Bangkok Reports

My first night in Bangkok was regrettable to say the least! I went to Nana Plaza first around 11 pm, maybe it's the time of the year (few days before NYE) but it was wall to wall packed! Every bar I went in to had few if any seating available and men massively outnumbered women, which put me off. I hopped over to Soi Cowboy where it was a little better. I settled at Crazy House after touring the strip where, to be fair the dancers in there are some of the most gorgeous I've seen in my 2 weeks in Thailand so far, but they saw a naive rookie a mile away and I got fleeced good (which I'll admit isn't the first time I've made this mistake!) after a few too many drinks, pent up excitement and the allure of hot topless girls in front of me, ID lost my head and became pretty easy to part with my money.

A few of the girls swarmed me when I arrived, I stuck with the one I found the hottest, easily a 9/10, drop dead gorgeous! One girly drink paid for and she was all over me, on my lap, kissing my face all over and non stop giggling, and I was caught in her web! Soon after another girl came up asking for a drink, also a 9/10 - with a banging body too, I didn't take much convincing to buy her a drink as well and she placed my hands on her awesome breasts as a thank you. Now, here's where the mistake starts, as now a gaggle of go go girls swarmed me! I now had 5 girls in front of me all asking for a drink! These drinks weren't cheap either, but feeling a bit too much bravado in the moment I caved, a shot for all, which soon extended to a drink for two of the bar staff and the massaman as well! Who was very touchy herself through the night and didn't mind copping a few gropes off me either. She offered me to bar fine the first girl I was with, who was on her 3rd drink by now, damage would be 700 bh + 4000 for the ST. Too deep now to back down at this point, and her gorgeous smile beckoning, I was quick to accept. This extended to an offer to also take the 2nd girl for a 3 some, but even in my drunken stupor 8 k was too much to part with. The drink tab however totalled just shy of 4000 bh: !

We made our way to a short time room on cowboy, which was around 300 bh. Now, I could have forgiven myself the next day for having splurged so much cash on my first night, were it not for the fact that what followed was particularly disappointing. Gone was the overly eager and excitable girl kissing my face nonstop and hopping up and down my lap for the past hour, and replaced with a mechanical starfish, oral with condom, very light kissing and little affection. We boned in a few different positions and it didn't take me long to finish in the bag. She was washed and dressed and we were out within half an hour. We exchanged lines but I didn't stay in touch. I woke up the next morning with a slight hangover and feeling like a massive mug to have spent over £200 on my first night with so little to show for it. I was too jet lagged to attempt a 2nd night in Bangkok and began to feel a little disheartened that Thailand wouldn't be the promised lands I hoped it would. However the following week in Pattaya more than made up for it, in fact it was so good I fear it may have changed my life forever trip report of Pattaya to follow shortly in the Pattaya thread.

One explanation is that non-Thai accounts (mine somehow or other got changed to Line USA) won't add Thai friends.

People who have reloaded Line (and hence lose all of their chats and contacts) state that this does not fix the problem.

Is anyone with a Thai Line account experiencing this problem? I guess I will bring a second cell phone and buy a Thai Sim card. I will get a Thai Line account and see if this work. But it would be good to know if this is a solution.[/QUOTE]It's called "privacy. " Not sure what you talking about. I downloaded my LINE away from Thailand and everything works fine. Some people just don't want their ID or phone number out there like with WhatsApp. Which shows everything and no way to hide it. So they go into their satangs and click the button. They hiding and you need to go seek. LOL.

Hi,

Doing my 4th trip to Bangkok in February. While I've been in BKK multiple times, this time I am first time alone so I can have fun freely.

Any recommendations of more comfortable hotels (maybe even luxury ones), preferably with more apartment-like rooms? Obviously guest-frienly ones. I usually like to stay in Sukhumvit and would prefer it.

Plan to re-up the sim plan and resume using it when I hit the ground in BKK again in February.

Which I've heard also has some freelancers. Are those the two main places, or are there others in that general vicinity? I know Thermae is really close. But any others that you'd suggest?

They send me their LineID because they want my business. I am quite certain the TF girls are not blocking me; why would they send me their LineID and then block me 5 minutes later?. I have started to ask for QR codes as they work without a problem, but otherwise the Line app is fairly useless. Fortunately, finding a girl for fun in BKK is like shooting fish in a barrel.

I have a thai sim and about 10-20% of the time I can't add some tf-girl by ID. I kind of suspect it is what ElMexicant says, that she has, unintentionally I guess, disabled the "add by ID" option in her line app. One can disable add by ID and disable by phone number, but not disable add by qr-code, so no matter how stupid, she can't disable add by qr.

Nevertheless I am still able to use LINE on that phone through any WiFi. Chatting, adding (with QR code), etc. Appearing, by my setting, as if I am in Pattaya. Line, nowadays, is worth as an anonymous sort of WhatsApp, nothing less, nothing more. Unless one knows the girl Line ID (or has the QR code) it's not possible to pass on the ID to others as we can do with TF.

For as many months you want. Just leave the country with 30 x12 (360 baht charge) and you have the validity extendable by one year. More charge, longer extension. Bearing in mind the phone numbers will still be xtendable for 6 months after the SIM card is ended. After that period, if not extended. The number will be unmatched to the card and will be available back to the provider for other future SIM's to sell.

It's a mix of mostly freelancers, most of them older and uglier than you'll find in the go-gos, or about the same as the lower tiers there, and some normal girls out partying in groups. I went there for the normal girls, but not many lookers in either group, and did not have any luck myself with the few normal girls I thought were pretty enough to "hello". The only two freelancers I saw during my visits that looked good enough to approach ended up both being from Vietnam and asking too much, as seems to be typical of girls from that country for some reason.

Only reason I can think of for tipping a waiter there to help you is if you're incapable of walking up to a girl, who will most likely be a freelancer and overjoyed by your approach, and saying "Hello," to her. Not like there's some secret closet that the waiter is going to be pulling the "high quality girls" out of especially for you.

Then I take a pic of this GQ code with a different phone so I have a record.

In th future I can just add the girl by using the QR code with different phones.
