I decided to hit up an anma for the first time in 4 years this past Sunday night, and I thought it would be great to go to the first one I ever experienced: S Anma. I got there about 1:30 AM (Sunday night / Monday morning) and walked into the front door. Everything was different and heavily renovated. Instead of the manager and young lady I remember working the front desk, I was met by two guys in their 20s. I asked in Korean if they accept foreigners, and they consulted one another until the one behind the counter said that they were too busy (on a Sunday in the early AM of a Monday. Right). So, it would seem that at least with the front desk staff that was there yesterday, S Anma may no longer be foreigner friendly. Anyways.

I headed back to the station and recalled that there were reports of several anmas in the Renaissance Hotel area. I went over there and found the street of 4 or 5 anmas just a few blocks before the hotel (when walking toward it from Yeoksam Station). I checked them out and tried the nicest looking one first ("Gung". "palace" in Korean). They turned me down, but told me that the place across the street accepts foreigners. I went over and it was Myeong-Ga in Korean characters, apparently the place that was at one time Baek Sung. They quoted me at 250, 000 with no sign of budging, so I left. I went to Queen next door and was quoted 230, 000, but I talked them down a little to 220, 000. I probably could have gotten a little more of a discount, but it was already past 2 AM, and I was a little damp from the rain and tired from the walking.

Anyways, I got to a little private room where I was able to shower and clean up. I was told initially that I could start with my service with the girl and then get the regular massage, but after my shower, I called the front desk and was told that I was getting a girl whose shift was just about to start. She needed time to get ready, so they sent in the blind masseuse first. The massage was just so so, and the masseuse seemed to be dozing off a little here and there. OK, checked out a couple room salons. Neither were Jum O or 10 Pro, so I cannot comment on those.

One was outside Seoul. Cost is 300, 000 won, there were no waiters, and the lineup was only 6 girls. The manager (who was a dude) stated up front that it was 300, 000 won for room time and one bottle of whiskey and afterward I could go upstairs (it was connected to a motel) for some amount, but unfortunately I don't remember as I got too wasted. It was nice just drinking and talking with the girl. The girl I chose had a very good personality. The girls were average to above average in terms of looks, but being outside of Seoul you could tell they were not top quality.

One was in Gangnam. Cost was 180, 000 won per bottle of whiskey plus tip to the girl which is 100, 000 won plus tip to the the waiter which is like 10, 000 won. So 300, 000 won for a couple of hours of drinking. Lineup was about 15 girls. They were all definitely young, but their looks were pretty much average. 2. RLD. Reason being, you get to choose. I have to admit that the B-Row girls are ugly. I seriously wonder who pays them.

3. Non-Seoul Room Salon. Got a lineup so you can choose.

4. Gangnam Room Salon (Standard, not Jum O or Ten Pro). I guess if you like YOUNG girls that are legitimately as young as 18, it's cool. But underneath the makeup and dresses, they are just average girls that you see all the time walking on the streets of Seoul.

5. Anma. Due to lack of choice. I'm sure there are stunners if you're lucky, but I haven't seen one despite asking for a girl with big boobs once, a sexy girl once, and a cute girl once.

Honestly, Full Salon in Seoul is the way to go in my opinion. So I guess what I went to fits more into the Club category. Also, it is interesting to note that room salon girls from Club and up do not consider themselves as prostitutes, though they technically are.

Long time lurker but decided to post my report to contribute to the community here.

Cons: Although they try to get someone according to your preference, it is not always a match. I supposed you can ask the hostess to switch but it could be a hassle. Price. 200k is up there. Hera seems to be one of the nicest Anmas out there, fairly classy for an Anma but you pay for it.

Would I go back? Yes most likely. It is clean and they try their best to take care of you.
