If you stay in Sukumwit area, catch the underground (subway) train to Sutthisan and walk back from there, making sure you exit the correct side of station relative to direction of train travel.
Another idea: Chao Phraya II (pronounced Jao Pra-yar) in Sri Ayutthaya Road, Pratuu Naam. Catch a motorcycle from BTS (skytrain) station Phaya Thai. Make sure you don't go to J-One (a rip-off joint) in same street (taxi drivers like to go there). Ask for the mamasan/chearlady little chubby Anne to recommend girls from the fishbowl to you. They provide a historical view point. Obviously, the more recent the experience the more useful, but things change rather slowly.
