I have been here since Saturday and I think I am going to leave early (had planned to stay a whole week).
In the Centro Chicas Lindas, Cacique or whatever and that third club seem to be under-covered here. Not bad. Corronchas was kind of dead and I think the prices have gone up or at least the girls are asking more.
Angeles Club and Rocio there was one girl that caught my attention in each place. Both I thought had somewhat pleasant but boring and business like attitudes. Prices seem fairly in both places with some room to wiggle for TLN. They want to do everything in a way that is boring, covered, etc. Even oral sex with a condom in a place where they are charging a fairly heavy price.
Street action seemed just OK. I didn't go to LDV. There is such limited action in the day time here, I knew that, but it stood out on this trip. I did link up with one of my old favorites for a two-day, one night marathon session. Other than that, I was mostly hot and bored here. I did stay in a very nice hotel but looking at the rack rate (about $300 a night!) I wouldn't have paid it if not for the sweet deal I got.
Overall, Cartagena is a fine place to take a girl but I think an increasingly shitty destination for mongering. The girls are not very willing to hustle a buck with deals, extras, etc. Lots of foreigners forking over big bucks, which I think is a very overstated problem in other parts of the country. Same girl that went with me TLN plus all day after had some Brazilian dude come in and pay 2,000,000 pesos to have her for two days, almost the exact same amount of time she went with me for 300,000. Staggering.
The chicas come from all over but I don't think them to be on average any better looking than the locals in Medellin, Cali, Armenia, etc. Some cabby was telling me Monteria is a good destination for mongering. Having passed through there once, I sort of have my doubts.
It's an epidemic everywhere. Lot's of newly minted platinum AMEX latinos who are willing to rack up the miles. We just became 2nd class!

I have noticed more street action in many places, but it's almost a drag. The little prepagos invade the old city at night. I took a friend out to dinner and she brought her uncle and aunt, who are formal old people in their 70s. A pair of middle school aged prostitutes were flashing the old man and trying to get him to give them a go. This is how my mom described Haiti in the 70s, only with even younger girls flashing their pussy to any man who stepped off the boat.
Overall I found Cartagena to be a hot, sticky mess. I have been several times previously, but always brought my sand to the beach. There are some good eating options and some nice albeit overpriced hotels. Worth it for a romantic trip but I was not into the scene there.
Guys, do not stay at the "Centro Hotel". They didn't allow me bring a girl at night.

It doesn't seem like much is happening here on the board lately. Ctg usually picks up at around the beauty pagent / holiday, maybe it has, but people aren't reporting about it. Anyways, I'm headed down for my 7th trip on Wed. 27th. I love the vibe of this town, I know some of the reports lately haven't been too flattering, but for me I find the trips just keep getting better. I hope that continues! My usual routine is to hang out on the beach during the day, fiesta with friend / s late afternoon. Dinner, nap (hopefully!). And then LDV or the regular clubs in centro at night. Glad to have a beer with anyone looking to have fun.

i was just there and shared my thoughts. the street action in the centro is plentiful but getting kind of shameful lol. tons of **** girls with no tact at all, i think i mentioned the 14-year-olds coming onto a 75 year old guy with his elderly wife and other relatives lol.
the casas and bars are getting overrun by people paying huge price for whatever service. i found the attitudes at places like rocio and angeles to be more businesslike and boring than ever. if not for an old favorite, i would really not have been enticed by anything.
that said, there is loads of action to be had and some of it has to be good. be patient, be thorough and enjoy.

Coming to Cartagena after Medellin and need the guide who can help to make contacts with the girls. I am not interested in casas, interested mostly in semi or non. I don't know Spanish well.
