I relaxed on Friday, the first day we arrived in Cotonou and focused on taking care of business. I also needed the rest. Saturday, I awoke refreshed and took in Porto Novo, the administrative capital of Benin. Later that night, I took in Cotonou night life. I toured all the night clubs and eventually settled on New York. The others were either dead, karaoke joints best suited for couples night out, or just packed full of local fellas who enjoyed smoking way too much (I could not breath in this one club I stepped inside for just a minute) and where there were way too few ladies. I also checked out this club called Century 2000. It seemed to be a gentlemen's club but I did not notice too many ladies inside so I bailed after only a precursory 30 second look about. This club though is right near another karaoke joint, a strip club, and a brothel (just a ways on the next block). I might just have to check it out although I do not generally like the brothel experience (only in Bali was it really nice). Update: I judged 2000 too soon as it does get more action much later. Also, the brothel is mostly Nigerian chicks and I couldn't get away quick enough on the moto!

New York was packed with honeys on the inside and quite a few ladies outside. I ended up linking up with a Nigerian chick who turned out to be a lousy fuck. Not satisfied, I returned to the club which had just closed and I picked up the number of a slim shady. I spied another lady and we came to an agreement. She took me to a short term place that actually reminded me of the brothels in Ghana. We did our thing although she tried to get a bit difficult in giving me what we had agreed upon. Sad thing is that I came to Benin hoping to fuck a Beninoise chick but only succeeded in fucking a Nigerian and a Togolese.

I am not certain I would visit Benin just to monger. The chicks do not look anywhere near as good as the ladies in Ghana or Togo, and they are not as keen on pleasing like the ladies in Uganda and Kenya.

I did have another stop in Cotonou and this time I revisited New York when there was less male competition. There were a lot of ladies in the club and I hooked up with a nice, light slim one that was excellent at BBBJ and even offered up BBFS. Prior to hooking up with her, I had chatted up a lady walking toward my hotel and we came to an agreement. She was Ivorian and she was so good that I bust my nut in less than 5 minutes. The Jonquet Strip runs along Rue des Cheminots. On my 1st visit, I instantly fell in lust with a hot Nigerian chick. I wanted to sit down, have a beer & chat with her. She just wanted to drag me into a ST room attached to the bar. I was offered a ST for 10000 CFA. I failed to lure her to my nearby hotel room by upping the ante to 15000 CFA. Even my generous offer of 20000 CFA couldn't convince her to play an away game. When I made it abundantly clear there was no way I would ever set foot in a ST room, she simply lost interest...

My Nigerian babe worked in [b]Playboy[/b]. Though the yellow Flag sign now says "Bar Mon Rêve S", everybody still refers to the old name. I later found out the Playboy girls are reputed to be thieves!

The biggest & best known bar on the Jonquet Strip is [b]Le Soweto[/b]. As in Playboy, the girls are mostly Nigerian, but the quality is lower. A few visits & a few beers (800 CFA for large Flag) later, I finally hooked up with a Soweto girl I fancied. The new girl was reluctant to visit my hotel, but a more experienced colleague convinced her to take the plunge (20000 CFA for 2 hours).

Pictures were part of the deal, so the photo shoot wasn't an issue. Since I'd failed to negotiate additional services, everything else (kissing, BJ) was extra. Damn! On the positive side, my Nigerian babe (21 yo, no kids) looked hot naked & enthusiastically bobbed up & down on my dick.

A Beninese girl I later met in Lomé gave me more insight into the Jonquet scene. Apparently, the girls all have Nigerian pimps/husbands. Locals pay no more than 5000 CFA for a quickie fuck (room included). She also said Jonquet was a dangerous area. While I never spotted another white guy, I felt no animosity towards white people.

The 21 Night Club is also on the Jonquet Strip. Judging by the crowds in the bars, it should be busy every day of the week. Regrettably, I never checked it out.

The open air bar outside Hall des Arts attracts plenty of customers any day of the week. Girls are either sitting at the bar, or sitting or standing in the area next to the bar, depending on whether they have money to buy a drink. LOL

Talking about drinks prices, I was charged 1000 CFA for a large Flag on my 1st visit. On a subsequent visit, a different waitress only charged me 800 CFA for the same beer. I eventually found out the local price was actually only 600 CFA. LOL

On the plus side, the overcharging waitress called a girl answering my specs (skinny, no kids) when none of the available girls appealed to me. While her face was a tad disappointing & her hair was a mess, the body looked spectacular.

Except on the weekend, I never spotted another white guy at the maquis.

I spent the weekend partying at New York! New York!, a disco with a circular dance floor fronted by a mirror, and very expensive drinks (small Flag: 3000 CFA). Beer is 10x more expensive than in the maquis right outside!

There were plenty of girls I'd never spotted at the maquis. Strangely, the club was more crowded on Friday than on Saturday. I later found out that the most happening place in Cotonou is now [b]Le Calypso[/b]. Other places mentioned by the girls were [b]Le Pacha[/b] & [b]Le Tabou[/b].

[b][u]Talent Mix[/u][/b]

Half of the girls I fucked in Cotonou were Nigerian. I also banged girls from Niger, Côte d'Ivoire & Togo. Cameroonian meat was also on the menu.

I read claims that there were no local girls working in Cotonou. One girl told me Beninese girls had a reputation for being thieves, and often lied about their nationality. I actually met 2 Beninese girls in New York. The 1st was too chubby for my taste. The other was simply gorgeous, but greedy (wanting 50000 CFA). I would have loved to add this local beauty to my collection, but when she refused pictures, the alarm bells were ringing!

I eventually fucked a Beninese girl in Lomé, Togo.

On weekdays, I always ended up at the maquis outside Hall des Arts. While I got laid, the quality wasn't always what I was aiming for. I spent the weekend at New York, which is no longer the "in" place in Cotonou.

In retrospect, I should have checked out 21 Night Club on weekdays. On the weekend, I should have visited Le Calypso. You live, you learn!

Drink mineral water as the chargers for drinks are outrageous, I remember paying a ransom for beer at New York some years back, sad to read from recent reports nothing changers, we never learn anything when the little head is doing the thinking. I recall the girls being plentiful, slim and easy as is the norm in Africa in general.

I think I stayed at the Peace and Love hotel, next to the football stadium some way from New York club. The staff were wonderful to me, remember the experience of Contonou with fondness. Getting around was only by moto as there was strangely little or no taxi service. Is this still the mode of transport today?

As I posted about Lomé, Togo, there were absolutely no redeeming features (besides people being genuine and place bruh safe).

Cotonou was much worse than Lomé. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Ugh. There are literally 1000 of places better than these two cities.

Stay away and don't waste your time and money.
