So if you liked a mesero that was mesero #22, the next time you go into HK he will still be mesero #22.
Out of the $9 ficha, the girls make a lot more than $ each.
I heard different ficha rates on a sliding scale, depending on how many fichas the girls sell every month. They can make from $3 to $6 each. When you buy the girl her fichas to sit and cuddle with you, the fichas are her tips. You don't need to give her more tips unless you want to.
The bar makes the most money from the fichas and the drinks. I don't speak Spanish worth a damn to really have a good conversation with the girls, but the girls know how to be fun, charming, sexy and entertaining company without speaking. There are a few very pretty young girls in HK worth buying fichas just to look at their pretty young face up close, to embrace and inhale the fragrance of their warm, soft, sexy, young bodies.

Why would I tip someone that is unappealing to me? ScatManDoo described the approach that I use.
The Hong Kong and taxi prices quoted by the Captain are optimistic. Don't expect to get your favorite HK girl for 800-1000 pesos. I've heard price quotes as much as $120 (2400 pesos), there is no reason to pay that much. More typically they will ask for $80 (1600 pesos) but you can often talk them down to about 1300 pesos ($65). Keep in mind that each girl sets her own price, hotter and younger girls do tend to be more expensive. There is also the law of supply and demand, so don't expect to get rock bottom prices when the bar is loaded with customers and is low on girls. AB does tend to be a little less money, perhaps about what the captain suggests.

I said, "If good-looking girls approach you to sell fichas. " emphasis on "good looking. " If I decline I would usually give them 1 or 2 $ into their bras or panties, kiss their pretty faces and let them go hunt other soft suckers.
If approached by old, ugly girls with droopy boobs and saggy asses, I would just shake my head lightly and they would scoot. If they and the hungry meseros persist, I would just say "No mas dineros," and they would leave fast to corral other suckers. I would do that to encourage the good-looking girls to go to work in HK and the ugly ones to stay home and make babies. Once you decline a girl, she would know to never approach you again. But always be gentle with the girls, as they have feelings too, and they work hard to provide for their families.
HK's top-tiered girls would fuck locals for mil. Don't see any reason why the bros cannot get that same rate. The bros should insist on and hold that rate, or pretty soon our hot, wet, pink, tight little paradise will go to shit.

Ficha translates to record or token. Girls don't sell beers or tokens, but I guess in the case of the play boy club they get sticky notes per beer which they probably cash in for kick backs. I've seen waiters sell food, beer and VIP cards but I've never seen tokens.

"Fichas" or ficha drinks get their name from the paper tokens given to the chica when she gets you to buy her an overpriced drink in bar. She collects those paper tokens during her workday in the bar and turns them in at the end of her shift to the bar in exchange for pesos. These tokens are only given to chicas by the meseros when costly ficha drinks are purchased for her.
Waiters sell food or drinks or advice or deliver chicas for you, but do not use a ficha system for the mesero's compensation. Instead meseros get only tips (and usually a mark-up on items they procure from outside the bar, like food items).

After the mesero brings the drink to the girl, he will write their name on a small ticket and give it to the girl. At the end of the shift, the girl can cash in each ticket for a whopping 34 pesos.

Similar to the French word fiche, where we got the word microfiche back in the olden days.
So, the girls do, indeed, get a "ficha," or "record card," each time they sell a drink.

But the fine is not much more than one arriba for the girls; so some could care less about the fine.
