I read about a new club called Beliza and few others such as C2, Jets Studio and Rock Cambodia, etc. Anyplace worth visiting or sticking to Darling Darling is a better bet. Hi Illusion Heart.

G-pub is in Sorya Mall on Street 51 - its on the far left side as you go in or else get to it from around the back of the moto parking area behind Pontoon. It's very small and effectively backs onto Pontoon. Gets going late (I have only been there after 2 or 3 am) but has a good vibe usually and gets plenty of bar girls done for the night, groups and pontoon refugees.

The more upmarket nightclubs I go to are Epic (over hear the Russian Embassy) and Nova on Street 214 (which is a bit closer to Pontoon. Very occasionally St Tropez. Epic is owned by the same people as own Pontoon I believe. Both are dance clubs frequented by the richer end of PP society but I have had a good time in both and met girls easily at both. Mixture of expats and Khmer. Don't turn up in shorts and flip flops. Broadly they try to maintain a dress standard because I suspect the Khmer elite don't like partying with backpackers (But it's not as strict as say a London club.

Beer gardens are all over. I know those around Toul Kork (TK) best (I have always been the only barang there) but not specifically those at the bridge that you mentioned Basically when you enter, there are usually a large number of well dressed young Khmer hostesses at the entrance. And they will join you to eat and drink. But it's then up to you to propose and seal a deal for anything else. In my experience these girls are less likely to speak adequate english to understand that you want to take them home and some may just not do it. So you need to find one who does speak english. Or manage in basic Khmer. This is the problem you will face there. Nonetheless I have had some great long time girls from beer gardens at TK but if you have limited time and language skills then it's a low percentage game. Bars like those I have mentioned in the previous post are a better starting point I suspect. It may be different at the beer gardens you mention but I would doubt it. Somebody correct me if there is better info. Many of the KTV clubs operate similarly.

You should just be a little cautious when you are at places where the Khmer elite are partying or better class beer gardens. Can usually tell from the number of Range Rovers or Prados parked out front. Don't get tanked and offend people or you might run into problems. Many of these elite types do have bodyguards That is not to say don't go, but just be aware.

While clubs is a familiar environment wherever I go I was slightly curious about the Beergarden MO in Cambodia. I have never really taken fancy for KTVs but with what I have read I wouldn't mind checking one in PP or SR.

My MO is to always fly under the radar. I don't intend to and am very careful to avoid encroaching on local turf be it anywhere. Absolutely no point engaging with a person whos drunk or bruising anyone's ego when it comes to partying and women.

Other more upmarket nightclubs are available if you wish (Pontoon would never be described as up market!)

Doing something here and posting it for the world to see can easily be a death sentence. Not for you, just for the bar.

Landed in PP around 2. 45 pm from Singapore. It took approximately 10 minutes from the time I started filling in my VOA form till I got my passport stamped with the VISA. Super smooth and extremely efficient. Maybe the Thai immigration guys needs to learn something from Khmer men. Bought a $5 Smart Sim card 4 G for 7 days 3 GB. I was booked in "Amanjaya Pancam" for 6 nights. Thanks to Nattys recommendation place was every bit to my expectation. Taxi was flat $12 from airport, took 45 minutes till I checken into the room. Extremely good location with a nice Riverview balcony. I had paid approx. $100 per night for a Junior Suite with breakfast included.

Rested for a while and dropped txt to Uncle Volodya (UV) as I had connected with him earlier from Singapore. Rested for a while and met up with UV around 7 pm at Happy Pizza, we both got some food and decided on the plan for the night. We decided to visit hostess bars on street (St) 104. UV had arrived a night earlier and had scanned some bars on St 136 and 130 while getting lay of the land. He went to freshen up and we got back together after 30 minutes. As we were walking towards 104 we diverted in St 136 as UV wanted to take a look inside Oasis bar. Nothing interesting we moved on. Reached St 104, plan was to check Rose bar first, we got in. Place was slightly empty. We got ourselves seated and were immediately surrounded by girls. Usual pleasantries followed. UV got one seated beside him. As you walk in you are guided to a room from where you can see the fishbowl through a glass door. There were approx. 20 girls. Mamasan highlighted the Viets in Blue dress and Khmer in Pink. We were expecting some good looking Viets but there were only a few and matured ones present instead. I saw Khmer girls and found one to my liking. Paid the $10 charge. We hung around for some time and then hit Darlin Darlin (DD). Reminded me of my first visit to Brix or Spasso. However there is no entry charge in DD. We got in and found a table sans bottle service. There weren't many girls. We were seated in the last row of tables and had the VIP enclosures to our right and passage / bar to our left. The VIP enclosures seem to be filled with Chinese men. Two girls were seated beside us and got talking to us. One came over and chatted to me. Didn't find them quite interesting. We also took break from them and moved around to spot available talent. We had come in from the casino side. However there is also a direct entrance from the road which bypasses the entry to casino and straight inside DD. Few girls were seated here. They also took turns one by one to stroll around and identify potential customers. One of the girl, slim gazelle spoke to the girls seated with us and caught my attention. I asked them if she could join us. They spoke to her in Khmer and she walked away. One of the girls told me that she would charge $30 for 1 hour and $50 for 2 or 3 hours to join me for drinks. This was new and I was going to pay a girl to fuck and not just drink with me. I thought geishas existed only in Japan but it seems that this companion concept is now increasing. I am exposed enough to this concept alternately referred to as BMD (Buy me Drink) in Singapore. It was evident that target segment for these girls are mainly the Chinese groups who like to party after their winnings / loss at the Casino.

I recalled my earlier conversation with Nita who had told me that there is another Disco called "F Club" on the upper floors inside the casino. UV and I decided to take a break from the girls with us as neither of us were interested in either. UV had however initially probed wherein one of the girl had quoted $150 but could be negotiated to do LT for $120 if I remember correctly. We walked over to the bar and settled our tab. To our surprise the girls had told the waiter to bill us their drinks as well. We were surprised but paid the same and moved on. It took some walking around on the first floor to locate the disco. We got in and immediately realized that we were not welcome. There were groups of Chinese men seated all around. A pimp was parading all girls in front of the groups. Girls looked Chinese as well. We got ourselves a drink and looked around but didn't see any scope for even talking with a girl as they were being moved around in herds by the pimp. We finished our drink as fast as we could and got back to DD.

Crowd had built up in DD by then. Place had more girls now near the bar counter. We engaged with few. One quoted 200 for ST, other one quoted 150 for ST and they wouldn't budge. UV didn't click with anyone either so we decided to go back to St 136. I had planned to BF Srey and UV would take Nita. We got ourselves seated and the girls came smiling back to us.
