So probably much preferred by the providers as they can sum up many ST guys in an evening, whilst the regular "local" customers are more time consuming, take their time to chose, browse around with interviews till they find their pick. So a girl might get only a couple of ST. Being the Navy guys also many hundreds, there is less wasted time in the search of "thc girl" so that their fellow sailor picks that girl up.

Seems to me much less of a buyer market, for sure.

The guys that drive up the prices. Are the business travellers. Hence HK being a financial capital.

Local residents actually drive down the prices. W / L will work out your status. Traveller or local resident. You are a business traveller they quote 2000 for S / T. Determine that you are a local resident they quote 1000 for S / T.

And in the bigger bars like Neptune, Escape the clientele is probably 70% travellers and 30% local residents.

Local guys more commonly find their service providers in bars like Makati or Forest or even pubs like Old China Hand and Queen Victoria.

Every country has meatheads. And there certainly are a good number of boorish meatheads amongst the US Navy crowd. Are they harmless when having their rowdy fun here in HK? Yes, almost entirely. Are they having fun? Yes, quite clearly. Do they spend a lot of cash? Usually yes. But are there many boorish meatheads among them? Also yes.

I read somewhere that the Indian Ocean Tsunami early warning buoy put there after Thailand was vandalized and no longer working. Go figure. I suspect it had a lot of US money behind it. They are mostly from only one branch of the armed forces. I usually make it a point to go to Wanchai during this time to watch their youthful exuberance. Instead of buying the girls drinks I usually buy a round for some of the guys that might be doing the heavy lifting. Because of their volunteering, I do not have to worry about being drafted. I drink to that.

They are mostly well behaved compared to other forces I have seen and met. In my stupidity, I have stepped in to defuse more altercations with civilians and never with these guys. But then again, I am heading back empty handed earlier than normal. (Hard to be as buff as a marine while working as a desk jockey. I think the Nullnull saw the advance recon unit)
