Visiting Phuket next week for 3 days.

I have booked Patong resort as it's near Bangla street, also nuru on Soi Sansabai.

I was there for a week. I avoided staying in Patong because I prefer a quieter scene. My plan was to take a cab into Patong once or twice but actually never got around to it.

This is where most of the action is. Lots of them dotted around.

Ole Bar. Really friendly bar, LDs and normal drink prices very reasonable. I got to know quite a few of the girls here and they were genuinely very friendly. Like with all the bars in Rawai you won't see rows of 7,8 and 9's. There will be quite a few 5's and 6's but always a 7 and above mixed in as well.

Bar fine was 500 and girl was 2000 or 2500 I can't remember. It was late so she was happy to stay the night and gave me a morning blow job. Really nice girl and full on GFE, was snogging my face off in the taxi on the way to my hotel so I knew it would be a good night.

Gilbis Bar.

This is a complex of 5 or 6 bars under one roof. For some reason when I went there were hardly any girls. Had some drinks and left.

Bank Bar. This bar always seems to be busy. Lots of 5's and 6's but some 7's hanging around as well. Same kind of prices as Ole.

Laguna. A number of different bars under one roof. This place is also quite busy and some very decent talent in there and the girls friendly. When the bars close (?1 am) everyone piles into the club right next to it.

More FLs turn up to the club, plenty of 7's. No bar fine at the club and I think I paid 3000 for a girl who I had met earlier at the bar. Again she was happy to stay the night and give a little action in the morning before breakfast.

Thai Friendly. I had great luck with TF and hooked up with a real sweety and ended up seeing her three times. She took 2000 the first time and on subsequent occasions was happy to take even less but I insisted. I think she liked me. On one occasion I wasn't feeling well and so didn't want to hook up but she insisted on coming to see me and wouldn't take any money. We didn't have sex on that occasion as I wasn't well but she just hung out with me to make sure I was ok.

In summary I had an absolute blast, I had loads of little adventures that I haven't even mentioned but Rawai probably isn't for everyone. It's a low key affair and you won't see rows and rows of stunners like I suspect you might in Patong, but the gems are there. I enjoy bar hopping so I was happy to explore.

TFT had told me that things are friendlier, more 'real', less transactional and cheaper in Rawai and he was spot on. I got GFE from every girl I bedded (I took the time to vet them) and they seemed happy to stay LT for very reasonable ST money. It was exactly that kind of experience that I was after and I got it. So big thanks to him again.

Of course as alway YMMV. I'm a friendly guy and I know how to put people at ease. I'm also generous when buying drinks etc and that always helps LOL.

Most single bar setups throughout Rawai, like Ole Bar, Chill House Bar, Asia Bar and similar, have attached short time room (s) available, usually 500-800 baht.

The bar complexes like Banana Plaza and Gilbis Place have short time rooms also, Banana upstairs, and Gilbis next to toilets, again 500-800 baht.

In fact its one of the hidden bonuses of Rawai bar punting.

Plus any bargirls working Rawai would generally have no issues going back with you to Patong for overnight, just a taxi fare in the morning.

Some bars don't have obvious short time rooms, like Laguna Plaza and Bank Bar, however all the girls know where ones are close by.

Laguna has Rawai Condotel about 100 m walk away, and Bank Bar girls I've known to take customers to the next door massage shops, or even to others bars next door and use theirs!
