I am very happy to have gotten rid of my SLR. If you don't travel with organized tours or a la carte an SLR makes no sense in these countries. I've lost so many cool shots since I bought my SLR camera. No more.

I chose to go with the Panasonic Lumix because of the wide angle function and the officlal LEICA Lens. Plus even a little cheaper. Takes crystal clear pictures and HD video at 12mp. The fast 2. 0 lens makes it great for indoor shots without flash (dimly lit chica bars, anyone?).

However, it is almost $400 and I would HATE if anything happened to it. The Panasonic FH20 I travel with is only $139 on Amazon, has a decent lens, and its Intelligent Auto actually knows what it is doing. Also an 8x zoom for some tricky situations.

If after all these years of travel I finally get mugged in Bogota, they will not get much from me. The camera, a 3-year-old Skagen worth $50 at time of purchase, and an old wallet with 200K cash at most.

Yeah, after Botero park with the camera it didn't come out again so no worries about that.

Visited Atenea and great line-up 8 chicas but it was just for recon. Sexy salas had one chunky chick. Back to New Life which had good options. Took Karin and it was sterile but thats kinda the way I prefer it. My friend had a wild chick that he had alot of fun with. 35k girl. 3k water.

Friend's spanish blows too but it's better than my nada. Got a PM that says he rate is still 50k so it looks like I got taken. That blows too. Going to stick to the nicer clubs instead.

Weather is sunny until 2- then splooge again.

Wednesday nights apparently B-Lounge is the happening (normal) club. Packed and good music. 20k cover and hottest chicks but this is a normal club.

Parque LLeras had cuties just sitting around but I didn't try for it cause I was already with a tourist chick and I have no Spanish skills anyway.

In the end I find that picking up regular girls is easy enough as tourists chicks are good for fun, and if your spanish is good then local chicks are fun. Going to move on soon to scout out other parts of the country.

[/QUOTE]I'm not really an avid photographer, but I have a dislike for poor cell phone pics and low quality snapshots, especially when a potentially great view of a cute chica is wasted. A bad result of a nice view, fuzzy, too dark or too light, was all too common for me. So about a year ago I bought a Canon Powershot S90 to replace my older Powershot A560. I just checked out the S95, it looks to me like the S90 is just a slightly lesser model.

Anyway, this S90 takes fantastic pictures, much clearer pictures than the older and lesser quality A560, especially under low light. The downsides are the S90 is a bit large and heavy for a point and shoot, and the quality comes at a price tag compared to the average PAS. But that price is still less than even the most basic SLR while producing very near SLR quality pics as far as I can tell, with little fuss and inconvenience.

Based on the quality of my recent photos, for my purposes I don't see myself ever bothering with an SLR. This camera will be more than satisfactory to me until it breaks down or is stolen.

Of course every once in a while you can choose bad and catch a dud, but it's only a waste of 20k pesos, the difference between an hour vs a half if she's not a keeper.

I've known the manager of New Life for years and when I find a sweetie there, I tell him 'tiempo libre' and just pay for whatever time I stay with the chica. And at times, it's been a few hours.

When ever I ask the local is a place dangerous they say yes or no but, always say NOT to attract too much attention to yourself. If that guy gave you a price that was more then is charged to the locals then his can see that your a mark gringo. With money. Warning light should have went off. I have a friend that is curious in doing this (maybe she has some experience before)

I said $200=400 mil COP for an night at an espectaculo, romantic dinner and then sex all night.

With several clientes a months she could get started paying her bills, py the childrens fee at the expensive private s.

$200 X 20 per months= $4000. That is 10 times more that my friend makes resposible for an small, but, tasty, restuarant.

I will give her the offer and hope that you gay can help me out with some tip, where she can make money in an 1st claess environment.
