I once found a new Indo shag while I was waiting on a kebab at a place opposite what used to be Laguna Disco. She had missed the last train back to Lantau. Asked her if she wanted to go to my hotel and 'watch tv' with me and well, you know what happened after that. After we did the deed, I put her in a taxi and sent her home. I was still hungry so I went back to the same area for more food and damned if I didn't end up with another Indo for the rest of the night! I've met numerous expat Filipinos through the years, in Hong Kong, Indonesia and in the USA, who were working girls, DHs, and professional co-workers, and every single one of them without fail has had at least one elderly relative back home who's needed eye surgery and who needed money to pay for it. Is there something in the Filipino water or diet that causes this?

The Filipino relatives back home have mastered the laying-on of a guilt trip onto the expat Filipinos, asking to pay school fees for assorted nieces, nephews, second cousins, third cousins, etc and other assorted expenses, to the point that some expat Filipinos don't even bother to go back home, as the ceaseless demands for money would bankrupt them. I work with one colleague from the Philippines who hasn't been home in 8 years, saying it's cheaper to just keep sending US $1,00 a month over there.

There was an interesting article about this topic in the International Herald Tribune in December 2005 that still is applicable today.

Just came back from a trip to HK. Checked out Wan Chai and ended up getting quite hammered which of course isn't the best idea.
