A1 is simply an affialite partner of Hotels.com of which is owned by ian.com a Barry Dillar company - try gohotelrooms.com, another great ian.com partner but a bit more user friendly.

On priceline, I could always call the hotel and they could confirm the reservation and take down any special requests. With hotel.com, I can't do that, they said the hotel won't get my name until just before checkin.

My question.... if they e-mail me with their confirmation number can I trust that I really do have a confirmed reservation. I had gotten a price too good to be true.

I agree! I've also been accused by coma boy of being at fault when I talk about "the reality of Chiang Mai", as you were in later posts. They don't all go home with men, some do only work for drinks, and I don't believe its comon to pick up on a non pro in a shopping mall.

PS. Thanks coma boy for the good advice though, you are a big help to this forum and i think the reason people want to know more about the brothels is some like it in the day time (non-sopie, non 2000 baht),

Well, to pick-up non-hookers you do, believe it or not, actually have to put in a little effort. They won't come flocking to you like P4P.

But, I think Firedick summed it up best - "Maybe it's a hygiene thing".

1- Go to Chang Rai, then on to Mae Sai, walk accross the border and that's that. Takilek is very depressing. Traveling beyond Takilek is next to impossible.
2- Take a bus to Fang, change to Mae Sai (only one afternoon departure I believe; return from Mae Sai 7am), et cetera.
3- Fly to Rangoon or Mandalay.
4- You won't find me in Burma no matter what (but that may be good for you:D) because I don't like the way SLORC (=State Law and Order Restoration Committee) run that country.

Airfare.com saved me some money and had seat availability that others did not.
I tried gohotelrooms.com and there were very few choices. This one had a good selection:

A buddy recommends the Montri Hotel, but I doubt it's guest friendly.

I'm a frequent visitor to Burma for both business and pleasure and find the girls there very nice although some can be a little inexperienced. Check out my report in the Rangoon section for details. But I've also found the girls there to have a little more "go" than the ones I've experienced in the LOS, maybe because the Burmese girls don't do it as often as the girls in LOS and thus tend to enjoy the experience a little more?

The people there are genuinely nice and humble and can do with foreign interaction.

There are probably some places that are a safe bet, and some to avoid.

I think Comaboy had a question/comment regarding the interest in the no-name brothels. I've written a couple of brothel reports. I guess my interest lies in the new experience novelty. There's something about finding and entering in a low-exposure place with no sign. Then, as you walk in you see 15-25 girls just sitting there waiting. Then you pay your 350-550 baht for a short time (which is pretty cheap as compared to the MPs). It's nice to have a place you can come, see and bang quickly for so cheap in the EARLY AFTERNOON. Sometimes I don't have time for a 2-hour oil massage or the long bath that procedes a fuck in the MPs.

However, I must say, the novelty getting old. Obviously, the girls on average are much older and less hot as compared to Pandora, Sayuri, Nancy, etc. The rooms are dirty, sheets/pillow cases are never changed, you see the used condoms from previous customers in the waste basket next to the bed, bathrooms are gross etc. Somehow I tend to notice the filth immediately after I cum; oddly, 30 minutes prior to that event -- I only noticed the lipstick and skin smiling at me... Well, now I think I tend to echo some of CB's comments...yes, on to something new...

I've never been to some of the larger Karaoke bars (New Star / the place behind Forte / places in Chiang Mai land / etc.). Can someone let me know if they have short time rooms? what are the prices? Is it true that most of the girls just want to milk you for lady drinks?
