No posts for over a week. Is the bar scene and rain that bad?

OK, guys this is going to be a long one so bear with me.

So, I've been in Phnom Penh for quite a while and I've checked out most of the main spots for P4 P (Sorya after night, Cycree, 136 street, 51 street, Pontoon and HOD), so it's suffice to say my upcoming review holds weight.

So I'll begin. Phnom Penh is not what you think of as SEA P4 P (I. E. Bangkok, Manila, Angeles City, Pattaya, Kuala Lumpur etc). I've made this statement before, but I feel I must really stress this time around.

First things first. You get what you pay for. Like I said, I'm a younger guy so I have quite a bit of stamina, I'm not trying to sound pretentious, but "down there" I'm very well endowed (what's 24 cm in inches? I know it's dumb to measure but I had an experience where a former GF of mine felt she had to measure, go figure). Again, I'm sub 30's and my stamina and hormones have me like a wild dog. Being from a western country with high speed internet, I discovered porn early and have always wanted to experiment. So I find myself in Phnom Penh (PP) but with the local talent really lacking.

Let's go. So PP isn't like neighboring countries for P4P. I feel this is the case because other neighboring countries have already built up a rep as being P4P havens. Belief / Perceptions die slowly.

My biggest problem with PP is the lack of selection. You will not find anywhere in PP that will rival Soi Cowboy or Sukhumvit Road. My time in Bangkok mainly featured SWs and Freelancers and I had a blast (not to say I didn't try the bars as well). In Bangkok, not only did I find a large number of Thai women, but I also had Africans, a few eastern Europeans and other SEAn women.

The lack of selection in PP can make it tough to get a good variety. Again, I've been up-charged by ladies because they feel I'm going to "hurt" them.

In addition to the limited selection is the issue of sometimes spotty service. You have to do your do diligence before taking out a lady. Playfully ask what is on the menu I. E. 'yum-yum', how much time etc.

Bar girls here are not a 100% guarantee like in Bangkok. If she doesn't want to come with you then she won't go with you. PP is a lot more toned down when it comes to P4 P. Some people may actually prefer that over the "in your face" atmosphere of Bangkok and Angels City. Different strokes for different blokes. Only place I can really think of that may be in your face is Cycree bar, which I will say probably has the best selection of girls in one area willing to go for ST or LT. There are so many girls that you have to take your time and sift through the initial ones that rush you before you make your selection (s) (also, best place for threesomes, 4 somes, I. E. I've had great times in Cycree but my last adventure there had the girl I took very angry because she felt I couldn't come fast enough for her. In regards to my experiences elsewhere (Bangkok, KL) the ladies seem to be better 'seasoned' so they've experienced different guys on the spectrum. No hard evidence of this other than my observations of Bangkok and KL being more of a cosmo city than PP.

I remember when I was in Bangkok and a guy at a bar told me (and I quote) "If you need a girl that can handle 'heavy artillery' you're going to want to try an African girl or eastern european". P4P Wisdom at its finest.

So all in all, I would say PP is a solid 6/10 in the P4 P market for a younger guy in his sexual prime. PP will get the job done, you'll have good stories, but it lacks that 'WOW' factor. The ladies I've encountered really aren't the best looking, and other than the very good prices the service has been decent at best, caveat my threesome at Cycree a few weeks back. So young fellas, my advice to you, don't come here with super high expectations. It's best to come and go with the flow, check out all the main spots and find which ones you like the best. Definitely check out Cycree bar, you won't be disappointed. Again these are my observations and experiences. You may have different. Enjoy and safe hunting.

I just got back from the Soul Golden City Hotel. Fishbowl 5th floor. It seems better than a year ago when I went. There must have been about 45 women in the room. I paid $7 for the room and got the girl down to $50. Well worth it. The rooms are clean. Just perfect, but lacking a hot water shower. I think it is the best place in town.

With the day prior behind me, it was time to grab a bus to Phnom Penh. One missed bus and one made one later, I get to Phnom Penh around 10:30 pm. Prior research showed that there wasn't much in PP for me except the promise of not having to do all 12 hours of SR-HCMC at once, so I shower, change clothes, and head out to Pontoon around midnight. The club is pretty active, and after a little bit of floating around, I grab a table in the back. I'the have to concur with the overall opinion that PP isn't the best destination for mongering at all. Thirty or forty minutes go by in Pontoon, and my objective switches from "finding Ms. Right" to "finding a girl who's going to take all the dick" right before running into the girl for the night. 5-6/10 looks wise to be honest, but she's got a bit of ass to here, and at least gives of the illusion of having tits. Fast-forward to the Riverside Suites, and she gets to work after a quick shower. Good BBBJ, and I have her switch to doggy after a few minutes. Of course with my luck, she's "touching" and all the other bullshit about it being too big; she gets actively frustrated and tries to switch to finishing me off via HJ, but that's not in the cards at $35 and a $5 tip. I throw the old 'gal into Missionary, have her finish me off with her mouth and hand, and answer her "I go now?" with an opening of the door.

I was actually pretty surprised to find out how disappointing Pontoon was; a lot of people described it in fonder tone, and it was admittedly a Sunday, but I'll probably pass on PP in the future for mongering / in general; Patts is closer to SR, and there are better options in VN, so it really only serves as an in-between for yours truly.

Woke up, paid $85 to get my VN visa in an hour or two, did some touristy shit, got a Mekong Express VIP HiAce, and got the fuck out of PP. Good riddance to a skippable destination.

In a few years PP will either be a nice place for mongering, or pretty skippable. I wish you had tried Cycree, but you are right, PP can be tough. Definitely going to be waiting on your review of VN, I'm planning a trip there in a few weeks. By the way, what company did you use to get your visa so quickly.

Its getting lots of new bars and other businesses and has a much nicer vibe than its neighbour Street 136. Anyhow, headed for Angy Birds Bar but got waylaid by a new bar called Honeypot Bar and had a great night.

Seems that Honeypot is owned by the same guys who run Angry Birds and Loco Bar in the same street. Anyhow enough on the real estate (– but Honeypot had some very sexy girls – way better than most other bars around and more like what you would see in years past. Good vibe, good music, nice owner who was happy to chat and good prices – standard bar fine. No rip offs or diluted drinks etc. Definitley on my return list!!

Yeah in my opinion definitely a range of nicer looking girls at Honeypot. But of course it's not the same as Cyrcee where you walk in and can take a girl across the street in 5 minutes. Definitely pays to spend a little time talking to a girl you like at Honeypot. You will get great service if you make a little connection.

But don't hesitate to ask the western owner who is there every night. He will steer you towards the right girl if you tell him what you are looking for. I think having western owners in the bar ever night is why Honeypot is a good place to wash up after wading through the water!! And surely no one could be as miserable as the Cyrcee guy. !!

Rose Bar: There are some really cute girls there. Some of them moved from 136 Bar, 69 etc. From street 136. Vibe is also good, but it won't be a cheap evening for you.

Cyrcee: It is a come-choose-go-fuck place. Very willing girls but do not expect that someone will fall in love with you -.

Angry Birds: Nice girls but the stunners not really willing to go. At least not with me. Honeypot: Not tried yet but heard some good stories.

Darlign Darling: Definitely on the higher price level but lots of girls. And compared to the western part of the world still cheap.

Pontoon: Good to party, you will always find someone. And if not you can hit G-Pub.

I have had many good times in street 136 followed by Pontoon.

And nowadays I do not pay more than 100 USD for almost a week with always the same girl. She likes me and vice versa. We even fucked in her private room. Which she is sharing with her friend which is just 3 minutes walk from Pontoon.

Card Boy has nailed it pretty much.

Street 104 - Rose has the most girls but there are stunners to be had in the other bars from time to time. Since the street is packed with bars, it doesn't hurt to wander in and have a look at a few.

Riverside. As per my report below I strongly suggest Street 130 over Street 136. Honeypot had some superb girls there last week and Angry Birds and Loco can also be fun. Having western owners on site each night makes a big difference to the way the bar runs in IMHO.

Cyrcee. Yes -naughty girls available immediately. But don't expect much connection. In and out of the hotel across the road in 30 minutes guaranteed!!

Pontoon. Doesn't get going until 12 midnight. Grab spot at the corner of the bar on the front and you'll find who is available very fast. Can be a lot of crazy girls though whose behaviour back at the hotel can be erratic (change the agreement, go home early - baby sick etc). You need to be prepared to walk away or tell her to leave if it goes bad. I find Pontoon very hit and miss to be honest. However, if you are out late you will end up there or the little club nearby G-Pub. Worth sitting at the Sorya Mall tables and watching the circus pass by before you go to Pontoon for the loud rap and dance music. Other more upmarket nightclubs are available if you wish (Pontoon would never be described as up market!)

Darling Darling. Never taken a girl from there. Bang for your buck and all that. Just not going to pay $100 in PP!

No to be honest it was only an impression I had after seeing the guy from Angry Bird in Honeypot. Might have just been checking out the new place. Whatever I think western owners on site make a difference.

Both very good bars. I don't know Honeypot, but I check it out when I come back to Phnom Penh next month.
