I'm planning to visit Bologna. Does anyone know any good hotel in the city which is guest friendly or has some nice girls (prop or non-pro) walking about? Any suggestions would be helpful.

I visited Bologna with a friend during the last week-end of Motor Show in December 2004. I stayed one night at HOTEL DELLE DRAPPERIE located in Via delle Drapperie 5. The price was 100 € per night for a room with two single beds, but maybe prices will be not so high in other periods of the year.

As usually in Italy, at the hotel is required to give ID (identity card) and also registered signatures. No guest-friendly without ID.

If you can spend some money you can book a double room and have a good time with your pro, obviously if she wants to give at the reception her ID. A more economic possibility is to visit a pro at her own apartment; it seems in Bologna there are many, but in this case it is impossible to stay for the night.

No prostitutes are available in Italian hotels, in Italy is considered illegal to promote prostitution.

Certainly not all pros will agree to meet customers in an hotel and to give ID. I think it is even more difficult to find a woman available to stay for the night.

I don’t want to say Italy is pro-prostitutes, here we are not like in Amsterdam, Brazil or Thailand… simply also in Italy there are pros. In Italy the prostitution system is not so well organized like in other places of the world, in any case here they are!
Many of them (Italians, but also South Americans and Russians) work in their own apartments, others on streets. In the first case usually they don’t have pimps, they work for their profit. Differently, in the case of pros who work on streets (almost all foreigners, few Italians), they are usually (even if not always) enforced to do their work paying money to the pimp.

italy in my opinion is one step above the usa that is about it. Because of the laws against brothels you are stuck with street girls (good price) and apartment girls that charge 2 or 3 times as much as in germany and then give 1/2 or 1/3 the service. Most I have seen are not really attractive

I have found that there are escort and apartment girla and SW in every place in the usa i have ever been although i did not partake. It was there now there where not hundreds on the street but a few.

As I say in my previous post, in Italy prostitution system is very confused. The situation is evident reading pages of the Italian WSG section. Visited Bologna recently and noticed plenty of SW on the Viale (the beltway that goes right around the town), some of them almost good looking. Most of them were working on the inner edge of the road (the clockwise carriageway). If you're on foot there was a group of girls not far from the railway station; coming out of the centre of town, turn to your left and walk a short way around the Viale. It's a generally well-lit area felt safe enough.

despite that, the area is still good enough to deserve a visit.

the best zones are quite far from railway station.

the "viali" are clearly visible (the ring around the center).

the best part is the southern one, about from "porta san vitale" (at right in the map) to the southernmost part of viale antonio silvani (left in the map), although you can find girls on the northern viali too.

just be careful with girls in areas very close to the railway station, there is an higher chance they are drug addicts.

if you have a car, please remember that there is an ordinance of bologna major that punishes car drivers that stops their car to negotiate with sw, even if it's often not enforced.

however, keep in mind that there is also a stop prohibition all over the viali, based on the road code.

some years ago there were a lot of sw that have their own flat, nowadays there are quite few, usually amongst girls near the barracano (right-bottom corner of the map), viale antonio aldini and viale carlo piepoli (sector 3 of the map, left-bottom).

i advice you not to pay more than 100 euro at home: usually with that rate you can have anal sex too, in a 40 minutes home service (but just about 20% of girls do anal sex, in my experience).

if a girl asks you around 130-150 or more euros, is probably a tourist scam.

there are at least other two sw area, just in the outskirts of bologna (both of them are a few kilometers away from the center, so you need a car):

one is located on the eastern suburbs, along via emilia est before san lazzaro di savena.

the other (which is even farther, but is usually better and more "populated") is the last part of via emilia ponente, beyond the "tangenziale" at borgo panigale (near the ducati motorbyke factory), before the highway tollgate. in this area you can find a lot of young (and often very nice) eastern europe girls, doing services into your car (the usual 30-50 euros) or (quite often) in little hotels at few kilometers away (with rates of 50-60 plus the room, that usually costs about 35-40 euro; please asks clearly for total rates and services in hotel, i found some pronounced differences from girl to girl, maybe depending from the chosen hotel too).

there is also a little chance you can find some girl there even in daylight.

you can find many other girls rep001tered along via emilia from that bologna zone to the "cavazzona" place (some kilometers after anzola emilia and some km before castelfranco emilia), doing it into the car or in hotel.

if italy had smart prostitution laws, you could find all these girls in comfortable and safe brothels and red light disticts.

Visiting Bologna for my job last evenening after a quick pizza and gambas I wen't for the best part of the evening, I found a young modovian (Selena) on a big roundabout on the "asse attrezzato" a large road connecting downtown to the higway exit/entrance in direction Modena/Milano.

in any case, you can take the opposite direction and drive towards the centre of bologna: there are lots of girls near the big commercial center centroborgo and the ducati motorbike factory.

if you drive about 2 km, you will find some black girls (they say they are from ghana, but they are nigerians).

sometime the police sends them back to romania or moldova, but they are replaced by others very quicly.

more problems with police can be for the customers:
