As there is not a lot to do in AC when not mongering, when you go to the mall all the girls know why you are in AC. If you live in AC you may have a chance, but for short visit it is probably not worth the effort, as they are more likely to be looking for long term. Now, before I get flamed, I am not saying that it can't be done:D

I met a girl in one of the bars, she was 19. Her story was she met a Japanese guy in the mall, two months later she was pregnant, got married had the baby lost contact with hubby now in the bar to make money for baby.

Showed me her wedding photo, she was looking for her next husband. ME.

I think Japanese are well liked all over asia. There are reasons for this that I won't get into, however

Koreans are unpopular because they are rude, noisy and stick to themselves.

Robb[/QUOTE]It make me recall back one of my short visit 2 years ago to angeles. I meet 2 young girls when I'm buying a big box of dry mango in sm small. They sales some sort of drinks or coffee there, so I ask them where can I get a box of mango. They are very helpful and asking many things unrelated to the mango. In the end, I buy them some chocolate. They said they are free and would like to having dinner with me after work. But since it is a short visit, I don't think I can play this game well in such a short time. So I quit and go back to my Disneyland.

Some korean and japanese fly to angeles every month, this is what the western can't do. Just like some hong kong guys go to china every months, it is so cheap to spending there than their own country. I guess if they book the promotion air ticket, maybe less than $150, they live like a king in angeles with little money.

I ask some girl in angeles, they said korean tip no less than P500, and sometime P1000 or more. Some board member always said 200-300 is more than enough, and I don't think got many korean board member here.

I believe Americans are in the Top3, they have the tipping culture in their blood.

I agree with you, the japanese are the big spender in Thailand. They have their own club and place, and outside the door maybe written in japanese "Chinese, korean, white guy & dog" cannot enter, and we can't understand it.

Maybe the korean are dominate the Philippines, so the japanese keep low profile. They don't want to have a fight with the korean. The korean will win for sure because the relationship with the local cops. So they move to Thailand or some place they can win.

2. Korean Looks

They don't look handsome to me, ok maybe the young korean guy are cool like Rain.

3. Korean Foods

The worst food in my life, nothing more to say.

4. Korean Movies

Korean have the most touching and shocking movie, japanese lose, but I like the japan av.

And my angeles ex-gf told me that the korean hate the japanese, because the japanese earn more than them.

And it is Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific flying them in cheap. They come to play golf and drink and have sex.

I spent three days in AC last weekend and during a bar hop I met this cutie. She has been in the bar less then a month and after talking to her I told my buddies that she would be gone, as in permanent barfine, in less then three months. As I continued talking to her she told me that her first barfine was coming back in a week and had asked her if she wanted to leave the bar. When it came time for a second LD I asked her if she wanted to barfine, as I don't support drink sluts, she looked me right in the eyes and said, "Sure, why not, it is my job sir!".:D

Not really a shock as I think you have not accounted for the exchange rates during the mid 90's and today.
If I recall , way back then the rate was $1 US= about 25p
Today the current rate is $1 US= about 46-47p, as we are getting almost double the exchange rate now over 15 years ago.

1995: 500p= $20
Today 1000p=$21

So the prices haven't gone up too much at all, even with the on going inflation over 10-15years, it's only about $6 more for the same FS so you are still getting a real bargain. So this should be happy news, not shocking news.

Of course I could be totally wrong As I'm getting older now my memories could be failing but these are the exhange rates I remembered way back then.
I only wish prices at home were this good over the past 15 years.

Yep, you are getting old and I'm surprise you remembered that far back. If these prices and exchange rates are correct then prices really haven't gone up too much in 15 years.

Is this story true? It says a new shuttle service began in March linking the airport to Clark gate for only P30. How come I didn't see it on my last trip? It sure hell beats P300 for a taxi.

I guess it's true and already operating.
I arrived yesterday at DMIA, I had my transport by LGH but I saw several fully airconditioned jeepneys around there.
They even expand the terminal with fingers for the planes, so no need to walk anymore under the sun to the terminal.
