In the Colombian cities go to the hotspots at night and you will do fine. You like to dance, are young, educated and well travelled, I don't see a problem. Brazil is the best spot on the planet for Latin women. Ipanema beach, great food, awesome vibe (you won't find that vibe in Colombia, sorry).

Although Spanish is more important to Colombian women than Portuguese is to Brazilian women it's the only problem I have with Brazil. I do NOT want to learn Portuguese. Also the guys on this board are budget conscious and not reallly into the slightly higer prices for airfare and hookers that Brazil offers.

I would live in Brazil if it weren't for the USD $1100, 10 hour flight and the Portuguese language thing. Their economy is booming and crime is down.

You will have a great time in Colombia.

Man, I did NOT want to have to learn Portuguese either, but I'll tell ya what, after deciding to learn it, it's really not that difficult a transition from Spanish, especially if your spanish grammar is already good, and it's a fun, sexy language.

I would say that speaking Portuguese is just as important to Brazillian girls as spanish is to Colombianas, unless you just hang out in the touristy areas of Brazil.

Funny, the other night I was translating for a Colombian guy in a night club in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Though similar for sure, the spanish will only get ya so far in Brazil.

It's also fun to speak Portuguese with the Colombianas, they find it fun to try and translate it to spanish, and it sounds sexy.

Seriously, your acknowledgement of the allure of South America is really refreshing reading coming from someone who is in the spring time of his life. I hope you find only the best. Because of various considerations, thankfully health is not one of them, I cannot move to Colombia, although I have recently purchased an apartment in Medellin. I've done the next best thing. I've sponsored a beautiful Piasa as a student here in the US. She is beautiful, an ass that ought to be insured, and a very serious student. The reward of seeing her grow and develop in the Spring time of her life is a great gift to me. Brazillians in Rio are just so much more laid back and the women who are out and about are totally approachable. Must be the beach scene.

Throwing Portuguese into the mix, a very Italianesque language, would kill me more and I would end up with a mix of all three. If Brazil were only 5 hours from the mainland I would give it a shot, the whole 9.

Also, not just in the beach scene of Rio, but I find Brazillian girls from all over, generally more easily approachable than most other latin or anglo girls.

What airline offers those prices? I've been trying to figure out how to get from Medellin to the beaches (CTG) without spending two days on a bus and all I can find are flight routed through Bogota at US$260 or more.

If there was a straight, level road anywhere in Colombia the buses wouldn't be too bad. But with limited time, you won't save that much $$ by busing it, and I don't think you'll see much.

If yout ake the bus you might meet a nice single mom with 2 young kids on her lap in the seat beside you as she can't afford to buy more than 1 ticket.

My body Mr. PO from Panama is breaking all kinds of records at My Place. He was here about a month ago and partook of the company of 24 "cuties" in 10 days. A combination of La Mayorista girls and las "casas". That`s 24 different "cuties", not sessions, because he did repeat. That would be even more. You can not. I have tried booking from Avianca and Copa. The flights are cheap. Unless you buy from the US. Then the price is sometimes almost triple for the same ticket. I will be purchasing my ticket in country for that very reason. I am not sure why they apply the very obvious gringo tax.

I even called them to ask why the prices differed depending on which country you're from (when it asks you at the initial entry to the site) and why I couldn't purchase one at the Colombian price online using my US credit card, and the representative explained to me that it goes on a sliding scale depending which country you're from.

The thing to do is just fly into Bogota from the US (as it was the cheapest) and then buy the tickets on the spot at the Avianca counter as soon as you land at El Dorado, to get the Colombian price. It kind of riled my ass that the "gringo tax" applied even to established institutions.

If you don't want to buy the tickets immediately at the airport, I know they have Avianca counters at many of the Exito stores.

Try these, no increase for being in the USA and booking. [url]www.satena.com[/url], [url]www.aires.aero[/url] And [url]www.easyfly.com.co[/url] These 3 airlines offer flights to many of the smaller, larger cities in Colombia. They fly out of Herrera airport in Poblado, much nore convienient that the international a / p in Rio negra.
