Based on my experiences with immigration at BOG in 2019, and MDE now, with the same passport and same visa, I prefer MDE for my future entry.

The biggest piece of advice. Learn Spanish. Especially listening. It makes such a huge difference when you can have a conversation with someone. Fuck duo lingo, use Pimsluer, find tutors online, go to Spanish language exchange meetups in your city. Get your practice in. You'll regret it if you show up with nothing.
Security Stuff:
I have 3 wallets, 3 debit cards (with less than 500 on them and NOT set to auto refill) and 3 phones. I never take my main phone anywhere, it is always locked in my safe. This way, if I get mugged, I have 0 hesitation in giving my stuff away. My contacts sync to the cloud. It will suck to lose the SIM card and WhatsApp chats but that's life.
Financial stuff:
There's a banking service app Revolut. It has a max withdrawal of $1000 USD / mo, but the fee afterwards is super reasonable (. 5% I have tried all the major ATMs and found Davienda to give me the best rate (after declining the ATMs conversion of course), it's about 3-4 percent off the exchange and no fee.
Getting around:
I've been using indriver for everything. Usually only a few minutes, love the cash payment after, great way to get rid of coins as a tip. Drivers friendly.
Saturday. Went to Luna Lunera around 6/7 pm, very few people in there. 20 k entry. Minimum 3 beer bucket 75 k for a seat next to the poles (though not a whole lot of dancing going on). Lady drinks 25 k. If you come to Medellin to bang 9's /10's then don't bother, but I had a good time groping the ladies and handing them 2 k bills (when the mesero changes it for you, he'll keep a 2 k bill for himself. He tells you this). Took a lady up, she was so cute and tight tiny body. We talked about kissing and ball sucking but neither actually happened. She had lied to me making an excuse about cameras in the room and how she would get in trouble. I almost walked out but I was so horny and she was still quite sensual pushing her body against me and kissing my neck. That being said, I would not repeat because what bullshit. She still had the nerve to ask for a tip after. 210 k for 30 minutes (310 k for 60), but knock was definitely closer to 15-20 minutes. Long day of travel went to apartment to sleep.
Sunday. Spent the day getting situated, groceries, seeing the area around my apartment. Oh and a seeking date! We met during the day and I took her to the cat cafe. She was not into it LOL! We went to a love motel after (my apartment has a no prostitutes rule and while she was dressed very cute, it bordered the line, and I wanted to play it safe). I intentionally didn't ask for specific activities because she seemed quite timid and I wanted to take it slow because I'm hoping to see her again and develop something more naturally. Anyways, we'll see how that goes. 200 k.
Met up with a board member and we had a nice chat and beers at the bar under San peters apartments. The owner came by and gave everyone a drink ticket for the next visit and a free shot of rum! We decided to head out to La Isla but got there too early (8) and the place was empty. Met up with a random other American who found the same issue and the 3 of us headed to Poblado to burn a bit of time before heading back. This was fun and I realized that more than anything else, it would be great to have a buddy or two on my trips.
After heading back to La Isla, we paid a cover fee of 50 k and then had to buy a bottle for 280 k (this included a service fee) in order to have any kind of proper seating. Mesero seated us then glared at us until we picked something haha. I really liked this place, the girls were very cute and there was lots of quick lap dances and you could just pull anyone walking by or flag anyone over to sit down and chat. Almost all American / foreign clientele. Crispest 2 k bills I've ever seen and no forced propina (though I gave one anyways). The music wasn't too loud, the bathroom was nice. I also had some very sweet conversations and got a few phone numbers. Take out for later because the price seemed stupid - 210 k for 3 private dances, 310 k for 30 minutes in a habitation, I would rather get to know them better, see if they laugh at my terrible jokes and get a better session that's more like a date.
None of us took anyone back and we went to luna lunera. The fellas weren't super impressed but I was having a great time. The ladies recognized me from the night before lmao. I was also a dirty mother fucker that day and was wearing the same outfit from the night before. In my defense, it had only been a couple hours of wear the day before and smelled fine! This time the lady who impressed me with her dancing promised me no upsell or bullshit, but then still asked for a propina for ball sucking which I gave in to, she was doing a good job. She was on her phone a few times which bugged me but apparently she owns a business and it had gotten robbed. I heard her mother weeping retelling the story to her when our session was over. I don't know why we continued, I suppose she would've gotten in trouble for stopping the session for any reason. Really sucky situation.
I chided everyone on my way up for the earlier knock the last time. This time it was only 4 minutes early, but still, early is early. I scolded the maid. Buddies still had fun getting lap dances it turns out. We were done and got some food in poblado and went our separate ways.
More tales to come! I rented a second place for an upcoming weekend where I can properly host some of Medellin's finest ladies. I'll let why'all know how that goes. I recognize I've been acting like a silly gringo, but that ends now, no more excuses.

I'll be in town Tuesday 10/25 for about a week. Staying in the heart of the beast at Hotel Nutibara. I know how to move in not so safe areas so I'll be good. I stayed in the slums in Bogota and was fine.
My Spanish is horrible but it'll have to do as I do not have enough time to learn anything of significance by next week.

It just started to grow from there. You can also look at their friends list if it is open. I also used a technique where you can look at reactions to their posts and usually there are a few gringos. Then you look at their FB page and you can steal their contacts by just looking at who reacts to their posts. For example, I started with one girl and she posted a picture and there were two gringos who reacted to her picture. I went to their FB profile and they had over 60 girls who reacted to their post so I just checked out every girl and asked to be friends with most of them. Then I would go through the process again with each girl. Before you know it, you have hundreds of FB friends who are attractive girls in Medellin.
Once that happens, FB will start recommending young attractive girls in Medellin to you and you just start asking to be their friends. Also FB starts recommending you to young attractive girls in Medellin and they will ask to be your friend.
Now I have 830 FB friends so I am slowing down now and being much more selective. More than anything else it depends on the girl. It's helpful to check them out in one of the short time places to decide whether you want to take it further. I'm not sure what you mean by "negotiate travel. " I suspect you are referring to paying more money. My advice about that is to negotiate a fee that includes the sex acts you specify and the girl's presence in your room for the time it tacks to perform them. As a guideline, 30 K is the prevailing rate for a "rato" (about 30 minutes or 1 pop, whichever comes first). I've never had a girl refuse 50 K for a trip to my place. A couple of caveats, my 50 K fee generally includes an open bar and food if they want it, also my sample size of houseguests is small because I'm much more selective about who I bring home compared to who I bring up into one of the no tell hotels in Centro.

I don't use Revolut. I assume it involves fees as mentioned by the original poster. I do use a few banks that don't charge ATM transaction fees and I only use the Colombia bank ATMs that don't charge transaction fees so I don't pay transaction fees ever. There is a long list of posts about various debit card issuers. As I mentioned I have a few of them and I don't care about anything other than limits and fees. When I say fees I am referring to the hidden variety as well as the per transaction variety. I consider minimum balances a hidden fee for example.

I suggest you to test the girl, and if you like her, you'll bring her home on the next run. It's risky to take a girl from El Centro to your place, if you don't know her. Some are drug addict and they may even carry a knife to defend themself from the guys who want to still their profits. Test before, that is my suggestion.
