I will be visiting Shanghai in next week and would like to have some fun.
Is there any place for group fun, like swinger clubs with access to singles or anything similar.
Or details of some MP's please
Yes. Drive to the nearest Metro station, leave the car there and save you concentration and blood pressure for recreation activity!
Well driving is not so bad here in shanghai compare to other cities, and when talking about "around shanghai", my meaning was more around "outside shanghai".
Any ideas where to go? I am a bit tired with the wuzhong / hongqiao or baoshan scene/
I am more looking for cheap action such as in BBS.
Thanks a lot for any help.

Does anyone know anything about the Chinese Chat App Momo
It is unfortunately in Chinese, so any help in translating the sign on screens or registration screens would be appreciated.

Comment on how you find girls on QQ? Thanks.
There are many ways to find QQ girls.
You can built up a QQ account and wait till they contact you. But this needs at least 2 or 3 month before you will be in the "data-base" they use to contact potential customers. With QQ you can also be logged in with different accounts at the same time, so you can built a new QQ-account only for that and leave you QQ-number in a lot of Chinese forums, than the girls (and pimps) will find you very fast.
Best way is you check some Chinese web pages, where you can find profiles of this girls. But for that, you should be able to understand some Chinese (or you use google online translation, but this service sucks for the special words the girls use sometimes (for example the service description and so on). Some of the pages (most of them have a structure like a forum) will not show contact details or sometimes pictures, before you get a paid member, and here you will have a big problem without a payment way in China. But there are still some free pages like for example:
http://www.shlf.info/forumdisplay.php?fid=14
Here you can select the area you are, than you will find girls profiles with QQ numbers and details about her service. But don`t trust the pictures! Even they look very "handmade" and you will not find the same picture as a copy somewhere else, it is not sure that the girl will look like the pictures. And a lot of them are strongly photoshoped, so even it is real, the girl can be much more fat or old!
But you have to know, if you don`t speak Chinese, it will be very hard to visit the girl in her appartment. Because they are afraid about a raid, they will not give you the adress details when you chat with them. Normal way is, you will get the corner where you leave the taxi, than you have to call them where to go now. But on the phone without translation service and no Chinese skills, it will be complicate. Some will also come to your room, but a lot of the QQ-Accounts are hold by agents, than you definitly will not get the girl from the profile! And they will also try to charge much more, if you tell them you are a western guy!
If you want to check out the special QQ-Forum appreviations or need instruction how to install:

And easy way is to look on Weixin. When you have a QQ number you can login on weixin with this number. Install Weichat on your mobile phone and then run it. When you run "look around" you will find lot of qq girls.

I suspect that many on the board already know this but for the sake of those who don't, I wanted to share tonight's experience. I have one night only at Pudong Airport and so I thought I would try to get to Bodi via MagLev and taxi. The first part went very well. The second part was very weird. I had the address in both English and in Chinese and tried several taxi drivers and none would take me there. My Chinese isn't very good but it seemed like they didn't recognize the location (even though the MagLev station is on Longyang Lu) and I could convince anyone to take me. One taxi driver, after telling me he didn't know the address, called someone on his cell phone, and then said that he would take me but that the fare would be 100 RMB. This seemed like a total scam to me since the MagLev from the airport was only 50 RMB. So if anyone can tell me what the expect cab fare is to Bodi Hotel from the Maglev station, I'd appreciate it for the next time.
Anyway, after that recurrent frustration, I ended up going to the Korean Massage place right across the street. The massage was quite good, including the hot stones, but there was no HE. Additionally, they charged an extra 100 RMB for the oil and the total damage for 100 minutes with tea was 508 RMB.

LD
Most taxi drivers here cannot comprehend an exact address, you will have substantially better luck telling them the cross streets or calling the hotel and have them explain directions to the driver. The distance from Longyang Road Station to Bodi is less than 5km, so you're right, RMB100 was definitely a rip-off (should have been approximately RMB20).

LD
It's about a 5 minute ride and should cost almost nothing.
There are many scam taxis at the Maglev station. That's what the 100 rmb was about.
The reason the a holes told you they didn't know where it was is because it was such a small fare they didn't want to get out of line for it. I would amend my post by suggesting that you leave the station and walk to somewhere you can just flag a taxi on Longyuan St. If they are lost, point towards Puxi and say "that way" and then you'll see the big black shiny building with the red neon all over it on the right after about 5 minutes.
