If you walk nowadays at 22:00 along Rue Independence in Tana downtown, there hundreds of girls in all shapes will offer their services. You will not know the value of their services beforehand. But you can observe a limited demand. As vaza you may even be the only one searching. That gives you room to set your price and stick to it.

On this particular place I did observe guys cruising in their cars and offering girls 40 k. I did learn later from a girl that one of them gets just a BJ in the car whereas the other guy drives around. As a vaza walking and asking the streetwalkers to come to your hotel, the rate asked will be 100 k. A friend of mine did not negotiate and just took the girl back to the hotel.

I myself was offering 40 k as I overheard by the locals, and the young spinner girl was initially hesitant but finally agreed to come along. In the room it was clarified that it is the price for a ST. Once she dropped her dress and an awesome body was underneath, I offered 60 k for an all night stay and she happy obliged. The service during the night was over initial expectation and with another 10 k tip she happily left after breakfast next morning.

My friend, who had accepted 100 k initially was disappointed to see what was under her dress when undressing and let her go after one shot of mediocre fucking.

As a buyer you shall be firm in paying what you feel deserves the price your girl is asking for services rendered after you got the services. A quick agreement before any action to pay 100 or even 200 k will not allow you to add on. This bad habit takes place more and more in Tana and NosyBe. Stick as starting fee to 40 k. Many will accept.

A waitress works 6 days 11 hours. She gets around 60 Euros a month. The Beer is 1.5 Euros and nice meal is 6 Euros.

No way a malagasy girl will eat alone a 60 K ariary skewers at Zeburger Nosy Be, or at Buffet du Jardin in Tana.

No way she will sleep alone at hotel Pousse Pousse for 150 k / night.

That's what most holidays guys don't understand (and will probably never), by saying "cmon guys, don't fuck for the price of a skewer, give them more'. They don't get that they landed on another planet, and that the place where they ate it is totally overpriced by local standards. The only times the girls eat there is with them. There is a dark place just besides the little shop and Taxi Be at Nosy Be where you can see the girls sitting and eating fish on a stool. Nobody notice this place. It costs them 3 k to eat.

Where they live (a room with no water and no toilets) is around 50 k / month. Whether you give them money or not. Nothing will change, whether you are in Mada or France or US. Unless you marry them and bring them home, but that's another story.

But I refrain myself to do so, for 2 reasons: I'm more than happy with what I get for 50 k / night, and I try to leave a minimal fingerprint when I travel, by adapting to local standards.

The only times I went crazy was with a singer / model (real one.) who undoubtly deserved diners at La Varangue, and holidays at Kite Paradise (Sakalava) and Mazava Loha (Emerald sea).

I plan to go to Tana, Nosy Be and Ste Marie in April / May.

It is due to internal affairs, not much to do with the vahazas anyway. The upper class has got it, rich in cash and they look therefor down on many vahazas too.

Treat the poor people fair and they will appreciate, hence many poor can not handle money either.

It is not that easy black and white game, it is why moste expats do not give anything to the poor people. With good reasons!

It will be interesting to see what you think of it. I went a few years ago and it's a nice place but boring as hell.
