I got robbed by him and his two friends at Christmas day.

Everything started out good, the music was good, quite some people and a decent number of attractive ladies.

After midnight I have had one drink too much so I dropped my glass on my way out from the toilet. Big mistake.

I was calm and said I was sorry, but even so I got brutally dragged in to a small room back side by the security guard and his two staff friends.

"You broke a glass!" he told me "and now you have to pay $20 because of that!

Once again I said I was sorry but he would not accept that for an answer and would not let me walk away.

I tried by giving him the money I had in my front pocket which was almost $10. Now remember that a glass in Cambodia costs around $1.

Then he searched all of my pockets for money and found my $20 bill in another pocket.

He took it away from me and then, after taking $20 away from me even though a glass is just $1 in Cambodia, they finally let me go.

Since I will be living here in Phnom Penh I would have been spending my money in their nightclub twice a week for a year or two, but since they could not treat me fair and had to rob me, I will Never go back there.

The first impression of Pontoon is that it is a good nightclub but no, if you make a small mistake, it's a very dodgy place, especially towards foreigners.

I visited PP for 3 days in March. Here is a quick review.

I visited the following bars:

1. Darling Darling. Nice bar with many freelancers, young girls. I was there on Monday night. Some of the girls clearly seeking for asian customers and gave me bad eye. I bought some drinks to a cutie but did not take her to my hotel since this was my first night and I was tired after travelling a long way.

2. Bars on streets 104,136. Many bars and girls but the quality of the girls was not that good IMO. Took one girl, 27 years from Sweet Lemon bar on 136 street to my hotel for LT. A picture of her boobs attached.

3. Shanghai bar. This bar has many girls and is a bit more upscale compared to the others. I played billiard with some girls but did not ask for a takeout. Quality of the girls was OK.

4. Sorya mall. Girls not so nice here, some real dogs. This place is for budget mongers, for real Spertos, who want cheap pussy and don't care for looks so much. Not my cup of tea.

5. LE Cyrcee. I visited this place on Tuesday night. Maybe 10 girls available. None of them appealed to me enough to take them into the room. I took a drink with Abby and left.

6. Pontoon. This disco was pretty good on Wednesday evening, many girls. I took a busty one to my room for ST. Picture attached.

This was my first time in Cambodia, probably the last as well. There are much better options and better looking girls in other countries in Asia.

You just willingly gave up one month's salary so easily? AND they didn't even have to call criminals to physically rob it from you? Damn, I would have at least put up a fight.

I was there Thursday evening and the goons were giving a barang a very hard time about his bill. It appeared that he had bought some drinks for a girl who in turn got some more for her friends without his consent. He was objecting to the size of the bill. Perhaps, the waitress did not clue him in though not sure. The goons were pushing him around and roughing him up as he objected vociferously to the bill. In the US, this type of pushing would be called assault. Not sure how it was resolved except he probably just paid as he was outnumbered five to one.

This place does have that vibe. Keep an eye on your things. I was sitting with a Khymer girl who had her pocketbook on the bar top and a security guy came buy and told her not to place it there.

Good and quite helpful and accurate. First, I moved hotels to a GF place directly next door from Blue Lime called Hotel Okay Boutique. Usually, a 14 story hotel with an elaborately decorated Asian style lobby is not for me. However, this place, which only opened four months ago has a lot of interesting design and archtectural features. It is designed Khymer style so lots of wood floors, interesting wood carving reliefs on walls and large rooms with stone bathtubs and wood plank floors. Also, confirmed GF as I discovered later in evening. It also has a gorgeous pool and view from top floor. Originally was quoted $50 but they knocked off $5 since I am staying three nights.

After relaxing in room away from tropical heat, I strolled the riverfront in early evening and found the Rose Bar on Street 104 listed and recommended on Lanthano's report. Lots going on in here with good music and energy and quite a few hot and friendly girls. After getting a drink at bar, I noticed quite a few hotties behind bar dressed in either black and orange or blue and black dresses. A little 42 k spinner came over and after I bought her a drink, she explained these girls were more expensive. Apparently, $100 US for LT. Sort of PP's coyote version of Bangkok.

One in particular had caught my eye earlier. Tall, thin, gorgeous, and young looking, probably around 20 yo. I pointed to her after first entering the bar but she said no and pointed to her other colleagues behind bar.

I asked the spinner now sitting on my lap why this girl was not available as I assumed she must be a BMD girl but the girl told the other girl she was expecting her period soon. Nice to know. In the Philippines, you don't find out until the actual event occurs!

My new friend was not available LT as she had a child at home but she had no problems searching for other prospects for me. However, the few that I liked also could not do LT presumably for same reason so seeing this was a dead end, I decided to try my luck at Pontoon. Upon arrival, I found out that Friday and Saturday they charge a $8 cover but a drink is included even if it's a premium such as Bacardi and coke.

Lots of girls in here as the previous evening. Most on prowl but some had dates so proceed cautiously. While sitting at bar and dance area near entrance. Thinks it's called Vibe, a girl started to chat me up. Not generally my type but attractive enough so after an hour dancing and some making out, she agreed to accompanying to my hotel. She was real careful negotiating with the tuk driver making sure I did not overpay so good sign. When we got to hotel Okay, she told front desk that she didnot have her

I thought this was not such a good sign but recalled some Siem Resp I met last week also were not carrying their identification docs so perhaps this is not unusual. The front desk made me sign a waiver assuming responsibility for girl but really no issue as she had a certain regal and classy way about her. After the standard shower, we got down to business. Very receptive to DATY, which I performed admirably for quite some time and also discovered no objection to a finger in other orifice. Good to know for future encounters. Nice sex and total GFE. She stayed for rest of night and we had a repeat in morning.

When she was in bathroom after morning romp, I dropped $50 USD on her pocketbook. No comment from her was made so all good. Think that's the standard LT price for good service here. In fact, the GFE does not get better than this.

Will I repeat? Hard to say. So many options and I leave for BKK on Monday.

I have already written what happened. No, I did not give my money away voluntarily, they had to physically rob me in that small room backside by using force. $20 is not one month salary, but $100 is for the local working class. They are the criminals, who do you mean they should have called for?

I mean, don't be stupid, they are locals and the police will always side with them and a business of operation. I'm 6 feet and 185 lbs of muscle (hit the gym 4 x a week), combat trained US veteran, most security / bouncers are wise enough to know to not f**k with me. But I was making fun of Cockteased for making a dumb post earlier in regards to what had happened to me.

As has been mentioned in several Asian threads, if there is a dispute involving a farang, rest assured the Asian guys will come at you in a group thereby eliminating any disadvantage as to their size. It will not be a fair fight.

Just remember the guy working for caterpillar in BKK, in his 40's, fit and over 200# who had a dispute with the cabbie over 2 $. The cabbie took a tire iron and hit him over the head killing him on the spot. Fights in Cambodia must be avoided at all cost. They will gang up on you and ruin your trip for good.

The thing to do if you want to take it out on the tuk tuk guy is to sit in the tuk tuk until he finds the place or runs out of gas. Better though to let him know where your place is. Having a business card of the hotel with you in a situations like that is good also.

If you wonder if a hotel is GF, ask them.

They didn't physically rob you, you let them take the money from you. Physically robbing you means holding you down and snatching it. They aren't criminals, although their actions were criminal in nature. They took exactly how much the glass you broke was worth to them. If they robbed you, they would have taken all of your money, your watch, your phone, and your shoes.

I've been in several situations like this all around the world, including the States (I don't go looking for fights, people always start with me because they see that I am Asian, so they assume I cannot pose any threat, which is their first mistake). Once you take out the first guy easily, the rest will most likely back off. In group fights, they are never coordinated enough to attack at once, it usually serves as a disadvantage. When I was deployed, to kill time, we would get into fist fights (it was a good way to build camaraderie and exercise our frustrations and rage), and sometimes we would do 3 vs 1, or if really bold, 5 vs 1. I always got my sh! T kicked in, but I became better and smarter every time. I won a 3 vs 1 fight a few times. And these guys were fully trained and at peak fitness (we lift heavy weights to kill time). I doubt most Asians can even match up. I always try to deescalate situations, but if I'm pushed to the brink, I won't hesitate. Even the big ass bouncer at Air Force bar didn't come to help the women when I was making a scene and getting physical when I was disputing the bill. I think if they are alone, with no help, they aren't going to risk it.

If the tuk tuk drivers tried to surround me over a dispute over a few dollars, I would assess the situation as being hostile and take action to defend myself. As in, knock one out and take the other one out soon after, and then scram. It's not dumb, because you really don't know what they're capable of or willing to do. I'm not going to find out! They're poor and desperate, and not very bright. Hopefully, it will make them think twice before trying to use violence or threats of violence as a means of coercion. Live by the sword, be prepared to die by it.
