. They are the ones who obviously need your business and want to make the money. I am no longer going to even call a girl over. I am just hitting 3-4 gogos after 10 pm And waiting for one that I think is cute to give me a look and then come over to me. Once they sit down, if they start putting your hands all their tits and ass, then you know its on like Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Quest. Sadly, I may think 3 k Baht and 1 k Baht bar fine is now the standard. Some girls I have quoted me 5 k and I always decline and they drop to 3 k. Patpong has given me the lowest success rate. Soi Cowboy has been fun, but lacks the number of gogos of Nana. Nana is fucking wild and that whole street is a shit show. I saw some older tall ripped up Indian dude in tank top last night pulling girls. He straight up looked like Dhalism from Street Fighter LOL. The street even smells like a fucking cross between a chinese massage parlor, a chinese food restaurant and a sewer. If you look around the beer bars of Nana, there are actually some decent girls mixed in and they super fun to have a drink with. Only problem in the beer bar is all the waitresses will ask you for a drink. Just decline and they will smile and walk away.
I may be wrong on this statement, but I think some bars want to focus on Asian men. Try to find out which bars these are, and if you aren't Asian, then avoid them. Like I said, if a cute girl grabs your arm and pulls you into the gogo and sits with you, then that's the gogo and girl for you. I really like the music of Angel witch in Nana, but girls not that hot when I was there. Also the bar on first floor in Nana to the left as soon as you walk in has been good. Hope this helps some of you guys.
For anyone who has a drinking problem. Don't come to Thailand LOL. I have never drank this much in my life and its really starting to show LOL. Besides the girls, massages, bars, gym, and pool, what do you guys do to pass the time? I am really trying to not drink for a few days to focus on my health a little bit.

Not my idea of a premium product.

TK Business Class

The price reflects that.

The price reflects that.
I'd agree Turkish airlines are (probably surprisingly) good and a solid provider and tend to be the cheapest option. I think however the seat issue with the 777 isn't exclusive to them, it's more an issue with the aircraft itself. Having flown a couple of times business class with Emirates for example, the 1st leg on a 777 and the 2nd leg on a A380, there simply is no comparison (except for the price! With the A380 experience being far superior and more enjoyable.
Those coming from Europe, I wouldn't knock the one long leg approach, there are direct flights for example from London and Heathrow to BKK on Thai Royal airways, it's 12-13 hours but I found if you are the type that can sleep a bit on planes, it's not bad at all, the planes might be a bit tired but the staff are A1 class. They tend to get you into BKK early morning (into the quiet terminal which is a breeze to get through) , so if you can arrange an early hotel check in, you could be tucked up in bed for a few hours nap and then still get up for a late breakfast or brunch by noon.

Thailand doesn't have scenic sights or ancient temples or Big Buddhas or techno shopping mails or canals and boats or anything like that, right?
No offense mate, but those things would bore me to death. Much rather gym tan and pool. I was thinking of renting a bike and driving to Chang Mai or Phuket, or perhaps joining a muay tai or boxing gym. Anyone have any experience with any of them?
I had to get a taxi home from immigration after getting my visa-free extension for another 30 days. Couldn't get a cab so I gambled on a motorcycle taxi driven by a 60 year old thai. I am probably pushing over 240 lbs these days LOL so I was bit skeptical this little Thai guy was going to be able to weave us through traffic properly for the 45 minute ride home. This motherfucker this handled his shit like a pro and got me back to my hotel in one piece. For anyone wanting a cheap ride and is comfortable on the back of a bike, these guys know their shit. Anyway, I am big into bikes back home and it got me itching of doing a trip over here. Anyone have any experience with that?
Any good boxing gyms to recommend in Bangkok or Pattaya. I have been hitting the heavy bag at the gym I have been using and I got a dirty look from an older thai woman for making too much noise as its a normal gym and not a specific boxing gym.

Pro Tip
ALWAYS make sure the girl hasn't eaten spicy food before giving you a BBBJ!!
Trust me on this one.

Somewhat agree
Probably the big generational gap is the factor. I am practically not even 30, and girls which you so much enjoy from Thermae are completely mechanical for my taste. You'd be very surprised what GFE is nowdays for us younger generations. Although I am sure you have taken probably tons of girls, I have relatively smaller base of 10-12 girls from 2 visits, and I based my opinion from that.
Anyways like you said.
Your dick, your money, your choice.
I can only speak for myself, for me extra 500-1 k baht with GFE is much better than mechanical culture.
Although I agree with Fiwfans, I only pointed in terms of money value. I had a bad exp there too when I tried, twice, so it was just an exploration scene and probably no-repeat for future.
At Thermae, I think the service and attention from the girls depends on who you are.
I'm in a similar age bracket, in good shape, and have several "freebies" (I use the term freebies loosely, as you pay one way or another).
My experience at Thermae. Fun to drop in from time to time (was there last night for a beer), but I never attract much attention from the girls there. The one girl I took from there was very mechanically nd wanted to rush it.
However, from my experience, the Asians and older farangs attract the most attention there, and do quite well (similar experience on Soi 4).
