OK, thanks for the tips on the Hong Kong trip. Unfortunately I don't have the time to swing by Manila on this trip and meet her. For the P4000 airfare I'll just have ti risk it. If it comes off I get a gf for the w / end. If it doesn't work then I'll just buy locally in HKG. I take from this that I'll still need a list of DH and maids from Tagged. Thanks guys. Again.

Again.[/QUOTE]Just tell her to give herself plenty of time, and I mean a lot 3. 4 hours early before take off, and she still might not get through, but she has to give herself a chance this is through personal experience and I was with her.

Also, she will obviously be travelling on her Philippines passport, any issues that you might be aware of upon her arrival at HKG. Do they really check for available funds? She will have a prepaid return air tix.

BD[/QUOTE]I did it once with a 20yo from phils and she was questioned for about an hour at HK immigration (even though she had required cash, a copy of my hotel reservation and even a letter I which I'd written that I'd take care of all her needs during our stay in HK).

I want to send some money via Xoom to a friend in Manila. She will pick up the cash at MLHuillier. For fairly obvious reasons, I don't want her to know my primary registered address abroad or the billing address of my credit card. I've never used Xoom before, so I am not exactly sure what happens at the receiver's end. Can anyone tell me if the sender's address is printed on any form that the recipient can see when they pick up the cash?

Nice going radical guy! BUT! How long have you been married? If it lasts 10 years then she gets half of anything you got. If you have a pension she gets a % for life.
Who knows the future with you getting older and the guys in her work environment start flirting and looking good.

I married a filipina from bicol long ago and brought her to the USA and the marriage failed within 8 years. I know personally of 3 guys who married filipinas and they ended in divorce after 3 years of marriage.
Several lawyers have told me that filipinas are the most ruthless about money in divorce cases.
Oh! I still like filipinas. They are more open minded / flexible in relationship with an older man. But I won't marry anymore at my age. No more taking chances. LOL

LOL[/QUOTE]Well, actually I am a lawyer. When we married, we signed a prenup (to protect my kids) , and I made sure it is iron-clad enforceable. That is, I paid for her to have her own lawyer review the prenup and sign off on it. I make a comfortable living, but I have no doubt that my wife could easily find a much richer guy to replace me if money was her sole motivation. She is, however, very religious (Protestant) , and her father is a pastor, so marriage is very important to her. As for me, I have stopped my mongering ways, but I still love reading and participating in this forum, sort of a way to relive the "good ol' days." LOL.
