Another advantage the termas have is that I can do my sinning from noon to late evening. I usually get up around 9AM to hit the beach / workout so staying up 'til 3AM trying to get laid doesn't do it for me.

I understand your feelings about seeing other guys in various stages of undress. It is particularly disturbing when gays (er, I mean GUYS) run around with just a towel around their waist. I guess it is a Brasileiro thing cause I don't think I've ever seen a gringo do that. I just ignore the dudes in general and concentrate on the dames. And I do love to see women half naked. Even better in the FKKs of Europe when the gals are practically in their birthday suits. It's nice to see a woman in a hot dress but sometimes they can hide things under all that flashy glitter. If I had my own bible that would definitely be a commandment: "Thou dames shall not false advertise thou hotness of thy flesh!".

BTW. Yeh, I spent a bit of time in Sampa also. Wanted to go back to Curitiba but travel plans didn't pan out.

ALL BIG CONTRACTS & ESPECIALLY SUPPLY have performance clauses. At the blue colar worker level its do as in Rome (but we actually session) Management, having a "PUBLIC" GDP Monger rep with an inability to control your workers will get you Black Balled from future jobs. They bring in outside contractors not for simple labor but for Project management strength (P. O. C.) & experience of intelectual / technology not in Country. Labor is the last thing they need and will quickly remove hendrences to on time delivery and quality.

Generally the big Debauchery scene is saved for the end of contract celebration. Hower, the sales reps live in a continual hedonistic frenzy as they have the expense accounts and all they have to show inorder to justify the expense is a signed supply agreement.

Guys would put up with months or even years of hell to have their couple weeks of shore leave and the chance to get at the native women.

[/QUOTE]It depends which terma. At Centaurus most girls have pretty good command of English. L'uomo has several, as do other termas in the Copa / Ipanema area. Centro: a lot of the girls know only a few words of English. Privates: Pretty much nobody. The escorts on riosexsite_dot_net (replace the _dot_ with a period in your browser; the forum software does not let me write this correctly.) list if they speak English. Places like Balcony: no problem.

BUt I have been coming to Rio for a couple of decades and do not speak porto. Doesn't matter. I don't come to Rio for meaningful conversations, I come for sex. The girls all understand that. And if you have a garota's tongue in your mouth, it's kinda hard to talk anyway. Smiling, laughing, kissing, touching get you much further than the most finely crafted sentence in Portuguese.

Regarding your side note: I find Sampa in general much less conducive to mongering. My advice would be to stick with Rio. Read some of the reports of distinction and follow what those people do, and you will have a great time.
