Long time lurker here. Thanks for the help. I owe you guys this report.
I drove in on Monday the 23rd through San Ysidro. Bought insurance over the phone from Geico. Cheeper and faster than last year at the border. Crossing took an hour and a half. Lost my phone connection so finding the Ticuan Hotel was an interesting mission including streets closed for construction and flooding. I loved the Ticuan last year and this was no exception though it seemed that they may have a few less people on their staff. The TV didn't work very well but the waiter remembered my name at the excellent breakfast and made an pretty good Old Fashioned from scratch. The hotel raised their prices a bit. Last year about $60 this year about $75. I paid in pesos so its about the same. Brought dollars for tips and cabs.
Went over to Hong Kong by cab ($5) about 6 pm and walked in on the shaving cream show. These girls were having fun and mobbed some of the Mexican guys with hugs. Lots of clean up. Last year for a buck or two I stuck my hands into their warm, tasty friendship and was rewarded with happy squeals. The girls in the cream show this year were not the hottest in the club either day but they know how to have fun. The Mexican guys loved them. Hong Kong had about 40 girls in the place. I bought two different brands in two different stores for about $2. 50 per pill. I tried them out later that day. Houston, we have ignition.
I had good luck at Adelita's again. I walked in, strode to the bar, did a double take at a tall dark-haired beauty talking to her three friends.
