Who do you guys recommend for flight booking? Last time I flew was 2005 and used a friend who is no longer available.
Will be booking 90 days advance.

some people prefer to use travel agents for convenience & chasing prices. some of us prefer to book direct for speed & efficiency. as to what air carrier to choose, it depends on where you are flying from.
coming back & forth to australia i use singapore airlines for very competitive rates & very nice standard of service. qantas flys a direct manila to sydney service but is always more expensive & service is not quite as nice as sa. air asia is technically cheaper but involves more stuffing around with connections. standard of service is budget. tiger is available to limited areas of australia, simillar to aa.

I've got more pictures posted at ISG than you have posts and probably twice as many field reports. I've never asked for anything back except for people to follow the rules of the ISG board and (hopefully) follow the accepted rules of discussion and debate when it comes to disagreements.
I've enjoyed your sarcastic humour on many occasions (even when I was the target) and even said so just a few days ago right here on this thread. So, to say I don't have a sense of humor is a bit disingenuous. I've only challenged you after you obviously and clearly insulted me for the third time.

av[/quote]ok, i'll be flying around the first part of aug out of phoenix az, usa. probably connect thriught lax. im after best price. most if not all flights will be on a 747-400 so carrier doesnt matter so much. i'll be flying to manila. dont care -too- much about layover as long as its reasonable.

Will be booking 90 days advance.[/QUOTE]I just booked today with Cathay Pacific after checking online prices for the last few weeks. I prefer PAL because they have a direct flight everyday, but they were $450 higher. Paid about $915 with tax, departing 2 week from now from SFO.

Starting sometime in May I will be working in Macau for about 2 months. I am looking into spending some weekends in AC. When I check Tiger Airways online, I find if I book a ticket just a few days in advance the ticket is about 1300 HKD. If I book 6 weeks in advance its only 300 HKD. With my work I am never sure in advance when I will have time off.
Any suggestion for getting a cheaper fare without booking 6 weeks in advance? Can I just buy a ticket at the airport the day of my trip? Should I go through an agent? Have someone in PI buy the ticket for me?
