To many the Ticuan is better value and if I hung out at Las Pulgas or Amnesia I would probably stay there. Someone on the board had asked where there was a good hotel real close to the action. IMHO the best hotel close to the action for me is Hacienda Del Santiago for many reasons, so I answered that post with my recommendation (which had nothing to do with "value"), which was immediately responsed with the Ticuan was a great value because the peso / dollar ratio is so good now. My post was a response to that because based upon the statement that the value was due to the peso / dollar ratio. 325 pesos is in fact better than 650 pesos.
I agree full heartedly that the Ticuan is a much nicer hotel with nicer beds and towels and everything else. But I drive into Tijuana when I go there. Sometimes from the USA and sometimes from the toll road from Mexicali. HDS has safe guarded parking and I have never had a problem there. I take many afternoon shift women from AB, HK and especially from Chicago to my hotel when they get off work and they spend a few hours or all night with me. I like to take naps in the day (as I am an old fart) and I like to make several passes through the clubs during all times of the day and night. I don't want to be taking that many taxis and I certainly don't want to walk back and forth from 8th street and the action area that many times a day (once again I am an old fart) which would probably be more dangerous than the one block walk from HDS.
Most of the rooms in HDS have kitchettes which gives me a place to keep my beer / tequila cold and a stove to light when it gets cold. Ten minutes of full burners and the room is nice and toasty and the women love it! I can sleep through anything so the noise is not an issue for me. And after spending some time in HK the "noise" outside of HDS (mostly Mariachi music) doesn't seem very loud to me. The staff at HDS have gotten to know me and they treat me pretty darn good.
Once again if I hung out at Las Pulgas or Amnesia or New Body. The Ticuan would be a better value for me.

I will return from Pattaya on the 26th, but I'm damn sure I will need an intervention by NYE. Hopefully we can meet up again and exchange stories, and the tequila will be flowing, as before! I will be Ticuan on the 29th for 3 nights, let's drink and play with the best that Tijuana has to offer!

I have read quite a few reports about the possibility of having relationships with chicas. I want to share my personal experience and thoughts.
I met a beautiful woman in Adelitas several years ago. She was absolutely stunning looking. We saw each other for about 8 years. She was the most loyal, sweetest woman I have ever met in my life. I have yet to meet an American women that can hold a candle to this woman in terms of loyalty, caring and sweetness.
Here is the reality. I couldn't stand going to see her in AB if she were working. Whenever she saw me in the bar, she would refuse to be seen with other men, showing absolute respect for me. I couldn't stand her working in AB anymore and started giving her a couple hundred dollars a week to help her with rent and her three women. This was done with the understanding that she would get a real job outside of prostitution. She went to beauty school and got a certificate to cut hair. She was extremely excited. Unfortunately, the places where she worked had little business and she made about $1. 00 per haircut totaling about $5. 00 per day. She then went to work in a factory but could only make $60. 00 per week, which obviously couldn't pay her rent, food, etc. She then went to work at Famsa, which is a well known store where people can purchase applicances, furniture, etc. On credit. Unfortunately, she worked on commission and couldn't make more thatn $40. 00 per week.
The bottom line is that she went from one job to the next, thinking that the next one would be the ticket. Unfortunately, due to the crappy economic condition of Mexico and lousy pay, etc. This girl could not make enough to live on her own. This resulted in me picking up the tab for many years. Of course this included buying her a car at about $7, 000 that broke down after about 6 months, paying hospital bills for her and her children. And the story goes on and on.
It is very difficult for Mexican women, especially such as her, without a high school diploma to get any legitimate, decent paying job in Mexico. That's just the way it is. They hire young, pretty 18 year olds to work as waitresses, in grocery stores, etc. Before they will hire any older woman. It's just a sad, pitiful reality that will never change. She was banned from coming to the US as she was deported three previous times.
So, to sum it up, I hope this gives you a good idea as to how difficult things can be if you think about having a relationship.
Hi everyone, I've visited Tijuana about 4 times in the last year. It seems like the best bang for the buck since I fly into SD and it's right there, I have never been to other parts of Mexico but would be surprised if any other areas offers the amount of talent for the prices of Tijuana. Anyhow, just a few? S for those more experienced Tijuana mongers if you wouldn't mind helping me out.
1) As the typical Tijuana sporadic visiter, I only go to HK and Adelitas. I have walked into Chicago club but never seen anything worthwhile. Occasionally I will get a Street girl if I actually see one that is Adelita / HK quality which is rare imo. Obviously Tijuana and Adelitas are the top two places, and usually have more than enough talent to keep anyone busy. But are there any other places that can compete with this duo that is off the beaten track? Not interested in Escorts that come to your hotel, but maybe a decent mp or similar establishment that offers more bang for the buck or GFE? I sometimes get flyers when I walk to the Tijuana side from San Ysidro and they look promising but I've never bothered to try anything new.
Can anyone give me a brief rundown of Las Pulgas or Amnesia or New Body? And that purple place I always see as I'm in the cab on my way back to the border?
2) I've recently gotten some dental work in Tijuana from a placed called Sam dental, read some reviews online about it and there was an american running it so I felt safe (filled 4 cavities and got teeth whitening, everything went well and saved a ton of cash) and I've wondered if anyone can recommend anything else in Tijuana (non-mongering) that I could do to waste time before hitting HK or Adelitas?
Can anyone recommend a great place to get a massage? (legit OR non legit like an mp,) that would be relaxing and a good way to kick off my mongering.
Can anyone recommend a top Seafood / Steakhouse restaurant? Price isn't important but quality of food and cleanliness, etc.
Also, if anyone can recommend any good sight seeing aspects of Tijuana that are worthwhile.

Thanks[/QUOTE]I have found that you need to get to know the gal and allow her to get to know you. I have had my best luck at Chicago Club but have also had some from AB and HK. After I have been upstairs with a gal one or two times (it depends on the chemistry) I will usually have their cell phone number. While buying a few ficha drinks I ask them to spend the night with me. I am an old fart so I usually deal with the afternoon shift gals that get off of work between 8 and 10 pm. Otherwise you will be waiting until 3, 4.5 or 6 am for them get off of work which doesn't leave much time for an overnighter. After the first overnighter has happened, I will set the rest of them up by text messaging from the USA before I go to Tijuana. It is kind of like a date.
It helps a lot that I speak, read and write fluent Spanish!
