I think you will find you got a pin adapter not a converter
Not sure where to post this. On my last two trips I have burned out two Hitachi wand vibrators. You know, the kind you massage your back with (wink). Each time I used a standard electrical converter from the front desk for my 110 wand. Each time, as soon as I turned it on, there was a small pop noise, a small wisp of smoke and the smell of electrical wire burning. I unplugged it and it never worked again. They are about $40 and I don't want to lose another one. I have had much fun with the ladies here in my home country with it, and you know how pinay can be curious. Any thoughts on how to make the electrical thing work right?
https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Mains_power_around_the_world
Pi power is 220/240 v and the cheap adapters just change the pin settings from non Pi to Pi pins
For example, if you look in the bathroom of decent hotels, you will see two separate power outlets of 110 and 220/240 so unless you get her to use the next one in there but then you have to watch electrocution.
