Thanks![/QUOTE]Guess depends on what you define as pros and ordinary girls. I see a lot of familiar faces everytime I go but all except one said they have a day job (probably taken like 20 of them). When I've asked, they don't want people to know what they do so they don't want to be on websites. Maybe some of their friends know (some of them come w / friends to work there) but most likely don't want family to know. One I've seen did work the bar scene before starting Thermae. Another lady I messaged on thaifriendly before but she didn't respond until after I picked her up from Thermae a few days later and she confirmed that was her LOL (never saw her there again so maybe one time thing for her) Some of them have decent job for thailand, telling me they making 30k a month but yea easy quick cash at Thermae. From my experience they just want some extra cash and not looking for sponsors. Could make that in a week or less lol. Non of them ever msg me while I'm not in Thailand to try to get cash from me. When i first came to TH the bar girls are pretty much all from Isaan (maybe still the case) so guess Thermae is just where the locals go earn some extra cash.

But considering this guy goes to the JW Marriot. This person obviously has more disposable income than most people here. Most people would opt for the Carlton or Landmark or even something cheaper. But this guy is at $250 per night hotels. What probably happened is the "Up to you" trap. The girl probably said, Up to you. And he threw out the 8 k number each time. But yes, actual true going rate is like 3-4 K short time. 1 K bar fine. And this is December 2024 Rainbow 5 rates.

I also find Long time kinda waste of money. Because they always either decline it or they want to bail. Best to do ST. TLDR I feel like this is a newbie with diposable cash.

One woman in her late 20's caught my eye, was rocking kind of a sexy goth Librarian look: all black clothes and hair, sexy black stiletto boots, etc, but with a full figure that I thought might be fun. Anyway, the session started off a bit slow back at the hotel, but picked up pretty quickly and successfully, and afterwards she invited me to have dinner with her. A couple of nights later we met up again for a very nice dinner at an EmQuartier spot and a FS session back at the hotel. Turns out she used to run her own restaurant in the north (Chiang Mai? Another night I took home a young woman from Isaan, who said she was a student earning money on the side. But don't they all say that? None of them will really admit, well, I used to have dreams, but now I've been whoring here at this damn cafe for the past 10 years, putting out for shitheads, LOL.

During my visit in April I took home another woman who ran her own noodle shop in the daytime, and another who worked at a hair salon.

I don't buy into the concept of 'don't pay more than I do or you'll mess it up for me'.

I've been visiting Thailand since 1980. I fly business class from London and I stay in nice hotels (but not quite as expensive as the Marriot). I know what the going rates are, but I'm not going to haggle over a few thousand baht if that's what it takes for a memorable encounter.

I hope this is the right forum for this question. A mate of mine is in BK at the moment and he wants to get a shot for gonorrhea. He isn't sure at all that he has it but doesn't want to take the risk of coming back to the UK with it.

It seems to be no problem getting the shot in BK without even testing but they all want to see a copy of his passport. My friend is worried that the next time he visits Thailand again (perhaps with family) something might get mentioned by immigration officers.

Sounds unlikely but can anyone offer any reassurance on this?

Please quote the post where someone has said this. In 20 years on this website in countless threads, I have never read someone say when advising people on prices, that the person paying more was going to mess it up for the person giving the advice.

People that have this type of info are typically not worried about another messing it up for them because they are already entrenched in a system allowing them to pay less than an infrequent or price is not a concern visitor.

If you are referring to ampicillin or amoxycillin then neither of those are effective against gonorrhea.

Chlamydia seems more prevalent than gonorrhea in Thailand. You could tell your friend to ask a pharmacist for antibiotics for these STDs and perhaps others too. There is reportedly some drug-resistant strains so multiple meds (or a shot if needed) may be advised.

I'm old but I'm free now and pondering what places to visit. I'm not a loud music & dancing fan but certainly not opposed to some partying. Ideally I would like to find some other hobbyist to hang with and learn the ropes. Your recommendations are most welcome.

Until I get fired or forced to quit from work, I won't be anywhere near Thailand soon, but you chose right spot Pete. Thailand is a fantastic place. But to avoid loud music, that means Nana and Cowboy are out for you. I always recommend the same thing to everyone, cause it's always guaranteed a good time. Try out the massage joints in the Phrom Phong area. You can't go wrong there. And just beyond Phrom Phong, as you get closer to Terminal 21, there's more massage joints to be tried. You'll run out of time before you run of out oilies and soapies to try.

Thermae is very hit or miss these days. But it's a good place to just hang out and scope the chicks out while you have a beer. No loud music either. It's kinda surreal in a way. Have fun Pete! Live your life man, don't have regrets like me. I'd give anything to go back to Thailand again, just one last time.

Check my post in the safe-sex thread. The clinic I recommended there did the test without ID, though whether they'll give the medicine without insisting on a test first I have no idea. They created a physical card for me and told me to just show that card next time I came there, so I'm guessing if I needed any medicine after the test, I'd just go back and show the same anonymous card.

Think it's the first time I've read about anyone worrying immigration will be informed about his std results though, though I know syphilis test is/was required for work permits here.
