I am in Budapest at the moment and am pissed off like hell

I just came back from a place called "caligula bar", and on the front it also says "Candy shop"

So what happened

When entering, people came to me and asked what i wanted to drink
Had a beer, on the menu it was said : beer 1200 Huf, which is a reasonable price.
But then i looked at the prices of the drinks for the ladies, bottle of champagne: 33000HUF. So decided it was high time to get out of there.

Then the joke. I got my bill: it said 28000 HUF. So i said, i just had a beer. They came with the menu card, and in small letters on top it says: first drinks 23000 HUF (first scam). And then they told me, the intrance fee is 5000HUF.
When i looked at the bouncers, it didnt seem a good idea to put up much of a fight.

Just wanting to warn you guys: avoid this place
With a bit of luck, this tourist trap will go bankrupt, and another rip-off will dissapear.

They apparentley didnt care about the fact that this was going to be put on the internet, so, here it is.

The cab drivers, have a big menu card in their cab with the discription of this club.

So avoid it

This type of bars should be always avoided in all countries.
Particularly, I believe that in this thread some scam experiences/warnings were posted time ago.

I assume you were just looking for company: let me tell you that for same money you can have a beautiful session with a beautiful girl here.

Do not know. According to an online translator, either ár, árat megállapít, beáraz, becsül, értékel.
Maybe some local guy or expat or frequent traveller can help.

The situation is indeed turning from bad to worse. I visited Zuglove (in Zuglo 14th district) recently and was shocked to see how bad the quality of the girls has become! in the US) to use 36(Hungary) and 1(Budapest city code) and the seven
digit number. Is this true as if the number is listed as 36201115555 or as
06301115555 does this translate to 36-1-1115555 or does Budapest have
other city codes except 1 I should use from the listed numbers.
-I must have called twenty providers today and I have reached none. All I
seem to get is busy signals and can someone explain to me what this means
when I received them at least 90% of the time?

Does anyone have know of any English-speaking providers in those districts (I am staying in XI and trying to stay as close as I am able to as I will be walking) that actually answer their phone and speak enough english to relate prices as I am looking for the basic offered for one hour only.

Albert Punter's Alexa is in my price range as I will be paid a typical Hungarian salary for the time I am there.

a) Phone numbers

I believe you are mixing land line numbers and mobile phone numbers.
As you well say, when you call Budapest from abroad, you always have to dial exit code (011 from US), country code 36, and area code 1 (only one for Budapest).

When on websites you see numbers starting with 0630 or 0620 or 0670 or ... followed by 7 digits those are mobile phone numbers. In this case it is puzzling a little bit. As when calling from abroad you have to dial 011 from US (or whichever exit code from your own country), country code 36 and 20 or 30 or 70 or ... , so you don't digit 06. BUT when calling in Hungary you have to dial 06 too, so you dial the number exactly as reported on the website.

b) English speaking

It is a hit or miss. However, generally every apartment as a girl who speaks English who can give basic infos. That was the case with Alexa.
In some websites, they mention foreign languages girls can speak.

It was reported already that some pics are fake and mislead you. I had same experience.

My only personal suggestion would be not to chose model type.

I remember a couple of websites which have a section with pics taken by them. In that case you can trust pics are real.

I am sorry you still have to satiate your hunger. This is a city where opportunities to get laid are many. Maybe all you need is a little of time and luck.
