Those raids occur probably at least twice a year, but situation returns to normal pretty quickly (sometimes, just a few hours after the latest raid).

I have read on other forums that there is a new "top cop" in town, he's probably trying to make an impression to his bosses and is busily trying to get the new tea money rates set.
Well gentlemen it has been a long time since my last post, so I thought I would provide a Pattaya update. I have lived here 7 years now and each and every year the city gets better and better. The new 30 story Hilton is set to open this month on top of a 7 story world class mall that opened last year.
If you have never been to “Walking Street” in Pattaya, you really have no idea what you are missing. It is without question my favorite 3 mile stretch of bars in the world.
I go down there 3 to 4 times a week and almost every week I find a new GO-GO bar that has opened or one I have never been to before. Why some foreigners comes to Thailand and thinks it is a good idea to spend a ton of money opening a GO-GO bar is a good investment, I have no idea, but I am glad they do.
And forget about the 1,000’s of beer bars on the street, I have never been to 99% of them. This is a great time to come to Pattaya; there are a ton of girls and not too many customers.
I am able to take a GO-GO girl now for 1,000 Baht short time and 1,500 Baht long time, plus the 600 Baht bar fine. I was never able to do that before, each price was 500 Baht more.
These are not the bars #1 girls, which never drop their price, since they get bar fined every night, but they are the bars #2 girls. You need to be nice to them and buy them a drink, talk to them a while and make them laugh. Also, the girl has to like you to go with you for that price, and I am sorry to say they are just like us and have different taste, so they all do not like you.
But, really who cares, since there are 10,000’s of them, you just move on to the next one. I want to make a special point of acknowledging the free-lancers on Walking Street. They are simply unreal and I have never seen so many stunners before here, they are everywhere.
If you are there between 10PM and midnight, 7’s to 9’s are walking by constantly, 1,000’s of them. I am talking about girls that look like movie stars or models. They are all heading to the discos. Over the past few years many of them have opened, which I don’t like going to. They are dark, crowded and the drinks are expensive.
Instead I just hang out on Walking Street for 5 minutes and find one I like and start talking to her. If I still like her then, I ask her if she wants a drink and I take her to a beer bar located right on the ocean. It is a nice place to sit, with a view of the ocean, the drinks are cheap and you can get to know the girl a little better.
I cannot stress this enough, regardless of where you take the girl from, always but always take one that you like and one that LIKES you. If you just take a girl that does NOT like you, more than likely you will have a bad experience.
The freelancers on Walking Street range in price from 500 Baht for an average looker to 1,000 Baht for a stunner and there is no bar fine involved. So these girls are without question the best deals in the city.
I am talking about getting a 8 or 9 stunner for 1,000 Baht, how can you beat that? You can’t is the answer. I look forward to seeing you here, it is a great time to come, the girls are everywhere and the customers are nowhere to be seen.

I came here with my filipina girl. She loves girls and is always trying to find more girls to play. We have had some good success but a little more difficult as the girl needs to like both of us and we need to both like the girl.
Met a great girl on soi 6 bar.
But now walking street they are all asking for 1500 to 2500 baht for short time?
What is that all about. We just say no. We did have stunner and hot one for both of us we took for 2000.
As a friend told me better to tell them what you will pay and not ask?
But I don't like to negotiate.
Either way I am having a great time and we will try a walk on the beach later at night.
Found one bar with lots of lesbians that had fun with my girl.
We told them she was a lady boy and they pulled down her pants to check it out.

I agree with the quality of freelancers knocking about, 2 weeks ago there where some good ones. Walking street is max 1/2 mile long, I know American gallons are smaller than the real ones (British) but I thought the mile was the same.

There's almost no one here it seems. Many gogos are easily 10 girls to a guy. Many beer bars are 20 girls and no guys. This is a great time to be here and I'm taking full advantage!
And the Coconut Bar (Beach Road) is packed with cuties. I think the people who post that the girl count is down or they can't find girls are mostly losers who could not find a girl if the odds were a million to one.
I can't imagine how it could be any easier than this.

If I go to the top of Soi Diana and cross directly over Soi Buakow, will I be on Soi Leng Kee or Soi Chaiyapoon?
I have booked a guesthouse on Soi Leng Kee and was pretty sure on the location. However some recent posts have places Soi Chaiyapoon exactly where i thought i was staying!!
I've checked on a couple of maps, but they aren't very detailed and don't have either Soi clearly marked.
Help!

There is an easy solution to that problem. In fact there are many.
First, on Soi 6 there are a ton of Bi-Girls, you can just go from bar to bar.
Second, at the Soapies in 2nd by the Big C in the fish bowel there are also a ton of girls that would love going with both of you.
Third, your best bet of Walking Street is to hit the Go-Go bars that have Jacuzzi’s that put on live lessie shows. Sorry, I do not know all of their names, but there are many of them. These girls will start attacking your girlfriend.
If you just go to the Go-Go bars themselves at each one there are usually a few bi-girls or true lesbians that will go after each and every girl that walks in the door.
One other thing to keep in mind, Thai’s are kind of funny and can be prejudice. Some of them just might not like girls from the Philippians, but do not let it worry you, there will be many that do.
Remember these girls are just like all of us, they have their likes and dislikes. You can pretty much be sure 99% do not want to go with Indians, they hate them.
Some like Japanese guys, they pay the big money. Some like black guys, they have big other things. By the way one of the funniest things I ever heard was a Thai girl explaining what she liked and she said she liked “Chocolate Men.” I almost feel off the bar stool when I first heard that.
If you follow my above advice, you will have more girls than you know what to do with in one day. In fact you could have 5 great experiences a day if you wanted too.
For the rest of you that visit here, the type of girl you like is just not going to jump into bed with you the second you get here. You have to do a little work finding them and that is the fun part. Going from Go-Go bar until you find the one you want.
I am a tit man myself and for the most part Thai’s girls are not that well endowed in that area, so I have to spend a little time looking for the one I want that night. That time I spend looking is a blast, since I am messing around with girls at every bar.

First, of course I do not work for the tourist board.
Second, I have to apologize, since I know there are many UK citizens that read this board and for them to understand anything, I really need to be very specific and state every detail.
Walking Street itself is at least 1 mile long that is not debatable. But, when you take into account the 6 or 7 Soi’s that stretch from 2nd road to Walking Street that all have 100’s of bars on them, and then the little roads that connect one Soi to another, this small area has way more than 3 miles of bars contained within it.
(Soi’s means roads or streets in Thai for UK nationals reading this; see I am getting better and explaining everything in great detail so you can understand perfectly.)

First, the standard price for a Go-Go bar girl for short time is 1,500 Baht. But there is nothing standard about Pattaya, and the stunners will want more, so pay it if you like them.
The girls will often ask for 2,000 Baht for short time since they know you are going to negotiate with them. Thais love to negotiate for everything, and they think you are stupid if you don’t.
If they are asking for 2,500 for short time and will not drop their price, either they don’t like either you or your girl, or they think it will be too much work taking care of both of you.
Last night at a Go-Go I had a real stunner that I liked and she liked me. I bought her a drink and she was all over me and finally asked me to bar fine her. I asked her how much, she said “2,000 for short time or 3,000 for long time.”
I came back with “1,000 for short time or 1,500 for long time.” I then told her “It is up to you”, that is a famous saying in Thailand and you want to make sure you use it. It forces them to make a quick decision.
Then I told her, “Mi Bin Lie” which means “No Problem” in Thai, that I would just go out to Walking Street and get a girl for 1,000 Baht for short time and not have to pay the bar fin. About 3 seconds later she agreed to 1,000 for short time, since she knew I would not have any problem getting a girl on Walking Street for that amount.
For you guys coming here for the 1st time, learning how to negotiate with these girls is certainly going to be a little difficult at first. There is certainly an art to that comes with experience.
I will give you another example. On Soi 6 just as you enter the Soi from 2nd road there was a 9.5 with a set of DD’s which I just love. The first time I see her, I offer to buy her a drink. A little advice here, always offer to buy the girl a drink if you are interested in her. She gets a little money from it, but the reason I do it is so that I can talk to her and see how much fun she is and how horney she is.
I like her a lot and I ask her how much, she says 700 Baht, but the standard price on Soi 6 is 500 Baht and she won’t drop her price. I tell her why should I pay you 700 when there are another 1,000 girls I can only pay 500. She does not drop her price and I find somebody else.
A few days later when I am on Soi 6 she ask me if I will buy her a drink. I tell her do you go for 500, she says no again. I just wonder off and find somebody else I like. This same exact things happens 3 or 4 more times.
Finally on the 5th time, she ask me if I will buy her a drink. I ask her if she will go for 500 and this time she finally says yes. It just took a little while working on her.
Of course, if you are coming here for a few days or weeks, you cannot do that and if you find a girl you really like pay her what she is asking.

To further clarify. As you reach Soi Buahkao, straight ahead is Soi LengKee as stated. But turn left on Buahkao and your next right is Chaiyapoon/Excite split road. Chaiya on the right fork and Excite on the left fork.

It wasn’t the 200 Baht, you missed it. I did it because it was the principle of the thing and the fact that I had a 1,000 or more other options at 500 Baht.
By the way, she was fantastic and I have been with her 30 or more times now, which adds up to a savings of 6,000 Baht and growing by the week. But, then again, if she was not great, it would have only saved me 200 Baht.
