Wow Lima airport was a breeze to get through. Took about 5 minutes and the immigration lady was super nice.

You can get a SIM card at the airport but it's like 100 soles for 7 days and 170 soles for a month. It seemed overpriced, so I decided to hold off even though it's super convenient. I ended up getting one at the mall for 40 soles. Note that they require a physical passport to set you up.

There's an Interbank ATM at the airport. 400 soles max withdrawal; 25 soles fee. ATMs in Peru are an absolute ripoff given how low the max withdrawal amount is. If your bank doesn't reimburse your ATM fees; definitely bring cash and exchange instead. BCP does let you withdraw 700 max, but has a 35 fee. I tried using 4 different ATMs and found that I wasn't charged a fee at the multiRed ATM, YMMV.

I guess people already had the legacy banks before BanBif opened and nobody wants to switch over. Lines are 1 mile long at other ATMs, but a BanBif ATM you can walk right up to.
