However. 500 pesos is certainly not out of the question, and 600 pesos is very possible. At current exchange rates it's about $40 - $47. So, pay the chicas in pesos.
Once the girls start their shift they can't leave to join you in your hotel. I have some personal experience with exceptions, but they are very rare. If you want extracurricular activities, it's best to arrange them outside of working hours.
Technically, sex in the privados is illegal. But, YMMV and the girls get up to all sorts of things in there. Depends on the girl. And the mesero may walk in on you.
HK girls can leave with you to your hotel but you either have to wait until their shift ends or you can pay a bar fine which I believe is $240.

Maybe I was looking on the wrong street, but maybe you could tell me the specific cross street that it's closes to?
I'm going to be there in February, and I want to try a day or two in pesos. Do these places open on Saturday or Sunday? And are the exchange rates just as good on weekends?

That was a typo. It should read NORTH of Ticuan. I think it was on NH. I realy can't remember the cross street, but if you see it, you can't miss it. A huge appliance store, washers / dryers, etc, in the window.
However, unless you're exchanging several hundred dollars, a 10-centavo difference, one way or another, isn't going to make a huge difference.
Most cambios are open on the weekends, although Sunday hours may be a bit different. The rates fluctuate, but I've not noticed that they go down on the weekends and up during the week. However, I've noticed that the ones in the Zona tend to drop at night and increase during the day.
Today the cambio on Coahuila, just east of Constitucion, had the best rates in the zona. 12. 63:1

I've never been to Mexico before, but have been many times in Cuba and Brazil. I think I put Tijuana higher than Rio de Janeiro (now after the disco Help is closed) and also Havana that pricetag is quite similar to Tijuana.
What I wonder is if anyone can recommend even better places in Mexico than Tijuana? I have no other place in Mexico to compare with. I would like to be back in Tijuana soon, but if there are better places for both quality and price wise I do like this new place.

But there is nothing quite like Tijuana for the price and variety.
Girls from all over Mexico come to Tijuana to work. So, if you poke around you'll run into women for virtually every state. You'll find women of every size and shape. The Tijuana experience itself can be an acquired taste. But, concerning your criteria of quality and price, there is nowhere else in Mexico like Tijuana.
In the Zona bars, you really don't need a wingman unless you just want a guy to talk to. If you see a lady you like, you either walk up to her and ask her over, or catch her eye and wave her over, or ask the mesero to bring her over. Hell, in most places, if you sit alone longer than about 30 seconds the meseros start dragging them over to you. If you need one who speaks English, tell the mesero.

I thought maybe I was doing something wrong so I tried a bunch of different dates. But it showed nothing available, so I called the hotel they had rooms but they said if I book direct there is no discount. Anybody run into the same problem. It looks like it might just be there way of raising the prices.
I say the Chiapas / Guatemala region has got to be worth a visit. Also a few cities on the gulf coast. Otherwise most mexican towns have something just not comparable to Tijuana. I am kicking myself in the ass for missing the good Nuevo Laredo days. I had no idea it even existed.
When you get hooked on Tijuana you are hoping to find other places in mexico just like it or better but it is truly a unique place for Mexico and the USA.

I just checked on the availability for the upcoming 3-day weekend, and no Internet rates were available. Not sure what is going on, but I will stay there anyway because it is a good place for the regular rates.

It must have something to do with the current exchange rate?
I will be in Tijuana for 5 nights this month. Last time I was there, I really enjoyed my stay at Ticuan. I stayed 1 night at Santiago and didn't like it, so I moved to Ticuan and thought it was great.
I've stayed the night in Cascadas before, and it was fine. Not as good as Ticuan, but comfortable enough. Towels are not as fluffy. If it were August, I'd probably want air conditioning, but it's February, so the fact that AC at Cascadas is do-it-yourself by opening or closing a window is fine.
I like the girls at HK a lot. If I have a room in Cascadas, I don't pay the $15 per visit. And if I want a street girl, most of them will go to a room at Casadas, so I save the $5 per visit price at whatever dump the girl is standing in front of. Plus, I have a relatively clean place to stay. I don't think the noise will bother me. I'm a sound sleeper.
For those who are considering what I'm considering, here's a price comparison. In both places I have the cost for the least expensive rooms, all listed in US dollars.
* Stay at Ticuan *
$54 x 5 nights = $270.
$15 x 18 visits to Cascadas = $270.
Total = $540 on lodging.
* Stay at Cascadas *
$50 x 1 VIP card = $50 (gets you 20% off hotel, plus other benefits)
$40 x 2 weekend rate = $100.
$32 x 3 weekday rate = $66.
Total = $226.
I estimate staying at Las Cascadas will net me an additional $314 to spend on my favorite chicas. And since I would probably buy a VIP card, even if I stayed at Ticuan, that makes the Cascadas savings to be about $364 total over a 5 day visit.
Is that worth being a LITTLE less comfortable? I'll let you know after my adventure.
