Trip Report. Late October
Hi all, I recently visited Bangkok and wanted to give you an overall report. I stayed for 2 weeks and, having visited the vast majority of tourist locations already, pretty much ran it as revolving door of WGs (I had an itch that needed scratching LOL). I won't focus on every girl but I did decide to try gameplan a few major places to really see what's up and give an honest take. My daily schedule generally looked like this; Morning. Massage and relax, Lunch. Online girl, Afternoon. Massage / soapy girl, Night. Thermae. Just a note for my style, I don't really care about age too much as long as they don't look visibly wrinkled and enjoy good, passionate service; I wasn't hunting for 20 year olds who do bareback anal. Additionally, I was staying at grande centre point terminal 21 so I did a lot of outcall ordering because I wanted to enjoy the amenities and didn't want to travel around. I much preferred to stay at the pool or spa and sip on some drinks while waiting for a delivery on this trip. Online Girls.
Finding quality WGs is always hard in the early afternoon from my experience (Canada and US are good here) and Bangkok was no exception. Since most of the girls were up late the previous night, I found it hard sample new chicks or even repeats unless I set something up earlier the previous day. While I built up a few numbers from the soapies and Thermae, I took to TF and tried out some of the few escort agencies that were available. I tried out Bangkok Golden Escorts and did enjoy their girls. They have a small lineup but I can generally say that they gave some great service. I didn't feel that any of the girls were amazing stunners but they were attractive enough, spoke good english, and put in some good work. The price is higher than what you can get elsewhere, but I felt that the agency could be worth it if you are looking for a "baseline" good experience during non-peak hours. I tried a few smooci girls as well (verified ages only) and the experience was more mixed; some girls were more mechanical while others were much more engaged. The reviews on the site were not very accurate, outside of whether the girls knew english, so I wouldn't put too much stock in them. I would probably stick more with the number of good reviews to get a feel for if a girl is a proper professional or not. I didn't go to any of the random massage shops because I wasn't impressed with the early offerings.
Overall, I don't think the money spent here is worth the return, unless it's in small doses. I like getting a good baseline experience but I wouldn't make the online offerings a major part of your visit. It does have its uses though, especially for last minute booking or non-peak times. The price for BGE was 6500 baht for 2 hours (definite premium here) and smooci has the variable pricing according to girls though they generally seem to upcharge by a 1000-2000 baht for comparable service.
Soapies.
Generally after a lunch session, I would relax for a few hours and then hit a fishbowl around 5-6 for a 90 minute session. I hit up Black Caviar and really like the place so I returned a few times. The price is high but I had some great experiences. I felt that the girls were really attractive and was surprised when they gave some great service. Being that this place caters to Asians, I came in expecting an experience where you book the super hot girls for top price and they starfish you. I didn't have one of those and actually had some great time chatting and getting a passionate experience. Of my three session here, 2 were above average while 1 was just average (hot girl, very mechanical). This is definitely YMMV and a major splurge item, but there is no denying that there are some absolute stunners here in my opinion. It's worth a look though I probably wouldn't go more than once or twice unless you demand looks above everything else.
I also hit up Maria and a few other fishbowls to mixed results. The service was good overall and just felt like a "lower" (not strictly worse) tier to BC. I am limited here because I did end up choosing the conventionally attractive girls and didn't go after service queens; essentially, I was picking the girl most attractive to me which can generally lead to mixed results for the obvious reasons. English was completely hit or miss at both BC and the other fishbowls.
For Black Caviar, the prices of the girls I selected were north of 10 k Baht. I don't feel this was worth it due to my own preferences (I would want a lot longer session), but again, if you demand beautiful women as your only real requirement, this is the place to get that. I don't think I would repeat. Overall, I like fishbowls for the novelty but it's not my vibe for lots of repeat visits.
Thermae.
Disclaimer: I generally hit this place up when I visit Bangkok so I know it well. Around 9:30-10 pm, I would go to Thermae and see what was on menu. I'm not too big into the gogo bar setup so I really like a place like Thermae where I can work at my own pace by doing a lap or two, selecting a girl, and bringing her back to my place.
I have heard a lot about anti-Western bias, a preference for Asians, and meh service so I decided to check it out to see what's changed since I haven't been in Bangkok for a few years. In my opinion, I didn't see anything change. It's the same as it ever was. I'm not white nor asian and I didn't have any girls say that they wouldn't come back with me. Terminal 21 is really close (less than 5 minutes walk) and all the girls I selected were fine to walk back there. I did have a couple of girls quote 3. 5-4 k /7-8 k for ST / LT but most of them either offered 3 k /5-6 k for ST / LT or quickly accepted when I countered. I felt that there was still the same cross section of FLs that I'm used to at this place; hotties, uglies, fatties, etc. Overall, there were always at least 10+ 8/10's whenever I visited that were available. This is NOT the place to shoot the shit and linger when talking with the girls. Generally, you can have a quick conversation to gauge their vibe and get a closer look. Then you get their number, make a date, or move on. It feels like a lot of guys want to just sit and sip a beer while the girl fawns over you like a gogo, and that seems to be why you see mongers crying about this joint. From the service side, I didn't have any bad experiences but I always book LT so that may change things. I find that most of the girls are happy to kick their legs up for a short period of time to drink before getting down to business. I did have a couple of mechanical sessions and I hate fake moaning but of the 10 or so girls I sampled here, I would say 4 were amazing, 3 above average, 2 average, and 1 annoying (at first, due to immediate fake moaning).
Final thoughts.
I definitely spent more than I would by normally would by trying out some of the expensive options that I had avoided in the past but I had to know if it was worth or not. I think those types of places do have their value, but personally, I'm not at that stage yet. To me, I think I have moved past (personally and financially) cheap rub-and-tug joints that cater to dudes just looking to bust a nut and I would like to pay a slight, reasonable premium for more attractive women that provide better service. In closing, the demise of Bangkok is, once again, much ado about nothing. Old heads will always cry about the good old days, youngins will whine about having to actually try different places out, expats will whinge about tourists not spending 20 hours a day trolling the back alleys to look for "diamonds" who charge 500 baht ST, etc.
To me, Bangkok is still Bangkok; it has a variety of easily accessible price points for mongers and even provides a variety of ways to access WGs that fits your personality. For the newbie to the experienced tourist, it still remains a top spot to have a fun mongering vacation.
