High season starts about now, Thanksgiving time. Low season starts mid - late March.

I think a lot of different people's experience with pricing has something to do with market forces, but also has a lot to do with the particular person in question. If the girl likes you for whatever reason (ie, handsome man, jai dee, well dressed, good hygiene, whatever), then generally speaking you will get her to go for a cheaper price than someone else might get her for. It is a definite case of YMMV.

bowerboy, sorry bro, i understand your posting your findings, but i can tell you these are not typical findings. beergarden soi 7 is a 1,000 baht st max, it can be less. if you go very late you may just get lt for that price. i've had nana car park experiences (it hurts to admit it however), and i've never been asked for more than a 1,000 for 2pops, one girl included anal for an extra 500, yippee ! i am not young, i am not slim, i smoke, i dress smart causal, no flip flops, well groomed. go back 10 yrs and i received the 'handsum man, where you go?" call every where i went, i can't say i've heard that called out to me for several years now. maybe i'm no longer handsum !?

My last trip to BKK (October 2007) was an amazing experience, and a lot of it wouldn't have happened without information learned from this and other boards. In the spirit of giving something back, here's some info about my last trip, from a grateful newbie.
First outing: Akane Chitlom. I'm a complete newb walking in, with a married man's concerns about diseases and god knows what else. I'll be lucky to get off at all, I think. Well, no problem. I buy the "hand service" package since I'm scared of lip service at this point (disease), and choose Shizuka from a line up of 3 (I went right at 12 noon). Up we go, and within the first 15 minutes she has me clean as a whistle, and hard as a rock. It turns out I like the prostate massage (who knew), so round one happens on the shower table. Nice massage followed by round 2, and she is receptive to my concerns and also to what's working for me and what's not. FOr most of you, this is boring, but for me it was my first step over to the dark side. She tells me she's 26. 1100 baht, I tipped 500.

Secondly, I chose her based on her engaging me with her eyes and smile, and was rewarded with someone willing to put herself into it a lot more than Olive. I clearly shouldn't have tipped Miyuki, but once again, I have chosen to solve this issue by simply not repeating my choice.
Fifth outing: Poseidon, in search of body slide. "No body slide here for 4 years", papasan tells me. Oh well. Still up for new experiences. Chose a nice looking 24 year old whose name I can't remember, but performance was uninspired, so no big deal about the name. Number was 211. Papasan tells me "great body, not good service", but I have not yet learned that Papa sometimes knows best. Still, all is not bad. In addition to a great body, this one has an education, or so she tells me. Bachelors degree in economics, and soon to start an MBA. True? Who knows. Still, her English was very good. Good enough that we spoke about a lot of subjects. She tells me she has 3. 4 customers per day, 6 days/wk. I figure out if she makes a total of 500 baht from each one (tip plus anything the house pays her? ), she's pulling in about 10, 000 baht per week, or about 40k/month (about $1200 US). I'm sure some earn much more, and I'm sure some earn much less. But if she is average, this is indeed a very good living for Bangkok. Over double what I've been told the average "middle" salary is for ordinary working people. I'm pleased to hear this, because I don't like the idea of plundering Bangkok's treasures unless they're doing well out of it too. A combination of CBJ and sex follows a great bath and an OK hand job, but the reality is that this girl really shouldn't be here because her mind's not in it (she's there to pay for school), and it comes through. The talk and snuggle was the best part. Funniest moment came when she commented on how tall I was, but thank goodness my penis wasn't too big. I totally agree that a looker is different to a non-looker, not sure i'd agree that all lookers are only available through a bar at the higher prices mentioned though. It's all personal persepctive really, eye of the beerholder and all that. As i said before anythings possible and there is a huge amount of YMMV.

I would disagree completely, the clean looking, smell nice thing is a myth, it is about the money and do not fool yourself otherwise. I am 37 years old, run 8kms everyday at Lumpini and whilst not hansum I am ok looking and normally always go to the bars well dressed. I do absolutely agree though that it is an issue of timing, if you are in the right place at the right time (for whatever unexplained reason) you can get it cheaper than normal. Arrived in Bangkok today. After an early evening session I went for a beer first at Soi Cowboy, then at Patpong. Being exhausted from my flight and the session, I did not take anyone from either place. However, from just watching I found the quality much, much higher at Patpong than at Cowboy.
