No complaints so far.[/QUOTE]Your post illustrates at least for the new comers who have only been coming here since the Pandemic how good it still can be here, albeit the landscape was very different here prior to the Pandemic as one milestone, and the other milestone being the arrival of the Venezuelans starting many years ago.

I can remember when there were no Venezuelans, or at least I didn't run into any 10 years ago in Centro.

I guess this whole discussion by various posters begs the question is there really any better mongering options in Latin America besides Rio that has been mentioned.

And as mentioned by other posters, the good old glory days of Tijuana and Sosua are long gone, yet I don't see Medellin going this way.

So we just have to make the best of things here as you mention, and savor the memories of bygone times at the different locales.

I believe JB2 said people were either complaining or having a good time here.

For me it's been both.

Plant the seed and your FB friends list will grow very time. Don't be so selective in the beginning and as noted, look at the posts on FB profiles and comments and likes and you can mine those for more friend requests. As your list grows, then you can go back and start pruning the girls who you would not actually see. As noted, once you have a certain amount of girls in Medellin, FB starts recommending young attractive girls in Medellin to you and girls will start making friend requests to you too.

How was it before? Going back 6 years, there were guys saying that Medellin was crumbling and gringos were ruining everything by overpaying girls. In 6 years there will be the same complaints. For some the sky is always falling.

6 years ago lleras wasn't bombarded by centro sws.

6 years ago these paisas didn't have inflated egos like they do now.

6 years ago there wasn't as much exposure (passport bros) to this hobby in mde as now.

If you're set in your ways that's fine. But there is a big difference from 6 years ago.

That said one can pollyanna their way through about anything. There's even some Costa Rica pollyannas left, though anyone who was there one to three decades ago knows the venue is now a mere shadow of it's former self. Nonetheless if one is from rural Alabama and has no skills with women, a Florida strip club where they get some feels for $200 is a wonderful time. So who are we to spoil their "great time?" We don't but can talk about the quest for a better time. Medellin is still a good time but it may be time to explore some of the less familar spots around the city, or other cities in Colombia altogether. Medellin has really exploded on Youtube, not only with sex tourism promotion but hawkers selling it as "the digital nomad Mecca. " Seems there's a new one of these grabbing a meaphone everyday. Running a semi-successful Youtube channel probably brings in enough to live pretty good down there.

In fact, it's like night and day compared to six years ago.

The issue is whether guys are going to accept the differences, or not, meaning going elsewhere, or accept them.

So depending on how a guy rolls, he will decide whether he will continue coming here or not.

And for all the new mongers here who have only been coming here since the Pandemic versus since before the Pandemic, it has changed dramatically which nobody as I mentioned will dispute here.

And for the newcomers, if you think it's good now, well at least for me it was way better years ago.

Sometimes there is a lack of distinction in these posts between the older mongers in their late 50's and above, and young mongers in their 20's and 30's or so. There is a big difference. For the older guys, you do have to understand that if you are meeting girls young enough to be your granddaughter, she is meeting you to make some money. Of course, she would rather hang out with young fit handsome guys her age who can speak Spanish. She is not interested in hanging out with you for free, and she would like to well compensated for spending time with you. Otherwise, she would prefer to hang out with younger good looking guys. As for the younger mongers, if you think the girls prefer to hang out with you guys rather than us old guys, more power to you. I was young once so I understand the attitude. One day, if you are lucky, you will be an older monger like me still banging girls 18-22, just like when you were younger.

Now, for me, an older guy, that is one of the attractions of Medellin. I don't mind paying a reasonable amount to have sex with a young attractive woman 18-22, and in Medelllin, there are plenty of women in that category eager to spend time with me and other older gringos to make some money. It is not difficult to find them. They usually put in the effort to get me to want to see them again, and they are happy with the money they make. Win Win Situation for both parties.

I spent 3 days and nights with a hot Vennie in Bocagrande right before Covid hit and fucked everything up. She showed me a lot of pics of her beautiful country. Gorgeous women, great beaches, advanced infrastructure. It could be such a great place to visit but I won't be going there anytime soon. Hopefully they can get a new government. It used to be the richest country in SA.
