I have had a couple look disappointed that I didn't have dollars. One even asked why I didn't have dollars, and I replied that we're in Mexico, and here we use pesos. She smiled.

Men may have little power, but that is only because they give it away. Feminism has, for years, pounded nonsense into guys' heads. Especially the younger guys. The women has all the power, men are lucky if women notice their existence, men have to take whatever crap they feel like dishing out, etc, etc. The chicas in the alley come up with all sorts of nonsense, and gringo horndogs put up with it. Contrast this with the girls farther up the street. Their looks tend to range more to local tastes, and their clientele is more local. You'll find that there is much less of this BS with these women. Fewer upsells, less attitude, generall speaking. There are exceptions.

My point is that it's a buyer's market. Look around and note the number of customers and compare that with the number of available girls. If one starts the BS, blow her off and move on. There are 100 right behind her. You don't have to be a jerk, but never give up what power you have just because she says so.

They were quietly standing on the sidewalk when I left HK, and for some reason I turned my head to look across the street as I was nearing them, then I got blasted in the ear by the trumpet blare when they suddenly began playing.

Exchanging Money: Basically there is a very small benefit to using Peso, but the problem is getting Peso. If you go through an ATM you usually pay a fee to your bank and the bank you remove the money from as well as a currency conversion fee. I figure that I save about $300 every weekend that I am there. One time I saved over $150 when I bought new tires for my car. I use my ATM card as my bank does not charge a foreign transaction fee. When the casa de cambio is giving 12. 5 per dollar I get 13 per dollar out of the ATM machine even after the fee that the machine takes. If a gal wants to charge higher than 10 to 1 on the exchange rate, I move on to another gal.

OK, please don't shoot me down for posting a TR on Tijuana. I know most of the information on here has already been shared on this forum but I did want to share a first timer's experience in Tijuana.

- Scheduled time with a couple of Tania's girls.

- Landed in SD and drive a rental down to border.

- Parked right across Jack in the box at the border in San Ysidro.

- Crossed over on foot to Tijuana (20 min walk)

- Took a yellow cab to Hotel Ticuan ($5 and 10 min ride) and checked into a nice room.

- Called Tania and asked one of the girls to come over.

- Hotel lobby called me down to sign on a piece of paper and a copy of my drivers license when the chica arrived.

- Spent an hour with the chica (two pops)

- Confirmed with Tania to send the second chica in an hour.

- Rested and went couple of more pops with the second chica.

- 8:00 PM. 4 pops and I am already spent. I guess I am getting old now.

- Went down to the bar for a couple of drinks and met a real college cutie. She was probably 18 or thereabouts. Had a few drinks with her and popped the question. She said not this time but next time I am in town. Took her number, checked it to make sure it was hers and walked up to my room again.

- I wanted to check the BG scene but did not venture out as I was too tired and spent.

Lessons learnt on this trip:

- You can have a better time here if you know some spanish. I did not know much.

- Hotel Ticuan is really good. I loved the food there and the rooms were really nice.

- Next time, stay for two days. Dedicate one night to the BG scene (I am not really into SG scene)

- These chicas are horny. Great actors. Awesome in bed. Very open minded. And the list goes on.

- Time to consider the blue pill seriously!

Headed to Tijuana for Super Bowl weekend on Thursday it was a pretty uneventful weekend. Met up with BG / GF headed to Las Pulgas. Friday hung out in Zona Rio and took in a movie. Saturday morning she got a text from a regular who had just hit town and wanted to meet up with her. She kept telling me its ok yes 200 dollars for a couple hours is alot of money. I guess if you are going to date a prostitute you better not have a jealous bone in your body. Anyway she ended up not going and we spent the day in the park. I was still a little pissed seeing as how she has told me on no more sex in bar only cervezas. But thats ok I let her know I had to leave to meet a friend down in the Zona Saturday for a couple hours. After the park I guess she wanted to make sure if I was going to be in the Zona without her that I did not have anything left in the tank she provided some wild sex all over the room everywhere except the bed, good thing there was not a chandieler.

I was never really sure if I was going to stay for the Super Bowl or just place a bet and watch the game at home. At the last minute I booked the room for another night to see what Super Bowl was like in Tijuana. She had no interest in Americano football, and was going to go to her house and spend the day with her kids. As we were passing the Caliente I decided to drop $100 on the giants and I told her the ticket is hers if the Giants win she will have about $200 if they lose she will have nada. All of a sudden a football fan was created We picked up a Giants hat for her and headed to the Zona. Probably not a good place to watch the Super Bowl everywhere seemed to have the game on but with the Mexican music blaring there was no sound from the game. It was a great game and she really got into it. There was alot of drinking and she was very happy the Giants hung on to win. You would think for sure by now I would remember what happens when she has to much alcohol.

We ended up meeting up with a couple of her friends and we were going to go to Las Pulgas. I sent a text to (FatMan) a guy I had met from another Tijuana board to come and join us he showed up, but we could never quite get everyone together to leave. Buy this point I start to realize the GF is quite drunk. You can always tell when she gets to that point where beer bottles start breaking oooh ooo problemas ahead.

After about our 5th attempt to leave the bar in the Zona my GF said she was going to the bathroom and then we would go. It seemed like she had been gone awhile so I turned to look around and I see her in a full on fist fight with another lady. Oh shit here we go There were door guys and meseros trying to break it up. I grabbed her and with the help of one of the door guys we got her outside. But she was not finished she is yelling and fighting trying to get back inside. I was trying my hardest to just get her in a cab and get the hell out of there. But she was being totally irrational if I would have gotten anymore physical with her I would be her next victim. The next thing I know the girl she was fighting with came outside, and now I'am right in the middle of them with punches flying all around me. Eventually they get broken up but she is still going loco and I can see a Policia walking over, I tried one last time to get her in the cab, but she wouldn't have any part of that.

Next thing she is trying to argue her case with the Policia, he can see she is crazy barracho and he calls for a back up. At this point I back away and figure it is just best to become a spectator. It is not long and soon she is fighting with the police and getting thrown into a police car. I was not sure what to do next. I have no idea how the Mexican justice system works, is she going to get one phone call. By now my phone is completely dead, I do have her phone with me but I doubt she will even think of calling her phone, hell for all I know they don't even get one phone call.

I went back inside to tell her friend what happened, but her friend did not seem to concerened she was all cuddled up to Fatman with a big smile on her face. I went back outside and found a phone # of a mutual friend of ours on her phone. This guy spoke perfect english and I was sure he would know what to do. The only problem was the # was no good. I was about to just catch a cab and head back to the hotel thinking she new the room # and maybe she would call me there. My biggest dilema was I had her phone her car keys I'd and purse were in the room and I wanted to leave first thing in the morning.

But as fate would have the driver of the cab I got into spoke fairly good english and he had witnessed the whole ordeal. He offered to take me to the police station so we could see what was going on. He turned out to be the right man for the job. At the station he seemed to know most of the officers at the station and he was able to pretty quickly find out what was going on. They wanted like $250 dollars to get her out right then and there. However he said if we wait until they take her to the main jail the cost will probably be alot less. He seemed to be all in he said we may have to wait 45 minutes to an hour for her down at the main jail but that is where she would end up. My next question was what are you going to charge for your services he wanted $30 I guess that was reasonable but I had no idea what it should cost.

I had $70 on me and another $70 in the room so he took my by the hotel to get the rest of the money. Then he suggested we head for a cambio to change some of the money to pesos. Next stop the main jail. I'am sure everyone has seen those Policia pick up trucks loaded with prisoners driving around the city, well this place is the dumping grounds for all those pick ups. Every 5 to 10 minutes a pick up would roll in and dump off a load. Unlike an american jail whenever a pick up would roll in me and the cabbie would stroll over and inspect the load looking for my GF. We were there doing this for almost 3 fucking hours. Finally a closed van backed in, he kind of slammed on the breaks and I heard a scream from inside that I immediately recognized. Sho enough she had made it. It did not take long and they told me they wanted 700 pesos for her. I paid it and I was given a stern warning to make sure she would not show up at the bar for 36 hours or there would be big problems.

Back at the hotel I paid Francisco the cabbie his $30 and a $20 dollar tip. My only regret was not getting Francisco's phone number put into my phone, you never know when he would come in handy. I had already decided she was not getting the $200 Caliente ticket I 'am not up on the peso conversion but I guess what ever I spent to get her out of jail we will just call it a wash. And as far as her punishment for her behavior, no sexo for her the rest of the night.

On a side note the next day I had a chance to meet up with Fatman as we were walking past the rip off joint known as the Playboy Bar. He pointed out the douche bag mesero who he took by the throat and slammed into the wall when the guy had tried to rip him off. No need to worry Fatman if you should have another altercation and you should end up in a Mexican jail, I have now learned exactly where to go to get someone out of jail.

Monday there was a long long line at the border, maybe because of a Mexican holiday. Anyway I jumped in one of those vans and paid the $5 It was the best $5 dollars I ever spent I was in the POE building in 10 minutes. I said I was never going to use those vans, due to the one time I did for some reason they used the Otay Mesa crossing and it took forever. This time it worked great.

Oh yea no one needs to tell me how stupid I'am for hanging out with this loco GF. These Mexican adventures are so much more entertaining than just sitting home and watching TV. Oh shit I forgot to cash the ticket at Caliente I guess I'am now forced to return to Tijuana within the next 60 days.

See my reports under Cuba section for more detail. The ticket for my first trip cost me $600 and the second ticket $800, both with Aeromexico via Mexico City. There is only one direct charter flight to / from Tijuana and it may not even be in operation anymore. Regardless, the charter flight is your worst option since it is a weekly flight and there has been reports of many delays and even some cancellations. Note that the leg from TIJ to MEX will almost always be red-eye if you don't want to stay overnight in Mexico City.

The rate wasn't posted outside, but I went in and asked, even though I didn't need to change any money today. The girl behind the counter (and bullet-proof glass) said the rate was 12.49 per dollar on a day when all the signs on the street are advertising 12.25 per dollar. I asked to make sure the rate was for trading dollars into pesos and she confirmed.
