Etisalat (the government telecom provider) offers an Al Wasl line which works on a pre-paid basis and would simply buy as much credit you want to load in.

Not sure if there is a counter at the airport, I know you can get them at Carrefour Supermarket and most of the mobile phone shops. Cost if I rememebr is Dhs195 for one year, including a Dhs 10 credit to the phone.

Just back from a business trip to Dubai, and had some fun on my final night

Stayed at the Rotana on SZR for a week, and most nights were spent in the company of my boss and colleagues.

However, on the final night we were in Longs Bar and I made my excuses pretty early and said I was off to bed.

However, instead of going up in the lift, I duked out the front door, jumped in a cab and wet to the York Hotel

Now I am the resident expert on this place!

The massage is generally of a fairly high quality and quite reasonably priced (compared to some of the crazy prices being charged by other legit massage parlours in the Al Wasl and Beach Road area. My favourite is the 2 hour massage - first hour dry thai and the second hour with oil :-))

I have been there many times and have been able to get a discrete hj out of atleast two ladies there. There are actually a couple of really cute looking girls there as well though they haven't been as forthcoming as the ones I was able to have a breakthrough with!

The sad thing is that these guys are facing some kind of a visa crisis and have actually been left with just one girl for the last few days. I am a regular there and will be able to let you guys know when they are back at full capacity.

Remember to ask about activation times. Sometimes your SIM takes 24 hours to get activated. Not a lot of fun if you're here only for 30.

There is a big Du counter (Du is alt to etisalat) at the airport. Avoid them because coverage can be quite spotty.

Hi guys,

I've been catching up on the reading and I'm very interested in getting the contact info and addresses of the earlier (and above) mentioned AMPs.

My usual thursday night's cost me around 1,000AED + taxi + drinks and I dare only to sneak guests in after 2AM (cute potential girls in neighbooring flats, don't want them to know about my mongering) which is not very practical.

There's another one that I use regularly on Al-Wasel Rd. (take Shk Zayed to AD, take right on Al Manara St., take service rd on the right, look for Saloon on the right (red door).. Ask for Mimi! Enjoy.
