I had multiple sessions at Barra most recently in mid December. Standard rate seems to be 130 k mill for 30-45 minutes. Drinks are much more expensive than Conejitas but it does seem that you were ripped off.

Like JTK, the last I was in there I paid 80 k. The waiter told you correctly. You have to ask the girl because each girl makes her own price. That is why I have? When people come reporting that the price is a particular thing. You negotiate the price with each individual girl. There is no set price. One thing I can bet is that Colombians are not paying 250 and 330.

The 180 days per calendar year does reset on Jan 1 but not if you are already here before January 1st. You need to leave and then come back in that case. I have also noticed that the 90 day extension (permanencia para prorrogar or whatever it's called) is only required if you stay past 90 days on any one trip such as a whole 180 day block, but if you stay 90 days then leave then come back agn within the same year they give you a brand new 90 days again without having to pay for the extension.

There's a lot of little caveats that migracion Colombia is not really clear about on their website and you just have to learn them thru experience.

If you have no interest in Colombian food, don't want a diet of just hamburgers and pizza, it's a good option. Most people should be able to find something to their liking on the menu.

June to June won't work because you are still required to leave the country to reset the tourist visa.

They changed quite a bit with the different visas a few years ago, so if you're going to be pushing the 180 days, or using the student visa like I did, do some research.

Also, with any of the formal visas (unless this was changed), you're required to submit a letter, in Spanish. I spent a long time searching, because the Migracion website didn't mention anything about what was supposed to be in the letter. It's basically just a statement of financial responsibility stating you'll be responsible for paying your way out of Colombia when your visa expires.

Though it was her that was offering to sell not me asking to buy. Never had a session for 1 h there although I'd actually expect to pay less and get some kind of discount for longer time, like in casas. AFAIK chicas set their own prices so don't buy the BS of 'papi, I would, but it's not allowed here for less than X'.

Hah, yes that walk thorough toilet can be a mood killer. Rooms are quite alright for Centro standards though. I think they hide those backroom entrances a bit since they aren't officially allowed to offer rooms. I remember when one time me and the chica weren't allowed to get out of the backstage at Nueva Avenida because the police was in the club (well we waited back in the prison room and had some unscheduled additional free fun so no complaints really).

For guys bringing girls back to the hotel, the cedula requirement can be an issue. Most hotels require the physical identification card or password. Some girls have lost it and only have a photocopy or only have the online version on the government website. Last night I had dinner for a girl and everything was going well and I had asked her before coming if she had her cedula and she said yes. Well, we go to my hotel and it turns out she only has a photocopy that is not good enough. There was the option of going to a short-term hotel but it was late and I was uncomfortable about it.

And then tomorrow's girl which is today also has a problem. After last night, I've been more thorough in asking if a girl has her physical identification card. The girl said she only had the online government version with a password. There are a few hotels that take it, like on my last trip, but this hotel did not.

When I get back home, I will mention what hotel I am staying in.

There are plenty of other girls to see when one girl does not have her physical identification but it is always a bummer when the girl you want has issues with her identification card. In the daytime, I am more comfortable with short-term hotels and I would be willing to use one if necessary.

There are some guys who advise men not to bring girls back to the hotel due to security concerns. They feel that the short-term hotels are safer when you want to see girls that you really don't know.

Last year I was here for about 1 month, then left for 5-6 weeks, then came back again on same passport. I extended online and I thought they would have reduced my 90 day extension by the amount of time I had already spent in Colombia on the first visit. Both entry stamps are on the same page of my passport. But no, they extended another 90 days anyway, as if my first visit wasn't included in the total 180 days. And who am I to argue with an immigration official if he / she grants me permission to stay for 210 days in one year? I can only assume they were following the law. They gave my permission to do it anyway.

Barra drinks are expensive, I was there two years ago and I believe it was like 18 mil or20 mil for a beer, I don't know what it is now, I haven't been back since I found my favorite spot Nueva.

I go to Conejita too but the girls are lacking, mostly too thick for my liking jaja and BarriorSpinner got charged 150 mil for half for a thin spinner. He also was quoted 150 mil from another spinner a day earlier too. I got similar thin spinner next door beautiful face (her sister wasn't bad either) at Nueva for 70 mil. I'll post report once I am back and got time.

Clearly I was gouged at 250 k, though, as I reported, the chica was a true Diamond-in-the Rough, equivalent to the hottest ladies that I've ever seen at La Isla and Fase II, and it's sometimes hard to argue with Penis Erectus--I was too turned on to easily take a walk, not to mention that the 4 hour viagra meter was due to run out in an hour or so by the time a had arrived there (a mongering hazard for us at the more ancient end of the geezer spectrum). Can't let that major investment in a blue pill go to waste.

Three of you report having paid 80 k at Barra last year (presumably for half an hour) which seems more or less consistent with the 150 k for a full hour that I recall paying last August at Conejitos. One thing that surprises me in a couple of your responses: the implication (if I read you correctly) that at all, or most, strip clubs one has to be prepared to negotiate with the chica for the price of heading to a room together. My experience during visits over the past 4 years to strip clubs here (from the high end ones to the El Centro low), has always been that, one gets a consistent quote (be it for a half hour or an hour) when questioning say a doorman and then double checking his answer with a waiter or cashier--and also that one gets consistent quotes from different chicas as well. And exactly the same rates are quoted if one returns a week or two later. My experience at Barra (of having to negotiate with the chica on the basic "go-to-the-room" rate, as opposed to the BBBJ / DFK extras) was, hopefully, an exception to the rule.
