4x4 is only open five days a week, not six. The Copa termas are typically open every day (except holidays), but the centro termas usually shut down for the weekend.

If you just goto 4x4 to allow yourself to be processed, then yes, it is assembly line like. But I like to go there also for the raunchy atmosphere, the drinking, all of the playing. Observe how the locals approach the game in 4x4: most cannot afford to take a girl to a room, but they still have a great time.

Here is another wrinkle to the game that I like to play: getting the terma girls to spend after hours or the weekend with you. Yes, often I go to termas (an also German FKKs) just for the purpose of having great sex with many girls. But once in a while I treat the time inside the terma just as an audition to get the girls over to my hotel for TLN. And, BTW, in all cases (with one single exception) after hour sex or weekend sex were freebies. :D I find that treating the girls nice and pretending that this is not an assembly line job is the key to getting much better service.

One was in just a regular room on the same floor as the store(I guess that's the 4th floor or maybe 3rd) in the same area as the cabinas. The only reason I noticed was the door was open. I was lost wandering around that place but nobody seemed to mind. The other one was a floor below that one again through a regular door but on the same floor as the one where you can see while waiting for your cabina.

I've been around the world including FKK's all over SEA. I haven't came across anyplace with the quality or quantity as 4X4. Is it just me or do you guys know of a better place on earth?????

I would agree, I often go just to connect for the weekend. Just as last weekend when I was in town I went on Wed, Thurs, and Friday night. I only sessioned on Thursday because I needed to let a couple girls know I was in town. Friday night and Sat one of the more popular 4x4 girls came by to visit for free other than lunch on the beach and a return taxi for Saturday. I just love this place. If you visit and treat the girls nice you will have a lot of freebies.. Can not wait for my return trip in June. Maybe sooner if the tickets stay cheap. Just my 2 cents

My last and only visit to Rio was in 2005 and I enjoyed my time in Centro termas, especially Terma 4x4 and Terma 502. I am going again in early May, 09 and plan to visit these two termas again. Is there anyone who can kindly give us update on the recent price structure of Terma 4x4 and other Centro termas?

A while back Lorenzo wrote a really excellent report including a price list for 4 X 4. As many other veterans will suggest, next time RTF*, saying it mildly. The entrance fee is 40 Reals.

I could be wrong, but I thought entrance at 4x4 was 30 reals not 40. For sure, the rates for the simple cabina are 180 Reals for 40 minutes and 200 Reals for an hour. Somebody let me know if I am wrong about the entrance fee. Also if you take a girl to the cabina before 5pm, there is no entrance fee.

I was wondering the same thing. I am thinking of either Rio or Germany for my next trip....Last time I was in Rio was in 2005 and it was R$35 to enter (waived if you took a girl before 5pm). and R$190 for 40 minutes in a cabin.....I am sure it has gone up...also what are prices at Solarium now, my other favorite termas

I know the cabina prices at 4x4 are 180 and 200 for sure. Don't remember if they have gone up since last year but this was the prices as of last Wed. And definitely no entry fee if you take a girl to a room before 5. Somebody correct me if i'm wrong about entry at 4x4. All the bunda has made me a little forgetful. LOL

No entry fee if you take a girl before 5:00.

Back early flight from Belem today. And, much as I love Belem, possibly even more than Rio (though not for the rather average mongering facilities), there are things about Rio other than the obvious sugary loafs and things.

Like being able to roll in at literally any hour of the day or night and get laid.

And thinking on muggings, although the rate might be high, is it not one of the better cities to be mugged in? You can be reasonably sure that there is a low likelihood of violence unless youi initiate it. So if you don´t carry much worth stealing it is maybe about as inconvenient as getting caught in a bad rainstorm. And although I am not keen to provide updates - it´s a few years now since I´ve been mugged or robbed - where else will the robber often give you your taxi or bus fare home afterwards?

This place was in its heydays (mid 90s) one of the the coolest drinking hole on the planet and I'm VERY curious to know what it's like since it reopened a few monthes ago after some 8 years of closure.

You're right, Belem is, with Sao Luis, the most captivating city in Brasil IMO.
