Boca back then
How long was did Boca Chica have its run? BC I heard it used to be the place, but now its a ghost town the last time I was there.
What made bc go down?
I have a friend (older guy, retired lawyer)who now resides in puerto plata, who i sent an e-mail asking about Boca Chica back in the days.He tells stories about Boca in the 90's.
He stated several reasons for the decline;
(1)Three prostitutes were murdered by two Puerto Rican guys and two Dominicans.
(2) Police were arresting women who were walking the streets sola late at night.
(3)Boca chica was getting darker(women).
(4)Political pressure from Santo Domingo about an open air sex market.
(5)Juan Dolio's emergence as a destination.
He also said that at one time Boca was full of Italian and German mongerers and everything was cool. Then the Americans started coming. He didnt know if American mongers were the cause of the down fall.
Could this happen to Sosua?
In my opinion"yes".
Will it happen"no".
If Sosua had three prostitutes murdered, police harrassment of prostitues, and political pressure, kiss Sosua as we know it goodbye.Or on a lesser note if Classicos, latinos, and merengue shut down,Sosua woud be reduced to walk up bars at night, could it survive?
Luckily the Italian and Dominican club owners are all politically connected.Plus Sosua has a nice beach compared to that so called beach in Boca.Sosua can always use its beach as a drawing point.
Chief Justice hope this answers your question.I just hope in ten years that the Sosua board doesnt look like the Boca board does now (empty). And that people arent asking"what happened".
As I suspected but held back with it's as much a macho and attention grabbing thing as an enjoyment activity.
I dont concur, but we can agree to disagree.Riding is not about "showing off" to me.It's about feeling free.On an open road on a beautiful day is something only a real rider appreciates.
Also dont feel you have to 'hold back" your responses to any of my posts.I'm an open minded guy who values other peoples opinions, even when it goes against what i think.I consider Bq ribs a friend, but he doesnt hesitate to say when he has a different opinion than me.I'm about gaining knowledge, and the best way to do this is to register other peoples opinions.

Terra linda
Does anyone know if Terra linda allows two chica in your room?
There has been lots of writing here about traveling the road from Sosua to Caberette, then back, the dangers and advice etc.
Conversations with moto guys some years ago made me aware of a popular dirt road between the places. The guys tell me the locals usually use that dirt road between the towns instead of the main highway.
I have never been on the said road but thought people should know about it and maybe somebody can report on it sometime. On the Sosua side it begins just east of the Playa Chiquita Casino.
There is a dirt road that starts at the end of Clisante, but it will be a very bumpy ride, but very very fun with an ATV or dirt bike.
There is a dirt road that starts at the end of Clisante, but it will be a very bumpy ride, but very very fun with an ATV or dirt bike.
I have taken Clisante east, it ends about three minutes after you see the sign for playa chiquita casino, there is a gravelly road where it ends, you can go left or right, if you go right the road ends after about a 1/4 mile. There are some nice homes that sit on the water there. If you go towards the left, near there is an abandoned AMHSA Hotel there, the same company that owns the casa marina. I doubt there is a a dirt road on the north side (beach side) of the main road that goes to cabarete. That road would have to go through Sea Horse Ranch as well as through the Viva Wyndham Hotel that is closer to cabarete.

Negative, take your happy hour to Coco or Calypso, or make friends with another guest to check in chica number two!

Yes you can, but you have to tip the security guard 500 pesos and they have to enter and leave seperately because there are security cameras everywhere.
Also, one very important note. TL does NOT call you to verify that everything is ok when the chica is leaving!! So keep that in mind when you bring a girl back there, if you are in the shower, she could walk out with your valuables and security will not stop her or call you.

I have been reading for years that Russians were buying property in Sosua. I have not been in Sosua for a few years, have you seen a greater number of Russians in your recent visits?
Sea Horse ranch has their webpage available in Russian.

Price Structure
I only have 5 trips to Sosua but have never paid more than 2500 for TLN.
ST rates are 1000-1500, TLN rates are 1500-2000. This said, there is also an investment in time screening the girl over a beer or two, a little conversation, etc.
I do not like alot of negotiations as it ruins it for me so I will just pass on the girl if she is too business-like. There will be another one to replace her in minutes.
The basis for my price is that I pay my favorita 2000 pesos (+200 pesos for the bus) and she comes from Santiago and stays with me for 24 hours+.
I rented this bike for $80 a day for 4 days in jan 2009, I went back jan 2010 vendor in front of terra lind hotel was asking $240 for a day, he must be nuts.
When I read the $80/day I thought YOU were nuts. That is more than you pay for your hotel. That is $2400/month. My mortgage is not that much. You can buy a bike for that. In Thailand you can rent the whole month for $80. Que rip-off La Republica Dominicana!
I went to the massage spot directly across the street from my hotel (Sea Breeze) and I got just that, a fucking massage!!! I paid 500 pesos for the hour massage with a french speaking girl named Janet. It was very difficult to communicate because she only spoke a few words of spanish and no english.
But after she did my legs and feet for the 4th time I started to think "Ok honey, when does the BJ start? Everytime I pulled the towel down to expose myself, she would readjust the towel to cover me back up!!! Apparently, I went to the only legitimate massage parlor in all of fucking sosua!!!!
Sorry for the rant, but I just wasted 500 pesos on a massage that I could have had at home for free.

Ummm don't you negotiate the taxi price and destination in DR?
Better luck next time, ask for punk'in head @ Salon Figaro on Calle Ayuntimiento next trip. Tell her I sent you. She'll suck every last drop a jizz outa you and give you quick neck rub without any hastle. An RD100 Peso tip makes her happy!
Either this is some real funny shit or I'm hi off this vitamin v.

Sea Horse ranch has their webpage available in Russian.
I've seen big Russian planes at Puerto Plata airport, but I never see Russians,go figure.I've heard they have money invested in Cabarette.
One stay at Europa hotel their was a Russian mother and two daughters that owned a condo on the top floor. I was in the Jacuzzi with my date, and these two little Russian girls started playing with my date in the Jacuzzi. I got out of the Jacuzzi to take in this spectacle, plus I didn't want to get accused of anything crazy.
Not many people of color in Russia, but these girls didnt see color as an obstacle.Later I saw them playing with the Haitian children.Truly amazing shit.
Russian money could play into sosuas future, we will see.

I am told about 10% of Sea Horse Ranch is occupied by Russians (which description no doubt includes all East European peoples). Russians mainly keep to themselves in upmarket venues (although often seen in the Casino) but one sees increasing use of cyrillic script in hoardings and notices in the area with some realtors, insurance companies, etc, exclusively aimed at Russian speakers.
